Sandvik Wire needed a review of the administrative part of the order fulfillment process and especially the work around packing and the inventory of finished goods. Therefore we acquired the assignment to investigate the administrative part of the order fulfillment process in the company with the purpose to identify potential for improvement. This investigation was performed with focus on the terminal and packing functions. The purpose with the investigation was also to identify critical factors for an efficient order fulfillment process and investigate if information quality is such a factor.Data was collected through interviews and observations on Sandvik Wire. With the help of this data the information and material flows was mapped, the work within terminal and packing, and adjacent functions was investigated.

Vi har valt att studera en grupp socialarbetares etiska ställningstaganden i deras yrkespraktik. Syftet med studien var att skapa fördjupad förståelse av hur en etisk kultur uppstår och vidmakthålls i en arbetsgrupp. För att uppnå detta syfte skulle vår frågeställning ge svar på hur en arbetsgrupp beskriver vilka svårigheter som kan uppstå under deras yrkesutövning och vad som kan leda till att etiska kulturer uppstår och vidmakthålls. Vårt metodval var kvalitativt. För att inhämta empirisk data använde vi oss av teknikerna förstudie och intervjugide.

This BSc thesis is a part of an initial step of a collaboration between Skansen and Kenyan Wildlife Service (KWS) and constitutes of an inventory of the Nairobi Animal Orphanage run by KWS. Animal Orphanage takes care of orphaned and injured animals arriving from throughout Kenya. The project started out as a refuge and as a temporary place for animals in need of care and help. With time it has evolved to an establishment that resembles and functions more like an animal zoo. The aim of this inventory is to focus on how the biological needs of Congo grey parrots ( Psittacus erithacus erithacus) and cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus) are met, in terms of management and housing.

The purpose of this Masters thesis is to investigate the role of link collections in Swedish public libraries mediation of Internet resources. The study is focusing on the effects on the contents and the structure in the link collections when the target group is immigrant users. This is done through literature studies completed with an examination of two link collections containing multi-cultural and multi-lingual material and qualitative interviews with the two librarians who are in charge of the collections. The major questions raised in this study are: What function do the link collections have for the public libraries? What is the difference in working with traditional, printed material compared to the work with Internet resources? And how are the selection of Internet resources and the structure of the link collections affected when the collection is intended for immigrant users? The main results are that link collections in public libraries can give a concrete form to political guidelines.

The last decade has created an increasing pressure on companies to decrease their impact on the environment and to increase their effectiveness of recycling the company?s resources, especially for the steel industry. Companies have also started to realize the economic aspects of an effective internal reverse logistics. In the past the value of an effective internal reverse logistic was something that companies tend to underestimate and there are few academic studies done in this area. The purpose of this essay has been to identify key factors to create an effective in plant storage, transport, sorting and handling of returned steel. From these factors a generalized model for creating an effective return steel flow will be developed.

Alla fotografier har en avsändare och en mottagare. Fotografiet hjälper till att forma vår bild av verkligheten, men det är inte en obeskuren verklighet vi betraktar.Henri Cartier-Bresson är nära sammankopplad med gatufotografin, som i sin tur är nära sammankopplad med den romantiserade bilden av det fria och direkta livet, ocensurerat och äkta. Jag undersöker om det går att skönja fotografens handling i bilden, och jag ifrågasätter tron på gatans svartvita realism.

The subject for this thesis is to analyze the Swedish political the Sweden Democrats (Sverigedemokraterna) through the use of history theories. The purpose is to examine the following two questions:1. what types of history consciousness is present in the source material2. the use of history (historiebruk) shown in the source materialThe source material has consisted two official party publications, Sverigedemokraternas principprogram from 2005 and 2011.The main theoretical frameworks for the analysis has consisted of the typology for use of history as presented by professor Klas-Göran Karlsson together with selected theories connected to history consciousness, not the least the model presented by Bernard Eric Jensen.The result of the analysis shows frequent examples where the use of history and history consciousness is present in the rhetoric used in the source material. By tracing the use back to the theories selected Sverigedemokraterna?s deployment of use of history and history consciousness is interpreted and discussed..

Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på hur arbetslösa ungdomar som befinner sig i ett åtgärdsprogram upplever hur skolan och åtgärdsprogrammen har bidragit med verktyg, information och förberedelser inför ett framtida arbetsliv. Vi har utgått från två forskningsfrågor: Vad upplever dessa ungdomar att de har fått med sig från skolan i form av arbetslivskunskap? Hur upplever dessa ungdomar att åtgärdsprogrammen bidrar till att öka deras kunskaper och möjligheter till ett framtida arbetsliv? Den empiriska studien är kvalitativ och består av sammanlagt fem intervjuer. Dessa intervjuer gjordes med fem arbetslösa ungdomar 20- 24 år som i nuläget befinner sig i två olika arbetsmarknadspolitiska åtgärdsprogram. Resultat visar att våra informanter upplever att skolan har brustit i att informera och förbereda dem inför ett kommande arbetsliv.

Arbetet har handlat om att få in mer naturliga materialmed ?premium? känsla i deras produkter, annat än plast och rostfritt stål.Materialundersökningen har inkluderat: glas, trä, keramik och dekorativa tillämpningarför metall och plast. Hur en användare upplever ett material har också undersökts.Information har samlats in i två undersökningar; en om trender, marknad ochkonkurrenter samt en om material, leverantörer, tillverknings- och ytbehandlingsmetoder.Tre subjektiva test har gjorts på taktilitet för att få reda på hur vissa material upplevs avanvändare. Testerna utfördes med hjälp av materialprover, frågeformulär ochtestpersoner.Ett objektivt test på friktion utfördes också där friktionskoefficienten mellan ett materialsyta och fingertopparna räknades ut.

Uppsala- och Stockholmsregionerna använder Mälaren och dess tillflöden som dricksvattenkällor. I Mälaren varierar halten organiskt kol från år till år och kan medföra problem såsom oönskad lukt, smak och färg vid dricksvattenrening. Det kan även vara problem med avseende på bildning av desinfektionsbiprodukter (DPB) och transport av toxiska ämnen med dricksvattnet. I takt med den globala uppvärmningen kan dessutom halten av organiskt kol i Mälarens ytvatten och dess tillflöden öka. Det medför att halten av organiskt material även skulle öka i vattenverkens råvatten och det skulle i sin tur uppstå svårigheter att hålla dagens gränsvärden.

This master thesis deals with the differences in the design of the environmental scanning between different kinds of organisations, as well as the demands and regulations etc. in the respective environments that influence the environmental scanning. The content of the environmental scanning and the organisation of the function are outside the scope of this study. Two organisations that do not have an organised function but are scanning their environment were chosen for the investigation. A model for conducting the environmental scanning developed by Frankelius is used to analyse the practice of environmental scanning.

Människors ohälsa på den svenska arbetsmarknaden är något som under senaste tid flitigt debatterats i media. Denna uppsats vill undersöka hur intresset för hälsa inom en kommunal förvaltning ser ut. Studien tar sig an problematiken utifrån två aspekter, dels utifrån ett synsätt som utgår från ett politiskt och arbetsledningshåll, vad styr att de väljer att arbeta med friskvård för sina anställda. Dels utifrån ett synsät som lägger fokus på arbetstagarna, varför väljer dessa människor att delta respektive avstå från förvaltningens friskvårdsaktiviteter. Syftet med denna kvalitativa uppsats är att undersöka vilka sociala faktorer som påverkar politiker och arbetsledningens handlande i arbetet med friskvård för de anställda, samt att även undersöka vilka sociala faktorer som gör att de anställda deltar respektive avstår från förvaltningens friskvårdssatsning.

In this essay I examine how the norm-critical material ?BRYT! ett metodmaterial om normer i allmänhet och heteronormen i synnerhet? is used by Hyresgästföreningen in Stockholm in their education of personnel in the perspective of equalisation. I?ve mostly been interested in how the personnel who takes part in workshops about the material react and reflect in relation to the purpose of the material. How do they discuss about norms and the connection to discrimination and how do they look upon the power and responsibility that comes with power in relation to norms?  Earlier research in norm critical pedagogy and the critic of tolerans pedagogy perspective helps me to analyse how critical pedagogy stands above non-critical pedagogy in many perspectives.By observing workshops and by interviewing personnels taking part in these workshops I?ve examined how they react on both the practical and theoretical parts of the material.To summarise my examination I find the personnel who is educated in working with the material discover new experiences in knowledge and on how norms and discrimination functions.
