En skånsk kvartsboplats, var det en unik händelse?Hösten 1995 gjordes ett sensationellt fynd i nordvästra Skåne. Den första stenåldersboplatsen som kvartsen dominerade, både till antalet och till vikt, hittades vid Hjälmsjöns strand.Uppsatsen kommer att behandla denna plats. Jag kommer att göra en beskrivning av fördelarna och nackdelarna med kvarts respektive flinta. En uppställning på stereotypa bosättningar i Skåne och Småland kommer jag också att göra, detta för att kunna se vilka influenser som är starkast på den här platsen..

I det här projektet analyseras huset Röken, uppe på det Småländska höglandet, en plats med mycket historia. Från 1600-talet då en bräcklig fred gör att huset byggs till då huset moderniseras under mitten av 1900-talet och blir inrett med många möbler från Ab Svenska möbelfabrikerna, som bara låg några kilometer från platsen. Detta leder fram till en undersökning av familjen som äger huset och till Jan Strand, min far, idag den enda permanent boende där. Projektet har mynnat ut i möbeln ?Beach? avsedd att användas då Jan i ensamhet njuter av jazzmusik uppe i sin sons rum..

Den moderna resebranschen anammade relativt tidigt en högförädlingsstrategi där målet var att tillgodose den mångfald av olika slags resbehov som konsumenter uppvisade. Detta gjordes genom att erbjuda differentierade resor som betraktades som upplevelser snarare än standardiserade reserbjudanden.Samtidigt som det erbjöds sofistikerade restjänster, inriktade sig många aktörer istället på att attrahera kunder genom att erbjuda billigare standardiserade resor som förknippades med en trygghet för oerfarna resenärer. Det så kallade charterresandet var en stark bidragande faktor till resebranschens tillväxt i Sverige sedan 1960-talet, och flera av de researrangörer som valde att basera sitt utbud på denna typ av resor lyckades erövra en stor del av marknaden.De förändringar som den teknologiska utvecklingen sedan 2000-talets början har inneburit för resebranschen, har gjort att de etablerade researrangörerna inte längre har samma möjligheter att påverka potentiella kunder. Andelen återkommande kunder är därför låg hos dessa aktörer. Uppsatsen avser därför att besvara frågeställningen: Vilka faktorer är viktiga för de etablerade researrangörernas långsiktiga överlevnad på en mogen marknad?Den nämnda problemformuleringen besvaras genom att analysera och utvärdera sambandet mellan företagens marknadsstrategi och konsumenternas val av researrangör.

Syftet med arbetet var att få inblick i hur pedagoger i förskolan diskuterar med varandra i ämnet barn och sexualitet. Ambitionen var att få veta vad pedagoger tänker om barns sexualitet och vilken syn de har på förskolans ansvar och delaktighet kring barns könsrollsskapande. För att besvara mina frågeställningar användes fokusgrupper och enkäter som undersökningsmetoder. Mitt resultat visar att det finns ett behov och en viss vilja att prata kring ämnet men att det inte direkt görs i nuläget. Det ansågs även viktigt att föra en dialog med föräldrar i frågor som rör kön, könsroller och barns sexualitet. Detta stämmer även väl in med riktlinjer från Läroplanen för förskolan (Skolverket, 2010) om att samarbeta med hemmet för barnets bästa. I frågan om ifall det finns några direkta direktiv om barn och sexualitet i något styrdokument, drogs slutsatsen att det kan tolkas in under ord som respekt och privatliv.

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to investigate which rolesthe mobile library has to its users in a small community in Sweden.To reach this purpose I have focused on the following two researchquestions:? Which are the different functions, social, cultural, educational orinformation-based, that the mobile library offers its users andwhich of these are used in reality?? What purposes are there for the mobile library and how it is usedby it?s visitors?To answer these questions I have interviewed four users of amobile library and I have held e-mail interviews with librarians incharge of a mobile library as well as the head of the department ofculture and peoples health in the community. As a base for myanalyse I have also used a pilot study which I performed earlier inthe spring of 2011.My theoretical framework is based on the model of the publiclibrary?s different roles made by Marianne Andersson and DorteSkot-Hansen.The result of this study show?s that a mobile library isn?t verydifferent from a permanently located public library. The fourdifferent functions all exist, wholly or partly, in the mobile library..

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine three library weblogs to evaluate how they are used and what type of information the libraries publish in these specific weblogs.The following three questions are the basis of this study:? What is the content of the weblogs?? How is the weblog used as a tool by the libraries?? How is the interaction between the library and the readers of the weblogs presented regarding the comment function?The method that has been used in this study is content analysis and the code units have been created during the process. It is mainly a qualitative analysis but it does also contain quantitative elements. With the content analysis, 21 different themes where cut from the three weblogs. These themes where then put into the model of the local library profiles worked out by Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen.

This study aims to analyze the risks with building new households between railroads and shore, the focus of the study lays on Öbacka strand in Umeå municipality. The study also investigate if a land use conflict has taken place and how it was handled.The paper is based on different documents that was central for the work of planning the households and some interviews with operators that was highly involved with the planning of the area.The results shows that there is several risks with establishing new household between railroads and shores. Mainly because of the exposure of noise from the railways, though the risk for impact on the living environment for animals were low in this case there is a generally risk that it could get negative effects. It also a very important that the availability to the shore is secured. Planning in this type of area involves a great number of operators can easily cause a conflict due to the different perspectives on how the land should be used in the future, and also because of protecting different interests.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the library habits of young people, age 15 to 24. Our empirical data are gathered in a survey distributed to 104 young men and women at three different public libraries. The questions are about how young people use the public library, what media and services they use and whether or not they are content with what the public library can offer them. In our analysis we have compared our results to previous research and used a model by Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen to determine how they use the library.

Miljöpåverkan ur koldioxidutsläppsperspektiv från materialutvinning och framställning har varit ett nyckelord i denna studie. Syftet med studien har varit att jämföra projekten Maskinisten och Gävle Strand Etapp 2 med hänsyn till hur mycket koldioxid som släpps ut under byggnadsmaterialens utvinning och framställning samt koldioxidutsläppen som sker på grund av projektens materialspill. Maskinisten är ett platsgjutet flerbostadshus medan Etapp 2 består av två flerbostadshus som är byggda med ett prefabsystem. Målet som vill uppnås med föreliggande studie är att belysa att inför valet av byggsystem borde man ta hänsyn till koldioxidutsläpp. Studien har utförts genom att söka information i böcker, information från tidigare studier och rapporter via databaser som ScienceDirect och det digitala vetenskapliga arkivet DiVA.

The competition for the beach promenade in Helsingborg was announced in 2001 and was arranged by the city of Helsingborg. My contribution to the competition represents the main part of my thesis in the Landscape Architecture Programme. The competition entry is based on the concept of crossing screens of vertical elements which connect the pattern and structure of the city to the beach and the water. The different materials and designs of the screens relate to the various characters of the different parts of the area and they form a sequence and uniting theme along the beach. In addition to the competition entry which was made in 2001, the thesis contains a second part, made in the spring of 2006. It consists of an Introduction with the competition programme and a description of the starting points, a part called Method where the process is described, and the Conclusion with reflections on the competition entry and the process where I also introduce and comment on some other projects which in different ways have are connected to my concept. .

In this Masters thesis the image of the public library in the local press and in the eyes of the public is examined. The questions posed to examine this are: - What activities of the public library are described in the local press? - What activities does the public associate with the public library? - What functions and roles of the public library can be found in the articles and interviews and how are they expressed? - What opinions of the public library and hereto related activities can be found in the articles and interviews? This study is based on an analysis of 127 articles, published in Borås Tidning during a period of six months, and of interviews with 35 people from Sjuhäradsbygden. To analyse the articles and the interviews Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen´s model of roles for the library has been used. The model includes four roles for the library: the library as a cultural centre, a knowledge centre, an information centre and a social centre.

Hur handskas vi med den arbetsrelaterade stressen och finns det faktorer som kan minska den? I denna studie undersöks upplevelsen av stress och socialt stöd i forskarmiljö. Undersökningens deltagare består av 45 forskare i Lund och Malmö som besvarat en enkät. Enkäten lämnades ut våren 2003 och 2005. Syftet var att undersöka om fritidsintresse och socialt stöd kan minska stressen som kan uppkomma i samband med arbetet.

Through a discourse theoretical apparatus, this study examines Sweden's national curriculum, which is constructed for primary schools, pre-school class and leisure time classes. The study also examines the syllabus in physical education and the supplied comment material to the syllabus, the above mentioned material all valid from 1 July 2011. Using cultural researcher Marianne Winther Jørgensen's and communication researcher Louise Phillips interpretation of the political theorists Ernest Laclau and Chantal Mouffe's discourse theory, the study identifies several discourses in the new curriculums. The analysis shows that the curriculums writers construct their expectations through a rhetoric that is perceived as instructional and descriptive. The analysis identified eight discourses, woven into three "orders of discourse", the body, health and physical education.

Under stor del av 1900-talet var det enligt nordiska byggnormer förbjudet att använda trästommar i byggnader med fler än två våningar. 1994 upphörde förbudet och istället infördes brandtekniska funktionskrav, vilket innebär att konstruktionen enbart måste uppfylla vissa krav och att material därefter kan väljas fritt. I detta examensarbete har jag undersökt hur flerfamiljshus skall utformas med hänseende till brand och yttre påverkan, samt hur trä som byggnadsmaterial kan begränsa den arkitektoniska utformningen. I Gävle finns för tillfället inga större flervåningshus utformade helt och hållet i trä, därför har studierna utförts i samarbete med Gävle kommun. Examensarbetet består av en teoretisk del och en tillämpningsfas i vilken förslag på byggnadsutformning arbetats fram, tänkt lokalisering för byggnaderna är Gävle Strand.Dokumentationer från liknande projekt visar att det varit relativt enkelt att få byggnader i trä att uppfylla de brandtekniska krav som ställs.

There are many different ways to control an organisation. In cultural organisations, it has become more common to have several directors working simultaneously. Often, different individuals possess different cultural and economic experience, thus a variety of backgrounds provides a more thorough scope of expertise and knowledge. This type of management is prevalent in the cultural sector.This thesis will research how leaders in cultural institutes work in a dual leadership, ?co-leadership?, when their backgrounds are different.
