When an organisation is going through a work of change, it is highly important that both management and employees has a healthy communication in order to make everybody feel involved. It is then important to be observant for both the managements and employees thoughts and ideas.This study has been performed on an upper secondary school which is performing a work of change. The change has divided the employees in three different groups. One, which thinks the change have evolved the organisation to something better. The second group of people means that it is preventing individual development of competence.

The aim of the project is to develop a tool for a management system at the advertising agency ofConfetti. The company has during a longer period of time felt a need of introducing a quality and environmentalsystem but have a lack in resources of knowledge, time and money. Their goal is to have aconcrete documentation which describes their quality policy and the function of the activity.The work has been performed by mapping and analyzing the processes of the company according tothe process model with focus on one pilot process. New routines have been developed and documentedin a management system.Confetti would like their management system to fulfil the ISO-standard so that they eventually inthe future can be certified. Therefore a literature study has been done according to management systemsand standards.

Det blir allt viktigare för företag och organisationer att arbeta förebyggande mot risker som påverkar säkerhetsfrågor, miljöfrågor och ekonomiska intressen. Ett arbetssätt för att analysera och hantera en verksamhets riskmiljö är Risk Management. Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera hur Helikopterflottiljen Malmen och Scania AB arbetar med Risk Management med fokus på miljöarbete. Studien bygger på två fallstudier som har utförts genom kvalitativa intervjuer.

This study examines how and why organizations evaluate training and development within the organizations. The study has a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews, with office and organization development managers. The purpose of the study is to contribute with knowledge about how three large Swedish organizations evaluates training and development programs for staff members. Another purpose is to describe why the organizations evaluate training and development programs and to research if there is a further need to develop the organization evaluation methods. Therefore the research questions are Why and how do organizations evaluate training programs? What further need is there to develop organizations evaluation methods?The conclusion of this study shows that evaluation of the training and development programs are not a high priority among the selected organizations.

Abstract The main subject of this essay is conflicts at work and the effect it has on the employee´s health.  I can through various reports read that bad health at workplaces is too high and that conflicts are a reason. What can be done to the work environment so it will be better from a psychosocial perspective? Sweden has a regulation that makes the employer responsible to work for an improvement in the work environment; can these regulations be used in purpose to reduce conflicts?My first question concerns the possibility to establish preventive procedures in the workplace systematic work regarding to improve the work environment. My second question is about the obligations of the employer to attempt to reduce conflicts at the workplace and the third question regards the documenting and monitoring of conflicts and the preventing work to reduce them. The purpose of this essay is to clarify how conflict preventive work can be included in the Systematic work environment management.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the relationship between space and consumer interaction at WEEKDAY, a contemporary fashion retail store in Malmö, Sweden. The thesis is based on a qualitative case-study and has a social constructionist approach. In order to understand the interaction taking place between consumer and environment we conducted observations guided by Kenneth Burke?s Pentad.The retail servicescape at WEEKDAY is conceived as a metaphorical stage where drama unfolds, analysing and defining the retail space using Kenneth Burke?s pentad of dramatism. We concentrate on the use of two terms of Burke?s pentad, the scene and the act, almost exclusively as we investigate how the scene stimulates the act.

Denna rapport är skriven inom ramen för magisterkursen Management och på uppdrag av HSB Malmö. Rapporten är indelad i tre delar där den första utgör huvuddelen och syftar till att spegla vårt projektarbete på HSB Malmö. I denna delen beskrivs och tolkas HSB Malmö i nuläget, samt presenteras rekommendationer till hur ledningen i framtiden bättre ska kunna skapa organisatoriska förutsättningar för ett strategiskt förändringsarbete. Utifrån vårt syfte och den information som vi samlat in, har vi valt ut ett antal teman som vi anser är mest intressanta och utmanande för HSB Malmö att jobba med i önskan om att nå större framgång i strategiskt förändringsarbete. Dessa teman (medlemsorganisation eller vinstdrivande företag?, kundorientering, kommunikation och information, kompetens, visionsarbete, ledarskap, företagskultur och organisationsstruktur) utgör grunden för den diagnos av situationen på HSB Malmö som vi presenterar i rapporten.

Det har länge påvisats fördelar med innovation och effektivisering av verksamheter. Med konceptetambidexterity har ett senare forskningsparadigm försökt förklara hur organisationer lyckas uppnåbåde innovation och effektivisering samtidigt genom att balansera strategiska initiativ.Denna litteraturstudie ämnar att visa vad existerande forskning ger för svar på hur organisationerkan uppnå ambidexterity ur ett IT-management perspektiv. Genom att kombinera litteratur omambidexterity med litteratur om IT-förmågor (IT-baserade organisationsförmågor för att möjliggörastrategi och initiativ) ger denna studie en bild av vad existerande litteratur kan ge svar på och vadsom saknas.Studien påvisar många likheter mellan de förutsättningar som beskrivs för att uppnå ambidexterityoch IT-management som organisationsförmåga. Däremot existerar en avsaknad av djupareförklaringar vad gäller de komponenter som IT-management som organisationsförmåga innefattar..

The aim of this study is to investigate how Swedish listed real estate companies use quantitative sustainability measures - mainly sustainability index with a financial focus. Sustainability management is a controversial issue that is used more and more constructive. A sustainable Management approach in corporate cunduct is complex and based on a number of aspects of business visions, objectives and daily procedures. The study identifies aspects that are considered relevant in real estate companies where the selection of sustainability indicators is based on the support of scientific research in this field. The study intendeds to clarify how Swedish listed real estate companies have selected aspects and indicators of sustainability management and how these work towards a sustainable development.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the approach of the EU towards the reform efforts of Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the countries ambitions for EU memberships. The question formulation of the essay is whether there is differences in Turkey?s and Bosnia and Herzegovina?s qualifications for an EU-membership from an EU perspective. In order to better answer the question, we use two part questions. One is about the criterias and qualifications that need to be met in order to get a membership.

The aim of this masters thesis is to learn how an organization has solved its information management via intranet and document management. The purpose is to identify what different types of information are made available via an intranet, how this information is structured and what functions the intranet includes. Conventions, directions and advice about intranets and document management were studied, with the purpose to compare whether the systems of the company correlate with these. Other issues considered in the thesis, are how the employees of the organization use the intranet and how the document management is organized. To get an understanding of these questions the structure and functions of the intranet were studied empirically and a questionnaire on what the employees need and use, concerning the intranet, was sent out to 130 employees.

The purpose of this paper is for the reader to realise how national innovation systems are deeply intertwined with the legal background of a country and to understand the processes that involves national innovation systems specifically regarding the stem cell / genetics research and how the need for specific community law must be considered targeting the stem cell patents. The legal part will try to answer: Why is it important given the actual state of the European stem cell national innovation systems for the European Commission to take a stand and tackle issues regarding the patenting of the human stem cell innovations? This is done from a country industry analysis (business approach) and then linking it with competition law from a community stand point of view (that tackles biotechnology issues).
