Det är allt vanligare att skolelever hoppar över lunchen som serveras i skolmatsalen. Avstår de lunchen på grund av maten eller har miljön i matsalen någon inverkan? Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur skolmaten och matsalsmiljön påverkar eleverna när de väljer om de ska äta skollunch eller inte. Syftet är också att belysa vilka faktorer i matsalsmiljön som påverkar mest huruvida eleverna väljer att äta lunch eller inte. Studien avser även att undersöka om eleverna upplever att de har möjlighet att påverka skolmaten och miljön i matsalen.

The goal of this master thesis is to show the benefit of using computer games of the type First Person Shooter, FPS in the field of military simulations. The main focus in this is around a couple of topics. Creating the AI that controls the behaviour of the computer-controlled characters, the bots. Create an environment where it is possible to supervise the bots and also design a framework that enables cooperation between a group of bots, a squad. The result is Total Unreal Studio, TUS, a program where it is possible to add bots to a squad, connect them to a game server and inspect what the bots are doing.

A lot of children read Astrid Lindgren?s picture books and therefore this might influence what?s female and masculine. The objective with this essay is to establish the benefits of inserting media as an obligatory topic in the upper secondary school. In order to succeed with this I will not only type this essay I will also produce a medial production in the form of a film.  I have interviewed two senior masters on Södertörns College where I have reviewed different questions that relate to the matter's weight in school values and the society. In the study I will also reflect over existing research within the area and to link these to the issue and those interviewed opinions. In the film I also present statistics within the communication technology's increase and an explanation how one obligatory topic becomes an obligatory topic..

Examensarbetets syfte var att undersöka preferenser för olika mellanmålsdrycker, avsedda för skolbarn och som enbart var tillverkad av skånska vegetabilier. Ett ytterligare syfte var att studera lärares uppfattningar av elevernas koncentrationsförmåga under lektionstiden innan lunch.Som ett första led i att utse tre mellanmålsdrycker till ett preferenstest bland skolelever utfördes två konsensusprofileringar. Första profileringen utfördes med experter inom produktutvecklingsområdet där fyra dryckesprototyper profilerades och den andra profileringen utfördes med en studentpanel där 3 vidareutvecklade prototyper profilerades.Preferenstestet utfördes med barn som deltagare för att utse vilken av de tre prototypdryckerna som barnen ansåg som favorit. Favoriten skulle användas till ett projekt vid namn Skolskjutsen.För att ta reda på lärares uppfattning kring elevernas koncentrationsförmåga innan lunch utfördes en kvalitativ mailundersökning med sex deltagande lärare.Resultatet från profileringarna visade att prototyperna skiljde sig från varandra i fråga om egenskaperna utseende, doft, smak och konsistens. De två utvalda mellanmålsdryckerna från profilering 1 var båda söta och mindre sura, den nya framtagna prototypen som profilerades i profilering 2 ansågs både vara för sur och mindre söt i smaken.Preferenstestet visade att barnen signifikant föredrog svartvinbärsdrycken framför mixdrycken i smak, utseende och i helhet.

The aim of our study was to examine how the elderly experience their meal situation in a sheltered housing. We have used a qualitative approach. We conducted individual interviews with six elderly in a sheltered housing to collect our empirical material. To reach the purpose of this study we tried to answer the questions: which factors affect the elderly person?s experience of the meal and which significance does the meal have for the elderly? To reach deeper understanding for our collected material we used Maslow?s theory of human motivation, the two concepts of Tönnies; gemeinschaft and gesellschaft, disengagement theory and the concept of Bourdieu, called habitus.

Currently, there are no clear statistics on how the floor plan and room size in apartment buildings has changed over time since the postwar period. The statistics available is average area per apartment which can be found on Statistics Sweden's website. This report has the aim to increase knowledge about how the Swedish home have changed over time.The questions that the report will answer are:For apartment buildings, how has the living area been distributed since the postwar period?Why has the area distribution changed over time?A survey of the houses built during 1950-2014 was made before questions could be answered. A case study was also made which a total of 90 apartments were analyzed and divided into three eras, the people´s home, the million programme and the neomodernism.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to study various views of sponsorship in relation to public libraries as found within three cultural policy documents. The main objective is to discover which ideas are considered relevant in the partnership between the Swedish retail chain, Åhléns, and the children?s public library, ?Room for Children? (Rum för Barn). In 2005, Åhléns provided SEK3.14 million in sponsorship to ?Room for Children? at Kulturhuset in Stockholm.

The aim of this thesis was to investigate whether the selection of products in the school cafeterias in Uppsala county high schools' comply with NFA's (National Food Administration) recommendations. Furthermore, the intention was to examine pupils´ eating habits before and during the school day, and their views on the school cafeteria´s selection of products. To investigate this, an inventory of school cafeterias in six high schools in Uppsala County, and a survey among 60 pupils were carried out. The results showed that the NFA's recommendations not always were followed. The survey showed that there were healthy products in the cafeterias but unhealthy products nevertheless constituted a large part of the selection.

A large amount of our time is spent indoors in an artificial climate. To make the experience pleasant there are requirements on the ventilation and the heating system. At the present time the most common form of heating is a radiator system complemented with a ventilation system. A ceiling heating system with combined heating and ventilation can replace the two separated systems. The benefit with a ceiling heating solution is that it saves space since the radiator system is no longer needed.
