-1949 [26][upps-01.gif] The aim of this master thesis is to investigate how W.E.A. Workers Educational Association, took part in the great changes of society and in the modernizing process in the period of 1920-1949. The examination is based upon three journals of educational material that were connected with W.E.A. The question at issue is to show how the people behind W.E.A. aimed to educate and indeed educated the workers to modern people and moreso to see how the articles in fact were written and to analyse in what way they turn to the workers and get their attention.

This work is about presenting the weave in a new and different context, by bringing textile and glass together. The work is characterized by material and shape experiments with silver and copper weave and hand blown glass. From experiments and sketches, the work has resulted in four sculptures, symbolizing four selected stages in a lifecycle; the birth, the development, the maturity and the death. One important part of the work has been to combine different materials and techniques.Studies of literature, sketching, handweaving and integration of silver and copper weave in the glass have been important methods in the working process. Inspired by the flower, the human being and the universe, a story about the life cycle has taken shape.The paper describes the working process with choices and analyses.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa undersökning är att jag vill beskriva och analysera homosexuellas komma-ut-processer. Datainsamlingsmetoden som använts är intervjucitat med kvinnor från den skrivna litteraturen, Lesbisk identitet, Dubbelliv och Komma ut, samt livsvärldsbaserade temaintervjuer med tre av mina vänner. I intervjuerna har jag utgått från dessa olika teman; upptäckt, resans gång och dagsläge. Jag har även med ett par citat från egna erfarenheter.Mina teorier jag har använt mig av är, Fuchs Ebaughs Exitprocess, Pennebakers begrepp Disclosure och Inhibtion, jag har även använt mig av interaktion, roll- och stigma inom socialpsykologi. Jag kommer att göra ett försök till att beskriva och analysera dessa områden inom mitt ämne; komma-ut-process i sin helhet, Vad är det som påverkar kvinnornas agerande i en komma-ut-process och hur personer i det sociala nätverket involveras i en komma-ut-process.

This report is the result of a thesis at the company Sanmina in O?rnsko?ldsvik. The thesis is the final work at the mechanical engineering program at Umea? The project was based on a request to improve an already existing program and hardware at the electrical engineering department at the royal institute of technology. For maximum ease of use, tests have been done on students to properly design the program for what it is meant to be used for. These tests have been transcribed and analysed, then brought back to the group in a discussion and then transcribed and analysed again, I call this process the ?four step process? (this process is presented and explained in chapter 6.4.). A part of this master thesis was also to analyse the four step process to enhance validity of this research.The project resulted in a new program with a new graphical view and features to help students and researchers to work with the technical tool for electromagnetic readings of planar objects.

The essay discusses a process of change at probationservice office. The purpose of the change was to decrease specialisation and increase flexibility of the probation officers. Our goal with this work is to come up with a design basis for a strip feeder.Functionally a strip feeder consists of two rollers which with the aid of the friction between the strip and the coating on the roller create a strip force that pulls the strip through the working progress.Demands on this project:? 10 ? 600 mm in strip width and 0,1-1 mm in strip thickness.? Minimum 30m/min in production speed.? A maximum strip force on 30-40 kN.? The cost of the strip feeder?s components is to be considered of economy and quality.The need of a strip feeder occurs when the coil doesn?t manage to feed or pull the strip before or after a working process. The strip can otherwise be exposed by a permanent yield deformation or a change in the strip material if it?s pulled trough the working process only by the on ? and of-coils.

Previously when I have made proposals for privately owned gardens, I have found it difficult to find strong, extensive designs and to work with room and space. Since this is the field within which I am going to work in the future I feel that I need more experience, reference material and ideas on how I, in an early stage of the working process, can work with and consider room and space. The aim of this project has therefore been to procure experience, reference material and ideas for design of a garden in relation to space. To procure experience and reference material I have, during the fall of 2008, made two incredible study tours to France and to Japan. I have interviewed the landscaping architect Maria Arborgh and studied literature. I have also used a garden outside of Gothenburg in which I have been able to try out different thoughts and ideas regarding shape that have appeared during the course of my work. My conclusions about landscaping are that you should first find the different functions in the garden. The next step is to find an overall theme or shape, use a small number of materials, build a room with sealing, walls and portals with the help of vertical elements e.g.

Denna studie grundar sig i vårt intresse för estetiska uttrycksformer i förskolan. Syftet var att se hur förskollärare arbetar med och påverkar barns fria bildskapande på fyra olika förskolor. En kvalitativ studie genomfördes och material samlades in i form av filmsekvenser som transkriberades, kategoriserades och analyserades. I studien undersöktes frågor om hur förskollärarens fokus på lärande, barnsyn och respons på barnets bilder påverkar dess fria bildskapande i förskolan. I studien undersöktes även vilka uttryck barnet har kopplat till om barnet har process- eller produktfokus.Resultatet visar att det finns ett samband mellan förskollärarens barnsyn och dennes process- eller produktfokus i barns bildskapande aktiviteter.

This thesis is about developing a design that provides improved vacuum seal between a lead coating and a plastic coating during plastic extrusion processes of cables. This report is a part of the course MSGC 17 for Bachelor Engineers in mechanical engineering.The work is performed at Nexans Norway AS in Halden where they have a production of high voltage cables for sea-, and offshore industry. A problem they face is that they do not get enough good seal at the attachment to the plastic extrusion machine. They want to achieve a vacuum between a lead coating on the cable and a plastic coating of the cable for plastic extrusion, which is something they do not achieve today. The thesis is thus to come up with a design that provides better sealing against the cable.The work involves a construction part with the phases of product development processes.

Syftet med vår undersökning var att ta reda på hur läraren och eleverna ser på användandet av laborativt material i förskoleklassens matematikundervisning. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av observationer och intervjuer av tre lärare och nio elever i samma kommun. Resultatet visar att lärarna och eleverna ser olika på användandet av laborativt material. Lärarna förhåller sig positiva till användandet och menar att de alltid har stöd av laborativt material i undervisningen. Eleverna däremot visar en osäkerhet kring syftet med användandet av materialen och har svårt att se det matematiska innehållet..

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka vad tre klasslärare för årskurs 1-3 anser om laborativt material i matematikundervisningen och hur de själva arbetar med detta i sin egen matematikundervisning. Detta undersöktes med hjälp av en kvalitativ studie med intervjuer och observationer. Observationerna användes för att se om det som lärarna ansåg om laborativt material speglades i deras undervisning. Med intervjuerna kunde vi ta reda på vad lärarna ansåg att det kan finnas för möjligheter och hinder med användandet av laborativt material i matematikundervisningen. Resultatet visar att lärarna överlag är positiva till användandet av laborativt material.
