AbstractsUppsatsen är en teoriutvecklande studie som behandlar Boomerang-effekten, det vill säga fenomenet när forna allierade till stormakter vänder sig mot dem och blir dess fiender. Uppsatsen baseras på två fall; Osama bin Laden och Manuel Noriega eftersom de passar in på fenomenet i fråga. Teoriavsnittet behandlar det internationella systemet, dess egenskaper och komponenter samt alliansbildningar. I analysavsnittet belyses bland annat varför dessa oheliga allianser bildas och senare bryts samt faktorer som ligger bakom det nya fiendeskapet. Vi kommer fram till att kortsiktigheten som präglar politikers och tjänstemäns tänkande och agerande är en av anledningarna till att allianser bildas med opålitliga personer.

The Swedish election year of 2010 has just begun and the political actors are mobilizing their communication efforts to win the votes of the public. The political campaigns of 2010 have the potential to be the first where a new channel for political communication has the potential to make a difference ? the social media. This paper aims to describe in what ways a Member of Parliament, Nina Larsson (FP), together with the PR-agency Hello Clarice are using social media to conduct political campaigning on the web. It also aims to study if the professional consultants of Hello Clarice have any influence over Nina Larsson?s political communication.The theoretical framework which is the base for this study are theories of an extended public sphere in the age of mediation.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine why graduates in librarian- and information science are employed by private companies. An initial explanation could be the influence of information technology and its impact on the librarian. A second factor relates to how employers regard the librarian outside the confines of the traditional labour market. The study is primarily based upon qualitative interviews with representatives of Swedish companies who have employed librarians since 1993, the year that the education achieved third level academic recognition. Theoretically we relied upon Manuel Castells discussion on the rise of the information society and its influence on companies and the labour market.

Undersökningens avsikt var att vinna kunskap om hur gymnasielärare förhåller sig till lanseringen av begreppet entreprenörskap i skolan. Uppsatsen klarlägger och systematiserar hur lärare beskriver innehållet i begreppen entreprenörskap och entreprenöriellt lärande och fördjupar sig även i hur lärarna ser på upprinnelsen till begreppens lansering i den svenska skolan. Undersökningen gör även en analys av möjliga entreprenöriella undervisningsmetoder samt de olika undervisningsrelaterade problem som lärarna anser att dessa metoder kan ge upphov till. Åtta kvalitativa intervjuer genomförda på en gymnasieskola i norra Sverige utgör basen för undersökningen. Studien nyttjar en abduktiv förståelseansats vilket betyder att analysen av det empiriska materialet kännetecknades av en pendelrörelse mellan en induktiv ansats och en deduktiv ansats.

The purpose of this Master thesis is to examine whether the term elasticity is relevant and functional to apply to public library organisations. Another aim of the thesis is to relate the term elasticity to public library organisations in a network society. Sociologist Manuel Castells provide the theoretical framework on the network society. Three investigations (meant to complement each other) in two Swedish public libraries seek to give answers to these questions.To be able to examine which areas of public library activity are elastic, I make a rough definition of what public library organisations consist of ? nine activity fields are identified using IFLA?s guidelines in combination with Swedish law of public libraries.

SammanfattningPressmeddelanden är en vital del av PR-arbetet och pressmeddelanden blir ofta publicerade som nyhetsartiklar i tidningar och på webben. Denna fallstudie riktar in sig på Telias pressmeddelanden och vad som händer med dessa.Syftet med den här fallstudien är att undersöka vad som karaktäriserar pressmeddelanden från Telia som får medieutrymme. Vidare avses att teoretiskt pröva generella mönster hos pressmeddelanden från Telia som blir publicerade i olika medier. Denna prövning utgår från teorierna om information subsidies och nyhetsvärdering och diskuteras i en kontext baserad på Castells teori om nätverkssamhället. En jämförelse av digitala och analoga mediers tendens att publicera PR-genererat material från Telia avses också att göras i studien.Studiens teoretiskt förankrade forskningsfrågor är följande:Vilka ämnen (i pressmeddelanden) blir till nyhetsartiklar?Vilka medier kopierar innehåll direkt från pressmeddelanden?Påverkar källans prominens pressmeddelandets chanser till publicering?Tenderar pressmeddelanden med lokal vinkling att generera fler artiklar än pressmeddelanden utan?Teoretiskt ramverk för denna studie är Castells teori om nätverkssamhället, Gandys teori om information subsidies vidareutvecklad av Turk och Galtung och Ruges teori om nyhetsvärde.

In 1989 the United States choose, after years of conflict, to carry out a military intervention in Panama, to remove Manuel Noriega, convicted for drug dealing and for threatening the lives of the Americans living in Panama. The aim of this study is to examine whether George H. W Bush?s arguments for the military intervention comply with the principles of the just war.The method chosen for this study is a qualitative literature study, based primarily on secondary data. It is a case study with two complementing theories, the theory of the just war and the world system theory.The result showed that the American intervention both can be justified and unjustified following the principles of the Just War Theory.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att studera hur individer inom organisationer, företag och myndigheter som arbetar med barnsexturismfrågor upplevde sitt arbete. Detta för att forska i hur de upplever att globaliseringen inverkar på arbetet mot barnsexturism. Häri inkluderas faktorer som lagstiftning och hur nationellt och internationellt samarbete fungerar. Vi har genomfört en intervjuundersökning med sju kvinnor och en man. Intervjuerna har tolkats enligt en hermeneutisk ansats.
