Syftet var att undersöka om det fanns en variation i hur kvinnliga respektive manliga pedagoger bemötte flickor och pojkar utifrÄn genus, dÀr studien hade sin grund i ett genusperspektiv. FrÄgor vi utgick ifrÄn var: Vilka uttryck tar sig pedagogernas bemötande av eleverna i klassrumsituationer utifrÄn ett genusperspektiv? Vad har pedagogerna för tankar om genus, kön och jÀmstÀlldhet? Finns en variation i pedagogernas förhÄllningssÀtt till genus och jÀmstÀlldhet i relation till skolÀmnet och i sÄ fall hur uttrycker det sig? Studien bygger pÄ observationer och intervjuer i en medelstor stad i Sverige, med fyra pedagoger i olika Àmnen i Ärskurs 6. Intervjuerna har transkriberats och jÀmförts med observationerna samt teoretiska begrepp och tidigare forskning för att se om det fanns en variation i deras bemötande. Resultatet av denna studie visade att pedagogers bemötande ur ett genusperspektiv pÄverkade deras instÀllning till genusordningen som i sin tur resulterade i att de bemötte elever olika.

In this study, staff from two residential treatment centers in Sweden participated. The study is conducted based in on qualitative method in which four semi-structured telephone interviews and one group interview have been conducted.

The opinion of social workers towards their work with children and young persons wasstudied in this essay. Even their point of view with reference to the term the child?s bestinterest has being considered and special focus was laid on the social workers attitudestowards media coverage and its criticism towards their work. A qualitative approach was usedconsisted of six interviews. The theoretical frameworks were based on the theory aboutfreedom of action and the theory of social representations.

This thesis discusses and analyses the existence of two different perspectives, a social and a technical one, in Library and Information Science (LIS). Most of the time the division between these perspectives seems to result in research only using either of them. This can be a problem when studying complex phenomena. We therefore see a need for a metatheory that unites the social and the technical. By presenting and analysing all doctoral dissertations published at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS) 1993-2005, we try to detect and critically discuss the dichotomy between the two perspectives.

The purpose of this study was to analyse the concept of empowerment and its meaning in the political document "En Förnyad FolkhÀlsopolitik" from the present Swedish government, containing guidelines and politics in the area of public health. The underlying question was if it could be considered as representative for some kind of general "empowerment approach" since the concept is central to the very definition of social work by the International Federation of Social Workers IFSW and International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW).By comparing its definition and consequences in the document with a historical review of different contexts of empowerment the conclusion was made that such a common approach doesnŽt exist at all. The meaning of empowerment in the central document showed some similarities with the "northamerican" version of the concept represented by the social scientist Charles Murray, which is just one of the political meanings of empowerment. Alternative ways of understanding the concept was also presented such as being a tool of a constant conflict between central political principles or as a fashionable but not important word. Syftet med den hÀr uppsatsen Àr att undersöka hur vÄrdpersonalen pÄ ett Àldreboenderesonerar kring Àldres behov av aktivitet och social samvaro. I arbetet undersöks hurvÄrdpersonalens rutiner ser ut och hur social samvaro och aktivering prioriteras för deÀldre. Jag anvÀnt mig av tidigare forskning, semistrukturerade intervjuer och tre teorier ?disengagemangsteorin, aktivitetsteorin och signifikanta andra för att svara pÄfrÄgestÀllningarna. Genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med tre personer som arbetar pÄ ettÀldreboende fann jag att respondenternas svar överensstÀmmer med tidigare forskningbetrÀffande att aktivering och social samvaro Àr viktigt för de Àldre.

The purpose of this study has been to describe and analyze how seven Swedish preschool teachers and two special education teachers think and work with children who show a lack of social skills. The study method has been semi-structured interviews with the educators which have been analyzed and sorted under different themes/categories. The theoretical framework used in this study is sociocultural, relational and categorical perspectives. These perspectives have been chosen in order to better understand how teachers see their role in supporting children in need of special support. In this study, we have considered the impact the organization`s implementation of its vision of the psychosocial work enviroment has been for the relations between the employees. We have primarily relied on a hermeneutic approach to understand our empirical data, and when we have interpreted and made a socialpsycological analysis on our collected empirical data. We have used SmithÂŽs Institutional Ethnography, Sheff`s Social bonds and Asplund`s theory of Social responsivity. To collect the empirical data we have combined quantitative and qualtitative methods and a textanalysis at a visiondocument in the aim of capture both the depht and the breadth of our chosen fields of study. The results we have found shows that the psycosocial work environment within the organization can be seen as interplay between individual and enviroment and between individuals as well and that this interaction is influenced by the organizational culture that is created by the organization`s political vision.

The purpose with this paper is to examine whether other peoples opinions of a song and an artist influences an individuals own opinions of the song and artist. Through a quantitative study we seek to study whether such an influence exists and if it does, how strong that influence is. The study began with a pretest to examine whether differences existed when we manipulated our independent variable, how many times the song has been played at Myspace.com. Subsequently we performed a quantitative study by handing out surveys to students at Stockholm School of Economics on two different occasions. Our results show no significant differences in attitude or intentions when the amount of times the song has been played at Myspace.com is manipulated.

MÄnga av dagens ungdomar har svÄrt att komma in pÄ arbetsmarknaden som en följd av att de saknar tidigare arbetslivserfarenhet eller eftergymnasial utbildning. Detta kan vara en förklaring till att allt fler vÀljer att studera vidare pÄ universitet eller högskola. PÄ programmet med inriktning mot personal- och arbetslivsfrÄgor vid Uppsala universitet har man lÄtit avsÀtta 30 procent av platserna för sökande med minst fyra Ärs tidigare arbetslivserfarenhet. Detta innebÀr att en del av studenterna pÄ programmet har arbetat i minst fyra Är före studierna, medan andra pÄbörjat studierna direkt efter, eller i nÀra anslutning till gymnasiestudierna.Det huvudsakliga syftet med denna föreliggande studie var att undersöka vilken betydelse arbetslivserfarenhet har för universitetsstudenters lÀrande.
