This essay examines how four archaeology scholars reason about gender. I have used a qualitative method in making this study of their dissertations.  The aim is to obtain a deeper understanding of gender identity in prehistory, gaining a broader appreciation of how this might be expressed through archaeological material. This essay takes its theoretical departure from postprocessual thinking, where gender perspectives, including feminist and queer theories are in focus. The result of this study shows that the scholars have a postprocessual, structuralistic theoretical perspective in common, and that they use stereotypical identity-descriptions.

This study discusses the relationship between studies and part-time work. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of why students enrolled in the programme of human resource management and working life choose to undertake part time work, specifically in the human resource business in such great extent while studying full time and what this means for the students regard gaining knowledge. It focuses on the students experience and in order to gain the understanding of this phenomenon three qestion formulations were formed; ?What are the reasons formed by the interviewed human resource-students for having part-time work in the human resource bransch, in addition to their full-time studies??, "What values are made visible regarding the students choices of having a part-time work in addition to their full-time studies?" and ?How does the students express the thought about their part-time work as a key to learn from their studies?? The empirical data were collected through interviews with eight branch-specific human resource-students. The data was analysed based on previous research and a theoretical framework consisting of Lave & Wenger's theory of communities of practice and John Deweys theory of learning by doing.

The purpose of this composition was to examine which international and Swedish laws exist to govern the protection of asylum seekers claiming persecution on the grounds of sexual orientation. Additionally I wanted to look at what the need for such a right to refuge would be based upon, i.e. why asylum seekers ought to be granted such protection. In order to fulfil my objectives I based my material on international and Swedish laws, comparing these to studies of what negative impact growing up and living as homosexual in an oppressed environment can have on the individual, psychologically and socially. To highlight and exemplify my material I used Iran as a case-study to reflect my facts upon.I found that there has been, and still seems to be a lack of interest in and commitment to the persecution of homosexuals around the world.

My essay explores the public view on smoking in Sweden over the last few decades. I've studied how changes in social structures through media, laws, studies and education has brought about a change in the opinions about smoking. I found that even though there have always been different opinions on smoking it seems to have become less accepted in the Swedish society, particularly in the past twenty years. I discuss the different reason as to why (and how) the view on smoking might have changed the last decades amongst the Swedish people. To be able to do this I have done interviews on which I have applied narrative analysis..

Background: More than half of the elderly (65-84 years) in Sweden have problems with hearing. In some studiesit?s discussed if age related hearing loss or presbyacusis is a part of natural aging or if it depends on underlyingfactors.The purpose of this literature study was to analyse scientific papers which illustrate correlations between lessknown underlying factors and presbyacusis, defined from psychoacoustic and/or neurofysiological tests.Material and method; Literature study where scientific papers, relevant to the purpose of the study and thequestions at issue were found in the database PubMed.The result shows that cardiovascular disease, hormones, diet and drugs have an influence on presbyacusis. Thehealth condition of the individual and their lifestyle matters, likewise estrogen which according to the results of 2studies has a protective effect on hearing.Conclusion; The studies show that heart attack and high systolic blood pressure in women have a correlation topresbyacusis, but not in men, - the hormone estrogen, - some vitamins, antioxidants and diet have a protectiveeffect on hearing and studies show that smoking and alcohol have negative effects..

Tidigare forskning visar på att en prisvolatilitet existerar på marknaden för återvunnet material och att den många gånger är högre än volatiliteten för dess motsvarande jungfruliga material. Prisvolatilitet på marknaden för återvunnet material verkar vara en av orsakerna till osäkerhet på marknaden vilket i sin tur hämmar investeringar i marknaden, vilket leder till att färre substituerar jungfrulig råvara mot återvunnen råvara. Volatiliteten på återvunnet material kan ses från två olika perspektiv, ett där volatilitet är en orsak av effektiva marknader som styrs av utbud och efterfrågan och ett där volatilitet är en orsak av olika marknadsmisslyckanden. Syftet med denna studie är att mäta förändringen i volatiliteten för återvunnet material, utifrån ett antagande om att volatiliteten minskar över tiden då marknaderna för återvunnet material mognar och blir mer etablerade. Standardavvikelse används som mått för att mäta volatiliteten, där volatiliteten mäts för fem olika material, vilka har olika tidsperioder beroende på material.

With 25 countries being members of the European Union, travelling and working in other countries has become significantly easier. But what happens when one culture meets another one in a work situation? More specifically, what happens when French and Swedish cultures meet? Would a Swedish manager lead his team in the same way as a French one would?My question is: What is management philosophy like in Sweden and France? Do the two philosophies resemble? And if not, in what ways do they differ?The purpose of this essay is to find out, by looking at the material used at management courses, what the Swedish management philosophy really is. And then look at whether there are any similarities between this philosophy and the French one. This paper deals with evaluating 3D-bootstrap for the mining company New Boliden in an attempt to revise their current method of calculating average gold riches in different areas. The purpose is to find one-sided 3D-bootstrap confidence bound of the average gold riches. There lacks well-defined theory behind using 3D-bootstrap, in this paper the variogram is used as an estimate of dependencies between the observations, and the block length is chosen to be higher than this estimate. In aid of this, a simulated data material is conducted to check the validity of 3D-bootstrap in a controlled area where the theoretical value is known. The results are inconclusive, and further studies are needed..

We have done research and empirical studies. We have analyzed movies to get an idea how we use the sound design in Swedish drama productions today. Staden Sulaymaniyah ligger i den kurdiska delen av Irak och har på senare år utvecklats då många valt att flytta från landsbygden till den centrala delen av staden. Nybyggandet sker under tidspress och långsiktigt hållbara lösningar prioriteras inte. Målet är att ta fram ett hus som är anpassat för majoriteten av befolkningen och samtidigt få ett bra och energieffektivt inomhusklimat. En faktainsamling genomfördes för att ge bakgrundsinformation till projektet. Vidare gjordes en planlösning till huset i AutoCAD vilken har använts som grund till utformningen av huset och smarta lösningar.

Multiple factors are involved in control of beef sensory quality so great variation can be induced. The perception of meat quality can be affected anywhere in the product chain. Both the environment and the set of genes of the animals have an effect on the final output. A problem facing the beef industry today is the significant variations in meat quality between individual animals, which is reflected in the uneven quality of the meat that reaches the consumer. If the quality of meat in stores varies significantly over time, the consumers? trust may decrease.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka om och i så fall vilka laborativa material som används i samband med additionsalgoritmer med tiotalsövergång. Studien undersöker vidare de laborativa materialens betydelse för elevernas förståelse vid introduktionen av algoritmerna. För att ta reda på detta genomfördes observationer och intervjuer. Resultatet visade på att  laborativa material var vanligt förekommande. Det mest använda laborativa materialet hos de intervjuade lärarna var pengar.

Heart failure is a condition where the heart is incapable of providing adequate blood supply to different organs in the body. The underlying causes of heart failure is some kind of disorder in the heart function, and require careful diagnostics. The basic symptoms that arise from heart failure is difficulty in breathing, that aggravate when lying down, and fatigue. The patients? symptoms and impaired quality of life can be in different stages depending on the severity of the heart failure.
