Bakgrund:Poängen med entreprenörskap är enligt många att skapa en lönsamhet. Det är lönsamheten som driver företagarna framåt. För att skapa en lönsamhet krävs kunskap inom ekonomistyrningsområdet och dess verktyg som kan användas för att skapa en lönsamhet.I november 2012 fanns det enligt Statistiska Centralbyrån, SCB (2012) cirka 7500 stycken medel ? och stora företag, samtidigt som småföretagen uppgick till cirka 35 000 stycken. Delar av dagens litteratur riktar sig främst mot större företag, därför vill denna studie istället rikta sig mot småföretag.

The Private Equity industry has over the past years been booming and major external environmental changes have made the industry transform rapidly. Increased competition between Private Equity firms is one of the reasons why the industry has been and is being forced to focus more on addition of value through increased operational management. Consequently, the focus of value addition is by some said to be transferred away from deal making and financial skills, and into active operative management. This case study investigates how the portfolio management, and more specifically the measuring and management of performance, is carried out in a number of leading Swedish Private Equity funds with investments in the biotech sector. The biotech sector is characterized by extensive research and development, and many biotech companies often lack income and other measurable financial parameters in the initial phase.

This thesis explores the changing prerequisites for accountability in terms of Swedish arms export. The study aims to uncover what has happened with the conditions for accountability in Sweden since the responsibility for export control was transferred from the government to the public administration. By investigating how the term ?accountability? has been used in the literature of democratic theory, an abstract ideal model is being created.  Comparing the changed structural arrangements, with each other and the ideal model, it is concluded that the prerequisites for accountability now seems to be in a worse state than they were before..

Syfte: Syftet med vår magisteruppsats är att utreda hur involverade parter idag inom dagligvarubranschen i Sverige upplever Category Management. Syftet är även att belysa implikationer samt potentialer inom ramen för Category Management inom den svenska dagligvarubranschen. Metod: Vi har arbetat utifrån kvalitativ metod och genomfört både personliga intervjuer samt telefonintervjuer. Vårt empiriska material har därefter varit underlag vid den teoretiska kopplingen. Empiri: Vi har utfört personliga intervjuer med involverade aktörer inom den svenska dagligvarubranschen.

The purpose of the study is to describe how financial management functions within the individual and family care services in three mid-sized municipalities.27 interviews with managers and key personnel at three management levels in Örebro, Växjö and Jönkö-ping were conducted using a descriptive approach and qualitative method. In addition governing docu-ments and delineations in regards to these municipalities have been studied.The combined findings show that all municipalities have separate visions and control systems/models for their municipality with focus on management by objectives and politically determined goals, which in-clude economical measurements and requirements for the departments. Moreover, are also tracking sys-tems, which are described as following up on the results thru indicators and/or measurable goals. The municipalities utilize framework financials and budget processing on a high level and its timings appears similar in each municipality.Additionally the study has shown that there is a desire and aspiration to implement central economic goals in all three municipalities. The interviewees describe how they use their leadership to anchor, follow up and create participation in economic objectives and results thru instrumental and institutional leadership.

In theory, the management control of maintenance functions is described as problematic due to the nature of the work performed in the unit. The purpose of this thesis is to examine these predicted problems in practice. Further,the thesis aims at identifying how these control problems may affect the relationships between the maintenance department and its internal customers. A case study has been conducted in one of Sweden?s largest industrial companies to investigate the said control problems in practice.

Environmental management officers ? leadership and employeeship in local environmental health authorityThe purpose of this study was to illustrate the working situation of municipal environmental health management officers. This is a qualitative study where I have interviewed ten environmental officers in ten municipalities in Sweden. The interviews were based on a half structured interview guide with questions. I have interpreted the interviews through different leadership theories.

Sustainability questions that concern the subjects of environmental and social aspects are increasing in today?s society, and therefore the sustainability report is a way for companies to show their work with sustainability development by working with a clear report and follow up. As the first country in the world, Sweden has decided, as from the financial year of 2008, that all governmental owned companies should present a sustainability report according to the guidelines of GRI. The aim of this essay was to identify and analyze actual events from a sustainability aspect for Vattenfall, from a medial perspective during the time period 2005-2009. We made a content analysis of one company?s sustainability reports during a time period of five years and we connected this to the medias reports of the company from the same period, to see if there were any connections between the subjects that media had elucidated.

Hypotes: Personalförmåner motiverar inte de anställda Syfte: Med den här studien vill vi klargöra om det finns ett samband mellan anställdas motivation på revisionsbyråer och deras personalförmåner. Vi vill också utreda vad som ger de anställda hög arbetstillfredsställelse och motivation. Metod: Vi har valt att göra en kvantitativ surveyundersökning med frågeformulär som redskap för att samla in empirisk data. Formulären har sedan genererat statistisk data som analyserats och jämförts med de teorier vi valt att använda. Surveyundersökningen har genomförts på fem revisionsbyråer i östra Blekinge med fem eller fler anställda. Slutsats: I vår undersökning fann vi att personalförmåner inte motiverar de anställda, utan ses som en faktor för trivsel på arbetsplatsen. Vi fann alltså inget direkt samband mellan personalförmåner och motivation hos de anställda på revisionsbyråerna, utan det är andra faktorer som arbetsuppgiftens värde i sig, utvecklingsmöjligheter och lön som ger arbetstillfredsställelse och motivation.
