ISO14001:2004 : A Human Ecological Tool?This is a study by means of litterature analysis and personal experience to find out wheather you could call ISO14001:2004 a Human Ecological tool. The ISO14001 is an environmental management system. I'm approaching the issue from a users' perspective and putting my experience of implementing the ISO 9001 at my work to good use. Though my personal experience is limited to the implementation of the ISO 9001, it is quite relevant to the task since the update of 2004 the ISO14001:2004 is brought closer to the ISO 9001 standard in many ways.

This degree thesis is based on an assignment from BEOMAT in Storfors. BEOMAT is a company that constructs and sellsclay pigeons to both the national and international market.Our main purpose with this paper is to find a solution/system that can replace the expensive and space demandingOlympic trap facility. Our solution will replace fifteen clay pigeon throwers with one automatic thrower whosimulate all throwers together. The system will be provided with an appropriate control system for mass productiontherefore this system needs to be user-friendly so no previous knowledge is required.Totally 405 different throw coordinates will be stored in the programme in nine different subprograms. According tothe Olympic-rules the throwers should coincidence within certain specified conditions, this will be solved with anrandomizer in the programme.

Being a trustee within the disability care will, in most cases, put big responsibility on the trustee both as a representative for the klient but also as a representative for the standards of the society. The assignment as a trustee is to strengthen the client and ease his/her way of living in the society. The Swedish legislation that controls the process and the regulation of the trustees, is by the authors of this paper preceived as kind of vauge, leaving a lot of room for interpretation. So  how do trustees comprehend their assignment and how do they actually interpret it? Using material from eight interviews with trustees within the disability care, this paper aims to examine these questions, and focuses only on the trustees and their experiences.

För att möjliggöra användbara fuktmätningar hos byggnadsmaterial i produktion har treviktiga egenskaper hos mätmetoder identifierats: ? Enkla att handha ? Enkla att momentant läsa av resultat utan behov av analys ? Enkla att montera (om så krävs)Fuktstickan BTG uppvisar god uppfyllnad av dessa tre krav på egenskaper men gav docksämre resultat vid laborationstester och fältmätningar. På grund av detta så är den ej en avmetoderna som rekommenderas till produktion, utan föreslås istället för vidare studier.Betong har bedömts vara det, av de undersökta materialen, som står för den störstafuktbelastningen för de övriga byggnadsmaterial som den byggs ihop med. Därför har en,för fältmätningar i produktion, förenklad manual för fuktmätningar medelst testosystemetskapats och föreslås ligga till grund för kompletteringar till NCC:s kunskapsdokument.För isolering så görs bedömningen att fukttillståndet hos den kan uppmätas medelst enluftfuktmätare och för uppmätande av fukttillstånd hos trä, rekommenderas traditionella,elektroniska mätinstrument med tillhörande hammarstift på en förlängningskabel.För övriga byggnadsmaterial har inga metoder funnits tillfredsställande, utifrån de tregrundläggande egenskaperna som identifierats för fuktmätning i produktion..

The aim of this study is to analyze how individuals experience their eating disorder, the focus being if anorexia may be perceived as a secure safe zone in the new modern world. The aim is to examine if individuals affected with anorexia nervosa understand the disorder as a solution to the modern worlds changes and the new individual freedom that it entails. This will be analyzed with the help of terms in Erich Fromms theories about escape mechanisms and Catarina Kinnvalls theories about the modern worlds ontological insecurity.The study is based on data collected from four informants of different ages and gender. The interviews were conducted through email and informants were chosen based on a strategic selection and snowball sampling. For the analysis of the empirical material Fromms escape mechanisms (authoritarianism, destructiveness and automaton conformity) and Kinnvalls theories of identity in the modern world have been used.The results of the analysis show that the eating disorder has a great significance for the individual construction and maintenance of identity and that the eating disorder becomes a safe zone to retreat to in a world of performance anxiety.

The aim was to evaluate and suggest improvements for the prototype TIVOLI (sign-learning via computer-based playful interaction). The game purposed to give children who need signing as augmentative and alternative communication enhanced signing skills. Three children in need of signs played TIVOLI at home during 4-5 weeks. Data contained parental interviews, Talking Mats interviews, assessment of signing competence before and after the evaluation period and game protocols. One game interaction per child was filmed.

Industriellt byggande i trä och projektledningsmetoder hänger ihop. För att visa på vilket sätt de har ett samband har kunskaper om projektledning och byggteknik applicerats på företaget Martinsons sätt att projektera höga bostadshus i trä. Syftet med examensarbetet är att upprätta ett förslag till en hållbar projektmodell för projekteringsprocessen gällandes höga bostadshus i trä. Genom strukturering och standardisering av projektflödet i ett bostadsprojekt kan detta i framtiden gynna byggandet av höga bostadshus i trä både i Sverige och internationellt. Resultatet visar en flödesstruktur över ett bostadsprojekt, en manual till projektledaren samt en analys över beslutsunderlaget med rekommendationer på åtgärder för att uppnå en effektivare process utifrån både traditionell-och agil projektledningsmetodik.

Jag har i denna studie velat titta närmare på, och få en förståelse för, vad nyktra alkoholister inom AA upplever har varit viktiga faktorer för att lyckas bibehålla nykterhet. Studiens frågeställning har lett till en tillämpning av kvalitativ forskningsmetod med målsättningen att få fram så nyanserat och relevant data som möjligt. Studiens syfte har varit att få en en förståelse för vad nyktra alkoholister upplever har varit viktigt för att kunna leva ett nyktert liv, samt att få en förståelse för hur dessa individer upplever begreppen meningsfullhet och kontroll och hur dessa eventuellt inverkar på bibehållen nykterhet. Resultaten visar att det råder relativt hög samstämmighet i individernas uppfattningar om viktiga faktorer för att bibehålla nykterhet. En faktor är vikten av att inse att individen är alkoholist och inte kan återfå kontrollen över sitt drickande.

The purpose of the study was to investigate, through an experiment, if positive mood promotes creativity and flexible thinking. Participants were a total of 93 college students. The main hypothesis was that subjects induced with positive mood would perform better than subjects induced with negative mood, at a test reflecting creativity. To further explore the implications of priming (subliminal manipulated moods), a neutral control group was included. The cognitive test used in the study was Duncker´s The Candle Problem, a test which aims to get the subjects to apply flexible and creative thinking.

Tidigare forskning har påvisat vilken positiv verkan olika sorters samarbeten har på innovationer. Interorganisatoriska samarbeten är ett samlingsnamn för olika typer av samarbeten mellan organisationer och dessa kan exempelvis vara nätverk, allianser och forsknings- och utvecklingssamarbeten där det sistnämnda behandlas i vår studie. Organisationer som är involverade kompletterar varandra istället för att konkurrera med varandra. Interorganisatoriska samarbeten uppstår när organisationer söker effektivitet och konkurrensfördelar. Genom att ingå i ett interorganisatoriskt samarbete uppstår en samarbetsfördel som uppnås genom att organisationerna kan tillverka och bistå med olika faktorer som andra organisationer inte kan eller har möjlighet till.

The economic crisis has affected the airline industry as much as it has affected all other industries in the world. The small airlines and maintenance organisations must find new opportunities and options in order to survive the harsh crisis. Priority Aero Maintenance is now an approved maintenance organisation performing maintenance on aircrafts, engines and components. The company sees economic gains in the future by becoming an approved organisation that follows the European Aviation Safety Agency guidelines (EASA) and meets the requirements outlined in the rules of Part-M.In order for the company to become an approved organization, responsible for continuing airworthiness of aircraft, a handbook should be presented to the local authority. This handbook describes the company?s responsibility for the continuing airworthiness in order for the authorities to get an insight into the company and its work.This thesis resulted in a draft of CAME (Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition) and this draft has been approved by Priority Aero Maintenance.The CAME will in the future be used by the company as a basis for developing a more detailed manual to be presented to and approved by the Swedish Aviation Authority (Transportstyrelsen)..

In Uppsala, Sweden, Vattenfall has a combined heat and power plant. On the premises there is an engineering workshop with old fluorescent and mercury lamps that need to be replaced. This provides a great opportunity to save energy and money by installing more efficient lighting. The main purpose of this study was to present two functional and energy efficient lighting systems including control system. The lighting systems were designed by investigating the working environment, measuring illuminance and by simulations in the software DIALux.

Lastflödesberäkningar kan användas för att se om ett nät behöver byggas ut för att tillgodose en ökad belastning, hur mycket reaktiv effekt som behöver tillföras, eller för att se om ett givet nät klarar av bortfall av en ledning. Syftet med denna rapport är att presentera teorierna för lastflödesberäkningar. Dessutom ska en manual till simuleringsprogrammet Power World färdigställas.Ledningens viktigaste förluster är genom: serieinduktans, shuntinduktans och resistans. Reaktiv effekt kan tillföras dels genom seriekondensatorer, för att motverka ledningens spänningsfall; och dels genom shuntkondensatorer för att kompensera för lastens behov av reaktiv effekt. En lindningskopplare ändrar transformatorns omsättning, vilket renderar i att spänningen i överföringsledet ändras.
