This bachelor thesis describes why investors should invest in environmentally certified buildings instead of non certified buildings. The report provides an overview of possible factors influencing an investor in the investment process of an environmentally certified building. The report explains why building companies find incentive to build green buildings and how a cash flow method can be adapted so it can be used in the valuation process of an environmentally certified building. Environmentally certified buildings are used as a strategy to reduce emissions that threaten the environment as well as a strategy to obtain market shares for the building companies. This report focuses on the economic advantages of an environmentally certified building.The construction- and real estate industry stands for approximately 40 percent of the energy consumption in the world.

Producing a building is a long and complex process. It consists of several parts, from the feasibility study and design stage onto the construction and finally the management of the building. The design process is a critical part of the process where construction plans are made. The quality of the plans affect the production phase in great extent and faulty plans can pose a risk for extra costs for all parts in the process. The cost of producing dwellings has increased the last years and the detail design process is one of many phases where improvements can mean cost savings within the whole building process.This report aims to point at parts within the detail design process which could be more efficient, regarding communication, follow-up and time planning, and to give suggestions for improvements.

Background: Businesses are traditionally valued with the so called Discounted Cash Flow-model. When valuing newly-started businesses, surrounded by high uncertainty, and whose capital mostly consists of unrealized business opportunities, the Discounted Cash Flow-model needs to be complemented if the total value of the business is to be captured. A valuation with the help of real options is capable of valuing these unrealized opportunities, which often exist in newly-started businesses. The unrealized opportunities are to be found in the business plan of the business, why this needs to be valued to capture the total value of a newly-started business. Purpose: To demonstrate what the use of real options can result in when valuing businesses.

That's why it has been chosen to study and observe five preschools and interview sex teachers, in an attempt to understand the teachers thought about the choice of material and the choices of material that the children used. The reason I do this is to see what the underlying idea about the materials the children use is, and why educators choose to make certain materials visible. Sammanfattning:Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna undersökning är att undersöka vilka material/ hjälpmedel som används för att hjälpa barnen med koncentrationssvårigheter i förskolorna och att undersöka vilka för- och nackdelar pedagogerna ser med materialet/ hjälpmedel.MetodFör att undersöka vilka material/verktyg som finns i verksamheterna gjordes en webbenkät.Webbenkäten korsanalyserades med en intervju som gjordes i en särskoleverksamhet.ResultatResultatet av enkäten visade att pedagogerna använde olika färdiga material samt egenutvecklat material. Det positiva som framkom var att alla barn oavsett behov gynnades av att arbeta med materialet. Det negativa var att pedagogerna ansåg att de hade för lite schemalagd tid att leta efter passande material.Betydelse för läraryrketMin förhoppning är att denna undersökning ska hjälpa pedagoger i förskoleverksamheter med att lättare kunna söka passande material till barngrupperna. Vi har genom intervjuer och klassrumsobservationer undersökt hur tre pedagoger i grundskolans tidigare år använder elevernas erfarenheter från sin vardag i matematikundervisningen, varför pedagogerna undervisar som de gör samt vad de använder för material i sin undervisning..

Forest enterprises have always searched for ways to improve efficiency. For the past few years there has been an emphasis on stock-keeping levels. Increased demand for fresh round timber and the need to decrease the amount of tied-up capital has made the forest industry reduce its inventory levels. This has brought on a higher demand on the timber supply from the forest management districts concerning both delivery in time and assortment output. As a result, the flow of timber has fluctuated a lot with serious consequence for the timber supply during 1994.

Syftet med vår undersökning är att ta reda på hur och om barn och pedagoger använder tredimensionella material på två förskolor. Vårt intresse för skapande material uppstod då vi gick sidoämneskursen Det tredimensionella konstruerade arbetet inom slöjd/hantverk, då vi själv fick arbeta och bekanta oss med tredimensionella material. Genom våra diskussioner inom ämnet blev vi intresserade av att ta reda på om dessa material fanns ute på förskolorna. För att ta reda på detta gjorde vi en undersökning med kvalitativa observationer och intervjuer med åtta barn och fyra pedagoger. Vi stödjer oss främst på Granbergs, Tragetons och Vygotskijs teorier och forskning om skapande verksamhet. Vår slutsats är att tredimensionella material finns ute på förskolorna, men att de sällan används.

This examination work aims to describe how a supply chain around the biggest pellets factory in Sweden will be configured in a logistic perspective. The plant and associated infrastructure are in the building phase and will have production start on the 2 November 2009. The key question that is set in this examination work is to recognize the logistic processes which are essential for an effective flow of materials and information that link the source of supply with the ultimate customer. In order to get the answer, a flowcharting of these supply chain processes is required for understanding the pipeline activities such as input and storage of raw material, the production system and the output of pellets to the customers. The basis for this supply chain map is a model-based representation of these logistic processes and activities that are involved around the pellets factory.

By applying a segmentation procedure to two different sets of computed tomography scans, two geometrical models of the abdominal aorta, containing one inlet and two outlets have been constructed. One of these depicts a healthy blood vessel while the other displays one afflicted with a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. After inputting these geometries into the computational dynamics software FLUENT, six simulations of laminar, stationary flow of a fluid that was assumed to be Newtonian were performed. The mass flow rate across the model outlet boundaries was varied for the different simulations to produce a basis for a parameter analysis study. The segmentation data was also used as input data to a surface description procedure which produced not only the surface itself, but also the first and second directional derivatives in every one of its defining spatial data points.
