There are mainly two ways to transform the design of an existing park. You could either make a replanning of the park, an act that changes the design and the plant material in one swoop. Or you could use the management to change the expression of the park. To be able to develop the parks with the help of management, some form of goal is needed, that can make the management of the park strive towards an expression for the whole park as well as its individual parts. Among the documented goals, for individual parks and park management, which exist in the municipalities today, there seems to be a weak link between the all-embracing goals and the management that is carried out in the parks.

The Psychology Driving and Barriers to Skunk Work Projects (referred to throughout this thesis as the paper) represents a study predominantly on Tetra Pak from a selective perspective, the innovators. Innovators both past&present whose initiatives contribute to the well being of Tetra Pak as well as one from Ericsson were consulted. As with individuals, organizations possess definable characters that are influenced by the various stages of their life cycle. Theories of corporate life cycle phases and organizational character analysis were therefore employed to identify and explain organizational barriers to skunk work leaders&managers. Predicated on the Organizational Character Index survey developed by William Bridges PhD (himself a recognized leader in the field of transition management) and administered to sixty-one managers within a Tetra Pak business unit established the benchmark.

?Development of Norway spruce, Douglas fir beech and Scots pine with a larch shelter wood? is a report written by Per-Olof Magnusson. The thesis is a compulsory part of forest engineer program at ?Skogsmästarskolan?, SLU, Skinnskatteberg, Sweden. The purpose of this report is to describe and evaluate an experiment with hybrid larch (Larix x eurolepis) as shelter wood, and different tree species growth and survival depending on the density of the shelter wood. The experiment is conducted by southern Swedish forest research centre, faculty of forestry, SLU in Alnarp. The hybrid larch ought to be an interesting alternative to birch (Betula sp.) as shelterwood on suitable sites in southern Sweden.

The activities of beavers in forested landscapes affect both ecological and economical values. The creation of the dynamic wetland mosaic associated to beaver activities can even improve the quality of water and have been documented as an important landscape engineer affecting the environment for many species. The local office of Sveaskog in Skinnskatteberg is responsible for the management of large areas of the forests in the County of Västmanland. In this area one of several company?s goals are to create ten new wetlands in their own forests as a part of cooperation with the Swedish bird society and Swedish wetland association.

In early January 2010 the authors participated in a meeting with the chief engineer for a company in which a central part is manufacturing of printed circuit boards (PCB). At this meeting it emerged that the machinery and production methods have changed substantially since the early 1990's. The spreadsheet for preliminary production time calculations by the company is today based on conditions from almost 20 years ago. The company has over the years been trying to adjust the spreadsheet template. The result of these adjustments has filled it with historical residue, something which makes the template difficult and time consuming when the primary user tries to handle it.The purpose of this study was to help the company increase its accuracy in the representation of the production times for the different PCB-based products by developing a new costing model based on an already existing but inadequate spreadsheet template. The company also expressed the wish that the new costing model would be less time consuming to work with.The methods used to achieve the goal are interviewing, participatory observations and meetings with relevant persons. The data obtained were analyzed using the theory on PCB production and visualization of data.

Examensarbetet beskriver en undersökning och utveckling av ett maskinverktyg till rulländslipmaskinen RFE25 vid Svenska Kullagerfabrikens (SKF) rullproduktionskanal LR4 i Göteborgsfabrikerna. Under hela projektet gavs handledning från SKF och den Göteborgsbaserade konsultfirman Semcon Caran. Projektet genomfördes av en civilingenjörsstudent från Luleå Tekniska Universitet, Mattias Granlund, under hösten 2007 efter en förundersökningsperiod under vår och sommar 2007. Studenten använde större delar av produktutvecklingsmetoden Systematisk Problembehandling för att ge projektet en tydlig och genomarbetad struktur. RFE25 slipar änden på rullar som används i SKF:s medelstora rullager.

Vattenfiltren ALF R20 ? R60 från Alfa Laval AB i Lund används för att filtrera kylvatten till Alfa Lavals plattvärmeväxlare. Ytterhöljet av dessa filter är gummerade som skydd mot korrosion, då havsvatten är mycket aggressivt. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att, genom produktutveckling effektivisera tillverkningen, få kortare ledtider och därmed få bättre lönsamhet. Genom att hitta alternativ till gummi-liningen hoppas Alfa Lavals underleverantör Liedholm Ramek AB i Helsingborg att spara tid i tillverkningsprocessen och genom att byta ut en fläns på själva konstruktionen hoppas man att korta produktionstiden. Via intervjuer med branschfolk i plast och gummibranschen hittades och utvärderades ett flertal alternativa material till gummeringen.

Today we see a fast developing of the market for mobile communication, both in an increased and changed mobile use, but also in the development of new technologies and services. Much that can be performed on Internet/Intranet today with a PC will in some years also be possible to do with a mobile terminal. Mobile Internet will probable take place when new technologies as GPRS, EDGE and UMTS will be in use. These technologies in combination with the development of new terminals and services will bring new capabilities for both companies and private users. Utvecklingen av BIM har senaste åren tagit fart och många länder, inklusive Sverige har bland annat påbörjat en process mot gemensam struktur inom byggsektorn genom att standardisera informationshantering och processer (Nilsson, 2013). Denna utveckling innebär nya möjligheter för aktörerna i byggprocessen men också problematik då denna intensiva IT-utveckling möter en till synes konservativ bransch (Statskontoret, 2009:6). Syftet med föreliggande examensarbete är att utforma en moderniserad arbetsmetod för konstruktören som integrerar dennes BIM-verktyg i projekteringsprocessen. En förståelse för hur konstruktörens arbete ser ut idag skall utrönas, samt vilka möjligheter och svårigheter som denna aktör upplever.Det som framkom i studien var att trots den intensiva utvecklingen av BIM som varit de senaste åren tillämpas fortfarande traditionella processer, då förståelse för en mer omfattande inledande arbetsinsats ännu inte riktigt finns. Ökade krav ställs också på konstruktörens byggtekniska kompetens då det är svårare att ?fuska? i objektbaserade modeller.

The applied term aquaculture in this paper refers to the one used by NOAA (2008); breeding, rearing, and harvesting of plants and animals in all kind of water environments, including but not limited to ponds, rivers, lakes, and the ocean. Emerson Network Power Energy Systems är ett globalt företag som skapar system för avbrottsfri strömförsörjning för tele- och IT-kommunikation. Till följd av uppköp av företag har Emerson utveckling i flera länder. De olika länderna använder dessutom olika CADsystem. Detta är ett hinder för samarbetet mellan utvecklingsavdelningarna. Den svenska avdelningen av företaget har lagt mycket tid på att utveckla ett PDM-system och anpassa det till det CAD-system som används i Sverige (NX).
