We have left the industrial society, and instead, we live in a post-industrial knowledge and information society. It is often said that industrial production has disappeared or that it has changed greatly. This means that fewer are employed in the manufacturing sector while the service sector is increasing, resulting in that the boundaries between production and administration decreases. The production goes from mass production to more flexible and specialized solutions. This puts greater demands on the logistics chain that continually need to work to meet customer requirements.

Many consider it difficult to reach a normal weight using only methods such as changing dietary- and exercise habits, this creating a market for products that facilitate weight loss and loss of body fat. The supplement of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is such a product. In animal studies, CLA has demonstrated a reduction in both body fat and weight.

The last decades have shown increased nitrogen leeching from soil to water recipients. This is inSweden mainly due to over-manuring of agriculture land, effectivization of drainage systems and thedeclining extent of wetlands. The accumulated amount of nitrogen in water doesn?t only make itunsuitable for use by humans and cattle, but also decreases the biological diversity as well as negativelyaffect tourism and fish industry. In the most severe cases shallow maritime grounds can be completelydepleted of oxygen due to decomposition of the increased amount algae and plankton growth.This study have the aim to describe and quantify the nitrogen leeching from the Genevad drainagebasin, located in southern Halland, Sweden.

Sweden currently has no legislated regulation of lobbying, but the professional lobbyist can voluntarily subscribe to, among others, the professional code of standars created by the trade association of Public Relations, Precis. There is an ongoing discussion in Sweden to regulate lobbying, both in mass media and in politics. This study examines this debate and focus on which arguments there are for and against lobbying regulation in Sweden. It also attempts to identify the differences, if there are any, between left and rights parties with regards to their views on regulation of lobbying.Tha main method used was document analysis of parliamentary bills which have been raised concerning a lobbying regulation in Sweden. In the theory section, I include four different types of requirements placed on democratic lobbying (se for example Jaatinen 1998, Kitchen 1999, Larsson 2005, Möller 2009 and Naurin 2001).

Not much is today known about how epiphytic lichens are effected by fire. A considerable part of the fires in Sweden today are prescribed fires for the purpose of environmental conservation. How these fires affect lichens is largely unknown. The aim of this study is to find out how epiphytic fruticose and foliose lichens on Scots pine are affected by fire, and to elucidate the relationship between fire intensity and the survival of lichens and later re-colonization. The study was performed at three locations just outside Umeå in Västerbotten that were burned 5-7 years earlier. In all locations there were larger groups of surviving Scots pines with varying amount of fire-damage in the crown, which enabled a reconstruction of fire intensity.

Vi har genomfört sex intervjuer, för att ha kunnat samla in våra empiriska data, med personer i ledande positioner på företag som arbetar eller är i kontakt med direktreklam. Tre av dessa har varit personliga intervjuer, två telefonintervjuer och en via e-post.SlutsatserVi har kommit fram till att direktreklam är en mycket stark och fortfarande mycket aktuell marknadsföringskanal.

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate how the OPACs Online Public Access Catalogue used by public libraries have adapted the features and possibilities offered by online catalogues, for the purpose of searching for fiction. This is done by comparing five OPACs to Amazon.com, an online bookstore. The questions investigated are: Have the OPACs developed from the principles of the card catalogue and adapted to the features and possibilities offered by online catalogues, when searching for fiction? Can the library catalogue provide the same features as Amazon.com, when searching for fiction? How do the OPACs use the resources that online catalogues provide when searching for fiction, compared with Amazon.com? The thesis is based on two qualitative studies. The first study presents five OPACs from different library systems and examines which features they have in common with Amazon.com.

Vetlanda Energi och Teknik AB (Vetab) är ett aktiebolag som ligger i Vetlanda. Vetab har konstaterat förluster i sitt fjärrvärmesystem som består av 18 pannor varav 6 bioeldade med en rökgaskondensor på 2 av de bioeldade. Enligt mass- och energibalanser för år 2009 så uppger Vetab en skillnad på 5000ton mer bränsle för uträknad massa med energibalans (som grundar sig på en ansatt verkningsgrad för pannorna på 85%) än den uppvägda levererade massan.Bränslet vägs upp på en krönt fordonsvåg på Stickan samt volymuppskattas vid leverans och fördelas sedan ut till de olika värmeverken. En del av inköpt bränsle vägs även upp enbart med hjullastare och volymbestäms i skopan. Volymen som uppskattas används sedan till att bestämma värmevärdet per kubikmeter samt till att beräkna en bulkdensitet för det levererade bränslet.

SARS [Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome] penetrated China in spring of 2003, created havoc in the social society, exposed weaknesses within the political system and pushed the nation towards a crisis of confidence. At the same time the crisis revitalised the Party's position, brought people from different social stratum together and had a beneficial impact on the populace's knowledge on health related issues.What makes the SARS crisis in China interesting for further and deeper investigation is the method it chose to respond to its national crisis. They plan of response was indeed a retrogression back to "older" times, using methods and propaganda very much like those used during Mao Zedong and later Deng Xiaoping. The first step of response was denial and cover up of the real situation, which quickly turned to unprecedented transparency, as the magnitude of SARS became known. The Party and the government were quick to proclaim themselves as the bearer of the key knowledge and information on how to best fight the disease, this in sharp contrast to the political trend of more co-operation between the private and public sector and political transparency.

På senare år har alltmer fokuserats på att goda resultat grundas på huruvida företag skapar långsiktiga och hållbara relationer, till såväl kunder, leverantörer som samarbetsparter. Begrepp som relationsmarknadsföring och Customer Relationship Management (CRM) är nära besläktade och oavsett om begreppen tillämpas på slutkonsumenten eller samarbetsparten handlar det om att vårda relationer. Idag har massmarknadsföring blivit mindre effektivt och lönsamt, eftersom alltfler marknader, däribland resemarknaden, är mogna, vilket innebär att det blir svårare att hitta nya kunder. Detta betyder att det kan bli avgörande att vårda befintliga samarbeten och utveckla dessa till relationer för att överleva konkurrensen. I detta kan en problematik uppstå, då det är lätt att säga vad ett gott samarbete innebär, men inte lika lätt att förklara hur en god relation, baserad på lojalitet två parter emellan, ska fungera på ett effektivt och hållbart sätt.

This degree project is based on my personal relation and engagement to the small-scaled cultural landscape. My viewpoint is the village Torpa in Östergötland. My observations of the changes and development together with the stories of the village people has lead me to the questioning about the future prospects of the small-scaled cultural landscape. The rationalization of the society and our urban culture has lead to big changes in the cultural landscape and the people have reduced to a small crowd. Fewer and fewer hands are managing the small-scaled cultural landscape and fewer and fewer young people have connection to this kind of landscape and its management.

This work is a GIS study of fishing rights distribution between different categories of ownersand properties in the Stockholm Archipelago. The purpose was to create basic data used toestablish fishing laws and restrictions within the Stockholm County.Stockholm?s archipelago consists of a unique environment and is the natural life andreproduction environment for ? of Sweden?s reproducing fish species. The increasingpressure from fishing, tourism and weekend population increases the need for an efficientfishing administration to prevent impoverishment and to ensure the biological diversity inSwedish fishing waters. There is an increasing need to review fishing administrationmethodologies, as well as studying the categories of ownership and properties located insensitive areas and areas influenced by physical disturbances in order to establish effectivelaws and restrictions.The Swedish fishing rights for an area are currently not connected to the ownership of theproperty to which it belongs.

Populärvetenskaplig sammanfattning: Planera dagsutflykten och upplev mer av Island. Island med sina aktiva vulkaner och stora glaciärer är ett populärt turistmål och antalet turister ökar år från år. Flertalet av de 350 000 utländska turister som årligen besöker Island anländer med flyg till huvudstaden Reykjavik. Från huvudstaden anordnas dagsutflykter genom en rad olika researrangörer. Man kan även planera en dagsutflykt själv, och köra med hyrbil.

The transformation within the swedish infrastructure has been a slow process from thebeginning of time. For almost a decade, the traditional form of contracting regardingbuildings and foremost infrastructure has evolved contracting involving the owner to definethe outcome of the product, regardless involvement from the supposed contractor. As forthe swedish market, the traditional design-bid-build (DBB) have been the primary choice ofcontracting. Although changes have been made over time regarding contracting formswithin the road administration, the railway sector has not improved or justified changesregarding choice of contracting, they have conducted same contracting relationshipsbetween them and the contractor.This bachelor thesis, conducted at the Swedish railway administration with supervision ofprofessor Kristian Widén at Lunds University, explores the forces behind the new era ofcontracting within the railway administration. This bachelor thesis focuses mainly oncontracting regarding design-build-operate-main (DBOM), the new contracting formulabetween the owner and the contractor.
