The information market is constantly changing. With new and improved information technology more people get access to more information faster. However, the number of people educated to handle information also increases. Business intelligence has for a long time been a well-known tool for companies to be competitive. Because of the increased access to information the competition between companies has intensified and more people have become aware of the advantages of business intelligence and how it can help them compete.

The investigation was initiated because of the high workload of the sellers and, additionally, because the Tunadal sawmill has received low ratings in customer surveys. Thus,  two main approaches are adopted here,  the first being to investigate which of the three methods  of working, namely, market divided flow organization, function organizationand flow organization with collaboration, proves to be the most beneficial. The second is to investigate whether there is an available method to ease the daily work. A literature review has been made in order to determine more efficient ways for the sellers to work in the Tunadal sawmill. During the investigation, an in-depth investigation into the total quality management using a balanced scorecard as a management tool was conducted.

Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på hur en utanförstående upplever, påverkas av, och hanterar en konflikt mellan arbetskamrater på arbetsplatsen. En kvalitativ studie med öppna intervjuer genomfördes med åtta deltagare. Data analyserades med induktiv tematisk analys. Resultatet visade att konflikter på arbetsplatsen påverkar såväl individen, arbetsgruppen som hela arbetsplatsen negativt. Den utanförstående upplever konflikter på arbetsplatsen som påfrestande och att de på flera olika sätt påverkas negativt av dem.

Författarna har kommit fram till att små innovativa banker kan omorganisera sina resurser genom en urvalshändelse eller ett strategiskt val så att dynamiska förmågor uppstår. Dessa dynamiska förmågor påverkar i sin tur och kan även utgöra kritiska resurser som föder förmågorna; innovations-, produktions- och marknadsledningsförmåga. Balanced Scorecard har utifrån vår synvinkel två olika användningssätt. Styrkortet kan oavsett användningssätt uppfylla ekonomistyrningens första två uppgifter. Däremot ser vi brister hos styrkortet som gör att det inte kan ses som problemlösande enligt vår definition. För att denna tredje uppgift skall kunna uppfyllas måste företagets ekonomistyrning ses som en helhet där Balanced Scorecard tillsammans med andra styrinstrument bildar ett styrpaket. Vi vill beskriva och analysera ekonomistyrningen av och inom en enhet i en hotellkedja. Vidare vill vi diskutera hur olika ekonomistyrningsverktyg kan användas i ett hotellföretag. How are the organisations shaped by accountability and normative conceptions of leadership?What is their view on the demands coming from within the organisations? What role does thedemocratic governance body have in relation to the employees and the management?What is their view on employment, relations with trade unions and employer associations andthe managerial position of the organisations?The Swedish context with strong emphasis on membership and democratic rights for themembers and volunteers has not gained a large impact on the international researchconcerning non-profit management. Sammanfattningsvis har vi kommit fram till att kvinnor påverkas av medieidealet i större utsträckning än män. Detta med anledning av tidigt satta könsrollsförväntningar som än idag tydligt framkommer i reklam. Vår studie visar att kvinnor upplever en större rädsla för att inte kunna leva upp till förväntningar skapade av media. Vi märker att män hyllar kvinnliga skönhetsideal samtidigt som de för egen del förhåller sig mer distansierat till ideal satta i reklam..

Sweden is known to be one of the world?s most equal countries. Nevertheless, out  of  Sweden?s 262 listed companies, only seven  of  them  has  a  female  president, which  is  equal  to  3,4  percent. To  counteract  these  numbers  there  are  several  possibilities.  One  arrangement  that  is  highly  controversial     is  affirmative  actions.  But  there  are  other  options,  for  instance  more  and  more female  networks  are  starting  to  rise  and  many  of  them  also  offers  a  mentoring  program  where  the  mentee  gets  the  opportunity  to  learn  from  someone  with  more  experience.The  purpose  of  this  study  is  to  examine  what  difference  the  female  network  Q80,  with  focus  on  its  mentoring  program,  is  doing  for  the  mentee.  As  an  underlying  purpose  the  study  is  also  examining  what  visions  and  attitudes  the  management  and  the  mentors  is  communicating  within  Q80.  The  focus  is  mainly  on  the  visions  of  Q80,  menas  mentors  and  business  exceeding mentorship.  A  survey  has  been  carried  out  among  mentees  from  three  different  seats of mentoring  programs  where  they  have  answered  19  different  questions  regarding  their  time  as  a  mentee.  Furthermore  interviews  have  taken  place  with the management  of Q80  and  two  mentors.  The  results  are  analyzed  based  on  theories  about  gender,  women  in   management,  leadership,  mentoring  program  and  organizational structure.  The  result  shows  that  Q80i  as  a  source  of  inspiration  and  a  support  for  the  category  of  "career  women"  with  its  core  mission  to  strengthen  the  participation of  individuals  on  a  personal  level  more than  to  work  to  even  out  the  gap  in  the  Swedish  labor market.

The study set out to find how artists organize and use their personal collections from a Personal Information Management (PIM) perspective, and how that use affects their practice and their art production. A secondary object of the study was to articulate the ways that personal collections are utilized as tools by creative users.  The empirical data consisted of five qualitative, semi-structured interviews with Swedish and Norwegian sound artists. The constant comparative method was used for analysis, and Activity Theory was used as a theore- tical framework for the study. The study concluded that artists? personal collections, while diverse in content and structure, serve the same functions as tools in creative processes, and that attention to the uses of personal collections highlight needs that could be better met by integrated PIM-functionality.

Genom att studera och redogöra hur SOS anpassar sin verksamhetsutveckling till de förändringar och utmaningar som uppkommer i deras omvärld, är syftet med denna uppsats att rekonstruera den strategiska beslutsprocessen i SOS för att förstå hur en strategi kan formuleras och formas. Uppsatsen tar upp de teoriområden som berör strategisk management; strategisk transformationsprocess, strategiformulering, resurs- och kärnkompetensbaserade strategier och en form av strategiskt samarbete. Slutsats: En formulerad strategi får oftast handskas med externa företeelser, oväntade och spontana.

The increasing competition is making increasing demands of today's businesses to be changeable. Change projects have therefore become increasingly common in order to satisfy market expectations. These projects have often proved difficult to implement and fail rather than succeed. There are many people who reflect on why this is and theorists are increasingly reasoning about the importance of communication in the change process.
