Today many children and youths are allocated to ?The Swedish Authority of Child and Youth Psychiatry (BUP) for the sake of being investigated by means of a neuropsychiatric inquire and many of which are assigned the diagnosis ADHD. During recent years ?The Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare? has declared, in it?s annual account of the current psychiatric state of Swedish Children and Youths, that the healthcare provided for those with neuropsychiatric diagnoses ? such as Asperger syndrome and ADHD, has increased.ADHD is short for Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, which implies neuropsychiatric impediments i.e. hyper activity, inadvertence and an inability to control impulses.The aim of the Study is to describe and analyze how youth, in the age range of sixteen to eighteen years of age, diagnosed with ADHD define themselves, their daily life, their social state, their next to kin relationships and, finally, their concept of their future.The Study is qualitative.

The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of antibodies against the intracellular protozoan Encephalitozoon cuniculi in healthy pet rabbits. Encephalitozoonosis is an important differential diagnosis to ascending infection with Pasteurella multocida in the ears since a common symptom is vestibular syndrome. Samples were collected from healthy rabbits that were brought to an animal clinic in Stockholm for some kind of prophylactic procedure. The samples were analysed by an India-ink Immunoreaction test / Carbon Immunoassay. Of 106 rabbits 7 (6.6%) were seropositve.

Given the possibility that the world, as we know it, is a consequence of human interaction and verbal communication our understanding of the world can be seen as contingent rather than essentially given. Conceptions such as "entrepreneur", "woman" and "man" can then be understood as socially constructed subjects. Departing from poststructural and social constructionist perspectives I will examine medial representation of women and men as entrepreneurs. My main purpose is to examine how the entrepreneur is constructed as a discursive subject in the journal Eget Företag. Drawing upon Ernesto Laclau´s and Chantal Mouffe´s Discourse Theory and the poststructuralist feminist theoretical perspective of Judith Butler I will discuss both the construction of the entrepreneur as well as the more explicit question; is gender significant for the construction of the entrepreneur and entrepreneurship in Eget Företag? In this study I come to the conclusion that the discourse of entrepreneurship, as well as the journalistic discourse, draws upon discourses of femininity and masculinity but also upon discourses of ethnicity.

Sverige brukar ofta betraktas som ett av världens minst korrupta länder. På senare år har det dock uppdagats flera korruptionsskandaler i Sverige på lokal nivå som fått stor medial uppmärksamhet. Särskilt stort massmedialt utrymme har Sveriges näststörsta stad Göteborg fått som skämtsamt kallats för Muteborg. Efter de många korruptionsskandalerna som uppdagats i Göteborg gavs granskningskommissionen i uppgift att utreda vilka orsaker som orsakat de korrupta förhållandena. Granskningskommissionens slutsatser möttes av kritik från korruptionsforskare som dock menade att granskningskommissionens rapport pekade på en viktig aspekt.

Hälsa och sättet man valt att leva sitt liv på ligger i fokus i vårt samhälle idag. Detta väckte mitt intresse att studera vilken påverkan media har på vår livsstil. Media har en inflytelserik position när det gäller människors inställningar och kunskaper i området hälsa och livsstil. Mitt syfte är att få en förståelse för hur människor påverkas av medias rapporter om livsstil samt att ta reda på om media kan motivera till ändringar i människors livsstil. Frågeställningarna jag kommer att söka svar på är; Hur fungerar medias påverkan av människors livsstil? Vilken betydelse har media när det gäller val av livsstil? Det är en kvalitativ studie där jag valt att genomföra intervjuer vid insamlandet av min empiri.

The Swedish government ratified on May 1 2009 an amendment of marital law, resulting in same-sex marriage becoming legalized. With the rights of the Christian Swedish state church to officiate weddings originating from the same law, the church was thereby faced with two options: Either officially include same-sex couples in the Christian concept of holy matrimony and keep the right to officiate weddings; or give up the right to officiate weddings altogether. An official decision to accept the terms was reached on October 22 2009, but not without being preceded by an agitated medial debate.This research attempts to analyze the arguments of the debate in three stages: In the first stage the arguments are categorized according to their respective ideological standpoint. In the second stage these categories are examined from post-modern, social constructivist and socialization theory perspectives. Based on this, the third stage sees the arguments analyzed from a viewpoint based in the Copenhagen school concept of securization.The research concludes that the debate does not only simply feature two sides with differences of opinion; but rather that the arguments of the two opposing sides are founded in a common view of the other side as a fundamental threat to ones conception of a sound society..

It is a study of what kind of stereotypes that are used and also what kind of pictures that has been used to portrait the women.

Vi lever idag i en tid där media i hög grad är integrerat i vårt vardagsliv. Medieutbudet genomgår samtidigt en fas av både utökning och förändring. Till detta har vi alla att förhålla oss till. Detta gäller inte minst ungdomar i sitt identitetsarbete. Vår studie har som syfte att beskriva ungdomars identitetsarbete i en kontext av medial påverkan och kompisar.

Kejneaffären i början av 1950-talet var en så kallad rättsröteaffär där en pastor Kejne anklagade rättstaten för korruption med homosexuella undertoner. I den här uppsatsen har jag undersökt hur tidningar framställde homosexualitet och homosexuella män i texter förknippde med Kejneaffärens inledande månader som medial såpopera. Den tidigare forskningen menar att det mediala klimatet var homofobiskt, vilket innebär rädsla och intolerans gentemot gruppen homosexualitet. Den homosexuelle framställdes som "den andre", som ett hot mot det normala samhället. Detta ville jag undersöka närmare genom att studera hur andrefieringen och det stereotypiseringen skedde.

The aim of this study is to from a gender perspective to examine whether spa is a place for both genders or it is focused on female spa visitors only. Also to study the organisation`s point of view of gender performances within spa tourism as well as to see spa organizations views on gender distribution.To be able to answer the questions, the qualitative method was used in our research. The method is relevant to our study since we sought to gain a deeper understanding of the phenomenon. During the data collection we have used previous researchs and qualitative interviews. Overall we had conducted four interviews, one of which was the personal interview, two were made by email and one by phone call.

This essay deals with the diseases osteoporosis and osteoarthritis in a medieval population from Visby in Sweden. The aim has been to evaluate to what extent and in what way these diseases have influenced the people of a relatively large harbour town during the Middle Ages. 24 individuals were analysed osteologicaly and 19 of them became subject for measurements of bone density through DEXA readings. Furthermore four individuals were x-rayed based on external differences due to osteoarthritis and a change in the depression at the base of the medial surface of the greater trochanter. Similar studies have been made in Trondheim, Norway and Wharram Percy, Great Britain.

SammandragDenna uppsats handlar om vad Aspergers syndrom är och vad det innebär för barnen i skolan. I texten ges en förklaring till de olika kriterierna som experterna följer för att ställa diagnosen Aspergers syndrom och även hur föräldrar, förskolan och skolan kan hjälpa barnen med Aspergers syndrom att lära sig samhällets samspel och regler.Uppsatsen har genomförts med hjälp av litteratur från tidigare forskningar och samtal med lärare och specialpedagogen. Det som jag lägger tyngdpunkten på, är min egen undersökning med observation och samtal med en flicka i 11 års ålder som har diagnostiserats ADHD och Aspergers syndrom.Undersökningen visar att barnen med Aspergers syndrom behöver ha struktur samt tydliga och okomplicerade regler, samt att de kan ha vissa svårigheter med språket och det sociala beteendet. Men med hjälp av tålamod och vilja kan de lära sig att samspela med omgivningen även om de inte förstår varför.Nyckelord: Aspergers syndrom, diagnos, specialpedagogik..

Syftet med den här studien var att belysa hur offentlig medial debatt om papperslösa personers rätt till vård ser ut i Sverige. Studien hade en kvalitativ ansats. Metoden som användes var idé- och ideologianalys och med hjälp av denna analyserades ett antal tidningsartiklar. Om papperslösa personers situation i allmänhet och deras tillgång till hälso- och sjukvård finns tidigare forskning, men det saknas studier om debatten som sådan. Resultatet av denna studie visade att debattens huvudsakligen förs av journalister och politiker men även av andra aktörer såsom läkare, olika typer av organisationer och till viss del privatpersoner.
