Voltage sag indices are a way of quantifying the performance of the power supply, as far as voltage sags are concerned. Indices can be defined for individual events, for individual sites, and for a whole system. A standard method for single-event methods is part of IEC standard 61000-4-30.This thesis emphasizes the importance of voltage sag indices and different methods for calculating three-phase voltage sag characteristics. Three-phase events measured in a medium network voltage over period of one month were analyzed, results examined and statistically evaluated. An algorithm for calculating voltage sag characteristics and indices was created in Matlab.

This master thesis was conducted in order to investigate the effects of the browsing species Yeheb on animal tissues in Swedish landrace goats and to make a literature review in order to increase the knowledge of the importance of this plant for livestock production in Somalia. The evergreen Yeheb bush is a very important feeding source for grazing and browsing animals in Somalia during the dry period. Yeheb contains cordeauxiaquinone that stains the bones of the animals red/pink, which has been an increasing problem when exporting meat to foreign countries. In an experiment, two goats were fed dry and fresh leaves from the Yeheb bush for one and two months, respectively. The goats did not feed the intended amount of dry leaves, since the supply and palatability was not as high as estimated.

Denna rapport är resultatet av ett examensarbete som utförts av Fredrik Eriksson och Johan Hultgren, studenter vid fakulteten för teknik- och naturvetenskap på Karlstads universitet. Arbetet omfattar 22,5 högskolepoäng och är den avslutade delen på Maskiningenjörsprogrammet respektive Innovations- och designingenjörsprogrammet.Arbetsgivaren har varit Partnertech Karlskoga AB som fick ett uppdrag från BAE Systems Bofors angående möjligheten att kostnadseffektivisera mellankaliber 40mm och 57mm kulspränggranater genom att titta på alternativa material och tillverkningsmetoder. Produkterna som arbetet behandlar går under benämning ytterhylsa och är en delkomponent av den färdiga kulspränggranaten. Ytterhylsorna tillverkas idag från massiv rundstång av material SS2242 (Orvar Supreme) genom skärande bearbetning i CNC-svarv och anses idag vara för dyr för att uppfylla de krav som ställs på nästa generations ammunition. Det får inte förekomma några dimensionsändringar på ytterhylsorna och den färdiga konstruktionens funktionalitet och säkerhet skall vara oförändrad.En väl genomförd research var ett måste för att kunna gå vidare med problemet.

The aim of this study is to evaluate whether the working model, presented by The Swedish Floorball Federation, has been a good method to work with gender equality within Swedish floorball associations. The purpose of the The Swedish Floorball Federation?sproject was for its associations to develop a plan of action for how to act to be an equal treatment association pursuing an equal treatment sport. 13 associations answered the questionnaire study. The result show that the great majority clearly found a need of change to become more equally treating and most of those associations have somewhat of an idea how to realize those changes.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how propaganda has been used by two dictatorships, namely Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union under the leadership of Josef Stalin. By examining a number of propaganda posters and paintings, we aim to find similarities as well as differences in how the two nations attempted to create imagined communities amongst their people. While conducting this examination of the propaganda material, we have acquired and used some of the ideas of Benedict Anderson, who has coined a concept that he calls ?Imagined Communities?. In conclusion, it is established that the most obvious similarity is that both leaders are heavily included in their propaganda material, both pictured and mentioned in text.

The aim with this masters thesis is to investigate how gender is presented in Swedish picture books, in order to give librarians and other actors in the field knowledge about what kind of books they supply impressionable children with. I investigate if and how the changes concerning gender-equality in the Swedish society during the last 25 years are reflected in childrens literature, and compare how men and women are portrayed in four books from the early 1980s with four books from the 2000s. My study is delimited to three aspects of character formation, introduced by Maria Nikolajeva: description of psychology, actions and relations to other characters. It is carried through by consultation of Yvonne Hirdmans theory of how men and women are held apart and that the man in this relation constitutes the norm as well as Nikolajevas list of typical male and female characteristics. By reading and interpreting the chosen books, I analyse both text and pictures.

I Förskolans miljö ? Sju förskolepedagogers uppfattningar om inomhusmiljöns påverkan på barns utveckling och lärande, författad av Emma Broberg och Anna Wallén, studeras barns miljö på två förskolor. Intervjuer med sju pedagoger och observationer på de båda förskolorna har legat till grund för denna studie. Syftet med studien är att synliggöra hur de sju pedagogerna tänker kring utformandet av den fysiska inomhusmiljön och dess påverkan på barnens utveckling och lärande. Den frågeställning som har varit utgångspunkt för denna studie är: Hur tänker pedagogerna kring inomhusmiljöns utformning och påverkan på barnens utveckling och lärande i förskolan? Den pedagogsiska verksamhetens utformning har en stor betydelse för barns lärande och den pedagogiska miljön ska vara utformad så att barns lärande underlättas, stimuleras och utmanas.

Inom kort stundar en av Försvarsmaktens kanske största processer sedan förändringen mot ett insatsförsvar påbörjades under 90-talet. Soldatförsörjningen övergår från värnplikt till en professionalisering av hela personalstyrkan och soldater skall på frivillig bas rekryteras och anställas för att fylla upp Försvarsmaktens insatsförband. Med grund i Bernt Öströms rapport från 2008: Soldatförsörjning ? Redogörelse för modellerna i Danmark, Nederländerna och Spanien studeras de två nationerna Danmark och Nederländerna för att identifiera påverkande faktorer inom de bådas soldatförsörjningssystem. De två nationernas försvarsmakter, samt Sveriges, beskrivs övergripande med historisk bakgrund och nuläge angående soldatförsörjning.

Abstract The technology has made it possible for you as a train traveller to be available in other places than stations and on the train. You now have the possibility to communicate by the phone or through the Internet to get information about the train you want to take. Development in mobile technology gives us new possibilities to communication. We want to find out whatever SMS would be a suitable approach to inform passengers about delays. The problem formulation is ?If the technology is available to inform the passengers about delays in an more effective way than today, then why not use it? The ?Kustpilen? that operates in Blekinge and Skåne is the case for our study.

The purpose of this thesis is to describe and analyse the road towards a modern library in the southern archipelago of Gothenburg between the years 1943 and 1976. The archipelago consists of about thirty smaller and larger islands, of which seven are inhabited throughout the year. Styrsö and the surrounding islands composed a municipality of their own until 1973. In January 1974 it became a part of the municipality of Gothenburg, this is also the year when the only bridge in the archipelago was ready to be taken into use, between Donsö and Styrsö. There is no bridge between the mainland and the islands.

Research on Stone Age hunters and gatherers in Norrland has been lively since the 1960s. Central to this research are questions about the organization of society, sedentariness, continuity and resource management. One central part of life in the taiga is the need for fire and fuel. This aspect has been little discussed in conjunction with the mentioned research questions. My goal is to show that the matter of fire and fuel is an important one that needs to be taken in to consideration when discussing Stone Age Norrland and hunter/gatherers.

Undersökningen behandlarimplementeringsprocessen av IT i undervisningen. Syftet är att undersöka möjligheterna och förutsättningarna för lärarna vid implementering av ITi undervisningen. För att kunna svara påfrågeställningarna riktades undersökningen till lärarna på en skola ur ettbekvämlighetsurval. Metodvalet är baserat på undersökningens kvalitativakaraktär och genomförs av intervjuer och observationer. Resultatet iintervjuerna formas av fyra informanter och observationerna utav två avinformanter.

The view on which kind of fiction that should be mediated to the public through the Swedish public library system has since the late 60´s been dominated by what in this Master?s thesis is called: ´the discourse on quality of literary fiction´. The aim of this thesis is to examine to which extent this discourse still plays an active role in the Swedish public library system or if that discourse has been replaced by a more market-led, demand responsive view, where the features of ´quality´ and ´culture´ have been downplayed and replaced by a ´customer?s service view´ on how and why fiction should be mediated to the public. The methodological and theoretical perspective in this thesis is led by the understanding of the discourse analysis in Michel Foucault?s ´The Archaeology of Knowledge´.

LKAB arbetar med att komplettera de befintliga underjordsfyndigheterna i Kiruna och Malmberget med flera mindre dagbrottsfyndigheter. Detta arbete består av en lång kedja av aktiviteter från prospektering till att slutligen integrera de nya materialen i produktionsflödet. En viktig del i denna kedja är att undersöka och bedöma materialens mineraltekniska och metallurgiska egenskaper samt vilken effekt materialen har på process och produkt. Detta arbete kan bedrivas i olika skalor från mikrostudier via laboratorie- och pilotskala till försök i verk. Normalt är att det initialt finns mycket små mängder av ett visst material, kanske endast några enstaka kilogram från borrkärnor, som finns tillgängliga för analys.

The first aim of this study is to examine what the differences are between the Classic directive (directive 2004/18/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 March 2004 on the coordination of procedures for the award of public works contracts, public supply contracts and public service contracts) and the Revised Classic directive (directive 2014/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the council of 26 February 2014 on public procurement and repealing Directive 2004/18/EC) when it comes to social considerations in public procurement. The second aim is to examine if the revision of the directive has solved the prior existing problems regarding social considerations in public procurement. In this paper a traditional European legal method is used. The examinations show a number of things, including the Revised Classic directive involving codification of case law, references to other sources of law and some clarified rules as well as new provisions. The regulations regarding reserved contracts, technical specifications, and selection criterion are satisfied in the Revised Classic directive.
