Uppsatsen syfte är att undersöka hiv-positivas berättelser om (framtida) relationer, vilka strategier kring relationer (och framtiden) som finns i dessa berättelser och vilka samhälleliga normer som återfinns i individernas berättelser. Syftet har även varit att sprida information om hiv inom akademien, att låta hiv-positivas berättelser höras och bli aktiva, talande subjekt och att analysera dessa berättelser i en samhällelig kontext. Uppsatsens bakgrund tar upp medicinska, historiska och samhälleliga kontexter och visar på relationen mellan tid, plats, medicinska framgångar och värderingar. Det finns få studier gjorda under 2000-talet som både tar upp ett normkritiskt perspektiv på samhälleliga diskurser och innehåller hiv-positivas berättelser och förhandlingar med bilder av hiv(-positiva). Det saknas dessutom studier om hiv som har ett vi-perspektiv, det vill säga ett forskarperspektiv som inte studerar ?de där? utan har egna levda erfarenheter med i forskarpositionen.

The aim of this study is to examine the interaction between a group of multilingual, twelve-year-old children, and three libraries. The children live in a suburb of a larger city. The three libraries are their school-library, the library in their suburb and the main library in the city. We have examined if and how the children use the libraries, what the libraries mean to them in their daily life and what their possibilities are when it comes to participate in and influence activities and collections at the libraries. We have pursued qualitative interviews with sixteen children in grade six and three librarians, working with multilingual children at the three libraries.

Syftet med denna studie var att mäta och jämföra de bullernivåer som en passagerare utsätts för på SL:s pendelbåtslinje 80, Sjövägen, med SL:s busslinjer 443 och 76. Sträckan Nacka Strand ? Nybroplan var lämplig för att båda fordonens start och slutpunkt är belägna nära varandra och båda trafikslagen är valbara alternativ för passageraren.  I denna studie genomfördes bullermätningar ombord i enheten dB(A) med en loggande ljudtrycksmätare.  Studien genomfördes som en fallstudie där metoden designades för att undersöka ljudnivån under en normal resa.

Qigong was initiated by the Chinese government in the 1950´s as a domestic medical tradition to be included within a modern scientific framework. During the first decades it became popular among the élite. During the 70´s and 80´s scientific confirmation of the existence of qi contributed to its immense popularity among the population. Charismatic leaders with a traditional background were leading their groups in parks and the movement was booming. In 1992 Falun Gong was established by Li Hongzhi as qigong taken to a higher level.

The aim of this master thesis is to study what relationship mentally disabled adults have with the public library and what factors affect their meeting with the library. The work of the library is also studied so that the experiences of the mentally disabled can be put in relation to the work performed for the group. The method used was interviews with four mentally disabled adults and one librarian responsible for the social function and availability at the library. As a theoretical framework Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model over the profiles of the library and Michael Buckland?s barriers, which must be overcome to achieve full access to information, were used.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka naturvärden i ungskogsområden (yngre än ca. 35 år) på Sundsvalls arbetsområde, SCA. Den äldre, vid avverkning sparade skogen i ungskogsområdena undersöktes. Denna delades in i följande biotopklasser: "Urskogsartad natursko g", "Lövrik skog", "Sumpskog", "Strand-, bäckskog", "Småbiotoper", "Myrholmar", "Häll-, blockmark", "Kulturmark" och "Trivial skog". De sex första biotopklasserna är SCA:s egna definierade sk.

This report aims to provide an insight into the particle physics of today, and into the research that goes on within the field. The focus is partly on the recent discovery of the Higgs boson, and partly on how software can be used to simulate processes in particle accelerators. Basic concepts of particle physics and the search for the Higgs boson are discussed, and experimental results, including those from the Large Hadron Collider, are compared with simulations made in MadGraph 5. Furthermore, simple new models of particle physics are created in FeynRules, in order to make simulations based on the models. To support the presentations of these aspects, some of the underlying theory is built from the ground up.

Det råder en ojämn uppdelning av män och kvinnor inom arbetslivets ledande poster, vilket till stor del kan härledas till könsstereotyperna. I majoriteten av fallen är det männen som har makten inom näringslivet, så även makten att förändra denna obalans. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka hur manliga chefer ser på ledarskap, sitt eget och andras, hur detta relateras till kön och vertikal könsegregering inom arbetslivet, samt vilka hinder de anser att det finns för kvinnor att nå ledande positioner. Fem manliga chefer intervjuades varefter en tematisk analys genomfördes. Ur materialet framträdde teman som påvisar att dessa män anser att kvinnor utgör mycket bra ledare, men hindras av en mängd faktorer.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the functions of the public library for parents of infants and how they see the ideal library. The research questions are: How do parents of infants use the library and what are their experience of it? What opinions and wishes do parents of infants have regarding the library? How can library services be developed to better match the needs of the parents of infants? The theoretical approach is based on Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model of the public library?s functions and the model of classification by Ellen-Merete Duvold and Gunnar Sæbø. To answer my research questions I have carried out three focus-group interviews with parents of infants. The study revealed that the public library functions as a cultural centre, a social centre, a knowledge centre and, to a certain extent, an information centre for the parents.

Author: Gabriella Agné and Helena LarssonTitle: Disability policy program ? a case study of a municipals implementation of UNs Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.Supervisor: Marianne Westring-NordhAssessor: Ulf DruggeThis study aims to examine how a small municipal in southern Sweden works with the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and examine the assistant officers knowledge about this work and user organizations inclusion and user involvement.The study operates from a qualitative approach based on the results of nine semi-structured interviews with local politicians, assistance officers and representatives from three different user organizations.The results show that the municipal has chosen to work with the implementation of the convention by creating policy programs for their departments through dialogue with user organizations, and by mapping the accessibility to public places. The results also show that the assistant officers have been given no information regarding the convention or the policy programs from their employers and instead operate from national legislations and prepositions. The user organizations feel that they were initially included in the process, but that their impact has later been removed due to structural reorganization..

In recent years, many efforts on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferations have been made by non-nuclear states and civil society. The dissatisfaction has motivated non-governmental organizations to pursue a ?humanitarian initiative? based on international conferences aimed at highlighting the humanitarian consequences of certain arms and nuclear weapons. This study examines the five key roles, according to Rapport et al. (2012), that civil society organizations have played in the establishment of arms control conventions, more specifically the Mine Ban Treaty, also called Ottawa Convention, and the Cluster Munition Convention.

The purpose of the essay is to differentiate the medial assumption of why Smilewas never released and also investigate to what extent media have influenced this assumption.The medial assumption is compared to actual events of the time of the abandonment andthe difference is then being discussed in a media-theoretical perspective.The theoretical framework is based on theories by Denis McQuail. His ideas aboutmedia's influences on the reception of its audience are of great importance for the essay andthe notions of agenga-setting and framing has a central role.Finally the conclusion is drawn that the medial assumption is a simplified and distortedexplanation to why Smile was never released. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate what functions the public library has for parents of small children. If and how they make use of the library and what their opinion is about it. The research questions are: Which functions does the public library have for parents of small children? How do parents of small children use the library and what opinion do they have about it? Which factors have an impact on the parents of small children and how do they influence their use of and opinion about the public library and the functions of the library? The theoretical approach is based on Henrik Jochumsen and Casper Hvenegaard Rasmussen?s model of the social room and the lifestyles and Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model of the public library?s functions. To answer our research questions we have made seven qualitative interviews with parents of small children.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the public libraries work towards SFI (Swedish For Immigrants) based on the views of the overseeing librarians. To study this we have asked the following research questions:What distinguishes the public libraries? work towards SFI according to the responsible librarians? What distinguishes the communication between SFI teachers and the librarians according to the responsible librarians? What opinions are held by the librarians in regards to their work with SFI?We have used a semi structured interview method with seven librarians in charge of the activities with SFI at small and medium sized public libraries in a rural area of Sweden. The theoretical framework is composed of Marianne Andersson and Dorte Skot-Hansen?s model for analysis of the local public library profile and the authors? definition of collaboration.
