From a new perspective, this paper will examine the artillery and the pike role in the period 1700-1712 and the battalion´s battle formation in the Caroline combat tactics. Carolinian battle tactics were practiced during the period 1700-1721. The results from my study will be compared to existing research opinion regarding the selected subject areas, if the result confirms the thesis or question the existing research opinion. The source material used consists of eyewitness accounts from the period consisting of diaries, memoir, biography, general muster rolls and historical literature covering the subject. The analysis shows that the Caroline artillery took part in 12 battles during the period of 1700-1712.

Ett fungerande intranät kan idag utgöra en stor tillgång för ett företag, en förutsättning för detta är att intranätet används av de anställda då det är de som aktivt ska vara med och skapa intranätets innehåll. Ett väl fungerande intranät kan bidra till att information hittas lättare och att kunskapsspridningen inom organisationen ökar. Att undersöka om och hur ledningen på Universitetssjukhuset i Lund arbetar för att lyfta intranätet och intranätsanvändningen till en högre nivå är uppsatsens syfte. Undersökningen som genomfördes utformades med en induktiv ansats. Nyfikenheten väcktes i empirin och verkligheten, problemformuleringen och syftet var av ett utforskande slag ? empirin leder in i teorin.

My purpose with this thesis has been to find out how to choreograph a fight sequence in ananimated movie. With the help of professional stuntmen and dancers, I have tried to findmethods and techniques used on stage and in live-action film and apply those to animatedfilms. To successfully identify the techniques used, I conducted a number of interviews andanalyzed literature that deals with the subject of fight choreography. By the analysis of themethods provided by the choreographers and selected parts of the literature, I have compiled anumber of steps I recommend 3D animators should to take in their efforts to create their ownfight choreography..

Objectives: The aim in this thesis has been to generate information relevant for strategic positioning and future evaluations within the scientific field of sport and exercise psychology. This has been done by request, and in collaboration with The Group of Sport and Exercise Psychology at the Institution of Psychology at the University of Umeå.Research questions:  (1) How does the cognitive structure within the field of sport and exercise psychology take shape with respect to research topics in current sport-psychological research, i.e. the research front? (2) How does the social structure within the field of sport and exercise psychology take shape with respect to formal scientific collaboration?Data: 879 articles published between 2008-2011 were used in this study. The population of articles were collected from a set of 5 core journals: International Journal of Sport Psychology, Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, The Sport Psychologist, Psychology of Sport and Exercise.

Abstrakt: Kommunikation mellan medborgare och folkvalda har en central funktion för att demokratin skall hållas levande. Denna kommunikation bereds det möjlighet för bland annat via IT-stöd i olika former, varav e-post är den vanligaste. Denna studie visar dock att nivån på elektronisk kommunikation mellan medborgare och kommunalpolitiker är låg, trots att politikerna är positiva till fenomenet. Denna studie, som är baserad på intervjuer med skånska kommunpolitiker från fyra olika kommuner, fann att elektronisk kommunikation i första hand kan ökas genom att på olika sätt påverka medborgarnas vilja till att ta denna kontakt men att folkvalda också bör ta till sig tanken att mer aktivt söka kontakt med medborgarna. Vårt förslag är att denna kontakt tas via forum som är av mindre politisk karaktär men där medborgarna naturligt befinner sig.

With this essay we would like to examine to what extent the ancient Icelandic literature could count as a part of Sweden?s literal cultural heritage in schools today, if it through seeking information is possible to say whether this literature have any connections to Sweden. Our questions of issue are:1. What kind of connection is there between ancient Icelandic literature and Swedish literary cultural heritage and what are the ancient Icelandic literature premises? in the Swedish upper secondary school?2.

Use of lighting is crucial to make public urban places available during dark hours. Landscape architects participate in planning of lighting, but during our education there is very little taught on the subject. Through this study we approach the subject of lighting by looking into lighting methods for urban plant materials during winter. In this thesis we look into ways to emphasize the visible characters and experiences of urban plants during winter season using light. Target audience are landscape architect students and landscape architects without knowledge of lighting. The part of the thesis that describe basic conditions for, and visual characters of plants can be useful to lighting designers without knowledge in this subject. Working methods used were the following: ? Pre-study about light and lighting techniques through literature and dialogues. ? Compiling important visual winter plant characters through photography and literature. ? Outdoor light experiments with plants.

Mitt syfte med uppsatsen är att studera M/P-programmet som ett verktyg i matematikundervisningen. Samtidigt vill jag ta reda på hur lärare som använt/använder programmet uppfattar verktyget. Jag vill även få en inblick i hur matematikundervisning kan bedrivas utan lärobok. M/P-programmet riktar sig till lärare i grundskolan och omfattar 17 matematikmoment. Det matematikmaterial som finns i programmet utgör en bas som läraren kan bygga sin matematikundervisning på.

The purpose of this study was to examine if women's career was affected by becoming a mother after 35 years old. It was also our intention to discover if it was an intentional or an unintentional choice to postpone giving birth just for the sake of the career. We have read articles that are implying that women´s career possibilities, combined with children, is difficult and of current interest in today's society. Science has shown that it no longer appears to be women's main life objective to give birth but they now also wants a career. We wanted to shed some light on the subject from two different angles, so we looked both from the women's perspective and from the employer's perspective.

Standardsystem görs idag för att passa de flesta verksamheter, och ses i de flesta fall som det naturliga valet vid införskaffandet av ett nytt IT-system. Skillnaderna i att skaffa ett standardsystem i förhållande till ett skräddarsytt system är stora. Processen börjar med att välja system och själva utvecklingen består av att anpassa systemet. Vid en första anblick kan det se ut att vara en lätt, snabb och billig process men det visar sig oftast vara en komplex, tidsödande och dyr process som leder till leverantörsberoende. Uppsatsens syfte är därför att närmare undersöka vilka anpassningsrelaterade problem och förhållanden det är som gör att ett standardsystem inte fullt ut lever upp till kundens krav i samband med införande och underhåll av systemet.

The teaching of modern foreign languages within Swedish educational system has been a subject of a number of alarming reports in recent years. Several studies have shown that students lack motivation to learn any language but English. Of particular concern is the young males? underachieving and disinterest in foreign languages. In the meantime, a number of international studies and the statistical data from Swedish national agencies of secondary and higher education (Skolverket and Högskoleverket) have indicated that Russian is one of the languages that are favoured by males. The primary goal of my case study was, therefore, to examine students? motivation to learn Russian and their attitudes towards language, community and Russian-speaking people.

In today?s hectic society more and more people experience stress and our lifestyle gives us a very limited chance to recover. For some it sometimes goes that far that they get burnt-out, they have pushed themselves to the ultimate limit. There are different methods and treatments to recover but one very efficient treatment is to spend time in a rehabilitation garden. There the patients get treated by therapeutics that uses the garden as the main tool.The fact that gardens and parks have a positive effect on humans have been used by people for a long time but it?s not until recently that the research has taken speed.

Det finns i dagsläget mängder av formaliserade systemutvecklingsmetoder, men det finns även företag som väljer att arbeta mer fritt efter erfarenhet. En aspekt som vi finner intressant är hur användandet av metoder eller avsaknaden av desamma påverkar ett företag ur ett profilperspektiv. Vi undersöker hur Know IT ECM i Malmö arbetar vid utveckling av system, för att sedan jämföra detta med hur deras image, identitet och strategi ser ut för att urskönja vad som är bra respektive dåligt. För att göra denna analys har CMM- och SAMM-ramverken använts som stöd. Datainsamlingen har mestadels bestått av intervjuer.

Detta examensarbete är en del av ett utbyte mellan skolor i Sverige och skolor i en kåkstad i Sydafrika. Syftet med examensarbetet är att undersöka matematiklärares medvetenhet om sitt matematiska språk och lärarnas uppfattning om betydelsen av det matematiska språket för elevernas lärande. Betydelsen av det matematiska språket är inskrivet i både svenska och syd-afrikanska läroplaner för matematik på gymnasiet. Tolv lärare har blivit intervjuade bland annat om sin medvetenhet och om de tror att det matematiska språket är viktigt för elevernas lärande. Resultaten visar att alla intervjuade lärare är medvetna om sitt matematiska språk men även att lärare väljer att använda sig av det matmatiska språket på olika sätt.

Barn och ungdomar kan lära sig matematik på många olika sätt. Att lära in matematik utomhus är för många främmande, men kan fungera utmärkt som ett komplement till den traditionella klassrumsundervisningen i grundskolans tidigare år. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka utomhusmatematikens för- och nackdelar. Mina slutsatser i detta arbete är i huvudsak byggda på resultat från sex strukturerade intervjuer med pedagoger vid en skola i västra Sverige, samt forskningslitteratur. Samtliga intervjuade pedagoger har erfarenhet av att arbeta utomhus med matematik.
