Today there are a big need for a system that delivers overview of all available units for different municipalities and shipping- and security companies due to the increasing requirements for efficiency. The purpose with this graduation thesis is to find out which systems that is suitable to use while developing cost-effective software for positioning and to produce a prototype for such solution.This assignment has been done at the request of PocketMobile Communications AB. PocketMobile is a company that are specialized on delivering modern mobile software solutions and systems to companies with their own vehicle fleet or mobile workers.This master thesis can be split into two separate parts, the theoretic- and the practical part.The theoretic part includes producing a number of functional requirements in cooperation with PocketMobile and comparing the available systems against the function requirements.The practical part deal with the development of a prototype that demonstrates the software recommended. The development tools that best matched the functionality requirements when the selection was made in May 2007 were Map24 and OpenLayers. The system that was selected to use while developing the prototype was Map24, because this product matches all of the requirements and it is also suited for professional usage regarding support, scalability and reliability.

Memories in Marketing: Nostalgia in advertising, communication effects, relationships and critical periods for establishing emotional bonds to collective events

Many perceive a boom in nostalgia and what is retro, especially within the marketing discipline. This thesis studies how nostalgia functions in the advertising context and aims to shed light on which effects there are from nostalgia evoking communication, what connections there are with other important factors as well as aspires to develop the understanding of the underlying psychological aspects and the emotional bonds to events (as nostalgia evoking stimuli in the thesis), which pave the ground for nostalgic emotions. Point of origin has been classical measures of communication effects and models of connections and causality and to these important factors have been added. Results show clear connections and correlations between nostalgia and positive communication effects, even with control for other factors that may interfere. However, the results show that some factors have moderating effects that should be important to take into consideration, namely how well the brand and the event in the ad are perceived to fit the advertising context.

Elevernas egenplanerade lektioner i hem- och konsumentkunskap. : Arbetsuppgift för delaktighet i planering av lektionerna.

The purpose of this developmental research was to test the new way of working when the students were to take part in planning of cooking during the lessons in home and consumer studies, because the aim of the school is to teach the students to take the responsibility for their studies. The two first lessons should be used by students in the group to plan and organize their meal. During the third lesson the students must be responsible for cooking ready their meal and afterwards they must evaluate the results. The results of this new way of working was new for the students and they thought it was fun to be responsible for cooking during these lessons in home economics. The students in the groups were of wixed ability and they developed their knowledge from the levels of their ability.

Syfte: Syftet med rapporten är att undersöka hur man skapar en varumärkesstrategi som fungerar från affärsidé ner till köpsituation. Vad görs idag för att uppnå en ideal upplevelse i butik och vad är gängse synsätt på hur kommunikationen ska utformas i denna kanal? Vidare är syftet att få en djupare förståelse för hur begreppen Emotional Branding, Experience Branding och Sensory Marketing bör sammankopplas och vad det kan tillföra ett varumärke inom retail. Hur kan åtråvärda upplevelser inom dagligvaruhandeln, en plattform som bör fungerar som en förlängd arm till varumärkets strategi, bidra till att bygga starka och känsloladdade relationer till sina kunder?Metodologi: Studien utgår från ett hermeneutiskt synsätt, bygger på en kvalitativt kvalitativ forskningsmetod och har en deduktiv ansats.

Every plan and program decided on by an authority or municipality, where the environmental impact can be considerable, must be environmentally assessed according to Environmental Code, the Planning and Building Act (PBA) and the Regulation on Environmental Impact Assessment.The purpose of this study is to examine the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for The Region Development Plan for the Stockholm Region, RUFS 2010. The plan was approved by at that time the Regional Planning Office (Regionplanekontoret), which procured the process by consultants. RUFS 2010 includes two merged plans ie. a regional Development Plan (RUP) and the Regional Spatial Plan for Stockholm. It was necessary to establish an environmental assessment of RUP, but not for the regional plan.

The meaning of being someone and standing for something is getting more important today in the Swedish business market. Our thesis has a qualitative approach that aims to study the usage of personal branding in the upper-management of Swedish organizations. Theories collected from literature and articles include marketing branding, personal branding and leadership. Our main target is to identify components that obtain usage of personal branding which are, attributes and strengths, communication, values, and vision and mission. The empirical data is gathered from six personal interviews with managers.

Bakgrund: Ohälsotalen ökar och bristen på fysisk aktivitet är en bidragande faktor. Näridrottsplatser byggs för att främja befolkningens hälsa. Flickor har dock en hög frånvaro på näridrottsplatserna. Det är ett problem för samhällsplanerarna som ej vet hur de ska bygga för att få flickorna mer fysiskt aktiva. Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka hur svenska små- och medelstora företag anpassar sig till de marknadsförhållanden som råder inom Afrikas Bottom-of-the- Pyramid. Studien har följt en kvalitativ forskningsmetod samt tillämpat fallstudie som forskningsstrategi. Detta för att erhålla en djup insyn i företagens agerande och hur de anpassat sig för att vara förmögna att företaga på en marknad vars förutsättningar inte är i närheten av idylliska.Studiens teoretiska utgångspunkt implicerar huvudsakligen Bottom-of-the-Pyramid konceptet, konkurrensstrategi, kooperativ strategi, nätverk, affa?rsrelationer samt de fyra A:na. Vidare redogörs fyra fallföretags upplevelser från BoP-marknaden i empirin; varför valde de denna marknad, vilka möjligheter ser de den besitter, vilka krav har den ställt på dem och hur har anpassningen till denna marknad gått till.I analysen förenas vår teoretiska referensram med det insamlade empiriska data där de ställs gentemot varandra i en diskussion kring i vilken utsträckning teorin stämmer överrens med empirin.

This essay is about the market of traditional rental movie stores, which today are on a mature stage of the marketing cycle. The technique is constantly accelerating and contributes to evaluation of new ways to watch movie. New competitors are such as bigger chain of stores that can offer, in addition to their wide range of other goods, rental movies as a secondary selling. The substitute is of most part Internet based services from where you can watch movie online or download film legally as well as illegally.These different sorts of new competitors or substitutes become a big threat on the traditional rental movie stores as these substitutes can offer the same prices or even lower.With these new ways of watching film this will on turn change the behaviours of the customers that likes to watch movies. The problem for the traditional rental movie stores is trying to keep their existing customers and try keeping them loyal to their store, so that they won?t loose them to the competitors and substitutes.

Tillgänglighet i planeringsprocessen - från vision till verklighet

Arbetet har som syfte att undersöka hur kommuners arbete med fysisk tillgänglighet finns med från visioner i översiktsplanen till detaljplanens utformning. Arbetet har sin utgångspunkt i två dokument, Boverkets granskning av tillgänglighet i översiktsplaner och årets rapport från Humana där landets kommuner undersökts i sitt arbete med tillgänglighet utifrån ett mer praktiskt perspektiv. De två kommunerna som ingår i detta arbete är Trelleborgs och Osbys kommun. Trelleborg är en av de tre kommuner som Boverket lyfter fram som föredöme i sin granskning och Osby är för andra året i rad på första placering i Humanas rankning av kommunerna. Det intressanta är att Boverkets och Humanas undersökningar befinner sig på två nivåer i planeringsprocessen, Boverket på den översiktliga och Humanas på den detaljerade, och om de två kommunernas dokument visar sig stämma med denna indikation eller ej.

Den fysiska närmiljön är viktig för alla människor men särskilt viktig för barns utveckling. Barn utgör ungefär 20 % av vår befolkning och är en heterogen grupp med olika behov och förutsättningar. Barn har bland annat enligt FN:s barnkonvention och Plan- och bygglagen rätt att delta i den fysiska planeringen. Historiskt har barns medverkan och utrymme i den fysiska planeringen varit begränsad. Först på 1960-talet fick barndomen ett egenvärde, som stärktes ytterligare när FN:s barnkonvention antogs år 1990.

Sales is the foundation for all commercial business and companies that have the best sales process in conjunction with efficient deliveries will do well in the long run. The author of this report was tasked by the Organisation in South Africa to study new/alternative ways of attracting Swedish companies to South Africa and sell the services of the Organisation to these same companies (defined as the sales process in this report) by analysing how similar international service companies do the same. A benchmarking process has been conducted with four similar service organizations in South Africa to examine how these companies work in comparison to the Organization. Surveys have been used for purposes of this study, as the methodology is well suited to provide the author a view on the opinions, perceptions and experiences of the respondents.The project aimed to develop new methods to attract Swedish companies to South Africa or improve and streamline the existing methods. The aim was also to develop new ways to sell the organization's services to Swedish companies.The study concludes that there is little focus on marketing of services within the Organisation.

Matematik - En studie om hur sex lärare i årskurs 1- 3 resonerar kring olika val av arbetsmetoder i matematik

The aim of my study is to examine how six teachers discuss their choices of work methods in teaching mathematics, as well as the methods they are currently using and what they have based their choices on. This study also covers how these teachers approach educational planning and where they get inspiration for their teaching material, and finally the advantages and disadvantages of each method according to the teachers. To be able to fulfill my purpose of this study some questions had to be considered: How do these teachers approach the planning of studies of mathematics and where do they find ideas for their lesson planning? Which methods do these teachers use in the teaching of mathematics and what are the reasons behind their choices of methods? Which advantages and disadvantages do these teachers see in the methods they use during the teaching of mathematics? This is a qualitative study, mainly based on qualitative research interviews according to an interview guide. Six teachers, from five different elementary schools, grade 1- 3, have been interviewed for this study.
