The purpose of the essay is to analyze the welfare state from a gender perspective. Further, the paper analyzes and critically examines three different normative solutions provided by Irish Marion Young, Nancy Fraser and Jürgen Habermas for the realization of a welfare state that includes women.Habermas argues that the welfare state has created a situation of dependency and state paternalism which reduces both individual and collective self-determination. Young follows Habermas? argument. She argues for a political climate where justice is reduced to the distribution of material goods rather than the elimination of underlying relations of domination and gender specific patterns.

This candidate essay is built on literature studies and discusses the meaning of the residential yard along with what you, as a landscape architect, should think about when you are designing functional residential yards. To do this I found it necessary to figure out what it is that makes people step outside their own apartment and out into the city?s public places. The reasons for this are numerous and many times individually affected. Something that plays a role in people?s outdoor life and prevents them from spending time outside is the lack of time, the technique of today and the feeling off insecurity.

This paper aims to examine how, and if, music is being used integrated in other subjects thanmusic in school. The study is based on qualitative interviews and I haveinterviewed fourteachers, regardless of whether they use music a lot or not.The questions the study is basedon are if there might be a connection between theteachers' own feelings for music andwhether they use music inschool or not, how music is being used and does the use of musicgive any effects?The result of this study shows that there can be a connection between the teachers ownsfeelings for music and the fact if they use music when they teach or not. One of the teachersI?ve interviewed had bad music experiences and didnot use music in her teaching.

Fokus i denna studie har legat på två mobila förskolors görande av måltid. Den mobila förskolans avdelning består av en buss som dagligen rör sig mellan olika platser.  Vi har genom observationer, där vårt främsta verktyg varit videokamera, under fyra dagar undersökt den praktiska organiseringen av lunch- måltiden samt hur pedagoger och barn handlar och interagerar inom de specifika förutsättningar som den mobila förskolan ger.  Som komplement till denna metod har vi även genomfört samtalsintervjuer. Genom transkripter av våra videofilmade datasamlingar analyserades resultatet i relation till organisering och interaktion under måltidssituationen. Våra slutsatser är att måltiden på de två mobila förskolorna trots till synes likadana förutsättningar utformades på olika sätt gällande organisering och deltagarnas möjligheter till interaktion. Pedagogerna på de mobila förskolorna väljer själva hur och var måltiden utformas.

I den aktuella studien är syftet att undersöka hur pedagoger interagerar med elever under skolmåltiden samt att undersöka ljudnivån under lunchtid. Studien ska även ge en bild över  pedagogers inställning till den pedagogiska lunchen. Materialet som ligger till grund för studiens empiri är observationer i fyra olika skolmatsalar samt 35 enkäter besvarade av pedagoger i årskurserna sex till nio. För att analysera interaktioner mellan pedagoger och elever har Yrjö Engeströms utvecklade modell av verksamhetsteorin använts. Teorin är utvecklad från Vygotskijs aktivitetsteori och innefattar många ramfaktorer pedagogen förhåller sig till under den pedagogiska lunchen.

IKEA strävar efter att kunna erbjuda marknadskraftig heminredning inom alla områden. 24 hour Living room och dess delprojekt är en utgångspunkt för framtida idéer inom området.24 hour Livingroom är ett projekt där en urban lägenhet på cirka 40m2 skall möbleras för ett compact living. Nyframtagna möbler och prototyper skall förenkla vardagen för en familj på två vuxna och två barn.

In the gaming industry, it has long been popular to combine genres with the aim ofcreating games that bring together the best of several worlds. However, there are stillmany unexplored combinations with good potential.This report addresses the planning and development of a game prototype that combinestwo game genres, turn-based and real-time strategy. In addition to presenting the results,the report also discusses the di culties that were encountered and how they were handled.The prototype contains a working combat system and a basic AI. The prototype ismodular, which means that it is easy for an end user to extend the game with extra content.Most elements that were considered important from the two genres were implemented, butthere is still room for improvement and further development.The result is evaluated by means of quality assurance, a process that is commonly usedin the gaming industry. The response has been generally positive, which indicates thatthe combination has potential and should be explored further..

?The trees importance to the street? discusses just that, the trees importance to the street. The purpose of this paper has been to examine what influence the trees have on streets. By writing about good examples of how trees can add good qualities to a street I wish to inspire to more use of trees in future city-planning. I have examined three streets in Malmö and three streets in Berlin and analyzed the trees influences there through the help of literature by three authors: Great Streets (1993) and The Boulevard Book (2002) by Allan B. Jacobs, Trees in Urban Design (1993) by Henry F.

This examination paper is a study of the indoor climate in a theatre and a practice room for orchestras placed in Sickla in Stockholm. The designer of the ventilation system wondered if he had managed too make a good environment for the users and he also wondered which of the rooms that had the most desirable climate. The project includes polls for visitors, interviews of people connected to the rooms and measurements of the physical environment. The results show a small dissatisfaction about the thermal indoor climate, it?s a little bit to cold and the air draws.

För oss som lärare i ämnen där kost är ett viktigt område att undervisa om är det intressant attundersöka kostrelaterade forskningsproblem. På en gymnasieskola utanför Göteborg serverasdet gratis frukost till eleverna. Skolan gör detta för att de elever som av olika skäl inte kan ätafrukost hemma ska ha möjligheten till detta och därmed öka sina förutsättningar för att på ettbra sätt tillgodogöra sig undervisningen.Studiens syfte är att utvärdera skolans kostnadsfria frukostservering. Vilka är det egentligensom äter frukost i skolan? Den avser även att ta reda på vad eleverna väljer att äta när de harmöjligheten att äta en näringsriktig frukost och hur deras uppfattningar kring frukostensbetydelse för koncentrations- och prestationsförmåga samt sötsuget ser ut.Enkätundersökningen genomfördes under två morgnar samma vecka, en onsdag och enfredag, med totalt 90 deltagande elever.Resultatet visar att de som äter frukost i skolan inte är de som skolan syftar att nå med sinsatsning.

Övervikt, fetma och även sjukdomar såsom hjärt-kärlsjukdomar och diabetes har ökat globalt de senaste decennierna. Sötsaker har visats spela en stor roll för denna ökning. Många ungdomar har på sina gymnasieskolor tillgång till sötsaker av olika slag. Denna undersökning har granskat om tillgängligheten av sötsaker påverkar ungdomarnas inköp av dessa livsmedel och om ungdomarna själva tror att deras köpvanor skulle påverkas vid ett hälsosammare utbud på respektive skolas kafeteria. Ett eventuellt samband mellan inköp och hur ofta ungdomarna äter skollunch och inköp med avseende på könsskillnader har också undersökts.

The aim of this study is to investigate the meaning of the librarycafé for its visitors as a place. By this study we want to see howimportant the library café is as a place. Our theoretical departurepoint is an adaption of the space and place-theory, by Fisher,Saxton, Edwards & Mai. By adapting the theory to a libraryperspective it helps us to understand how library users look uponthe library café as place.Using a qualitative approach the empirical material has beencollected through observations and interviews. We observed andcarried out interviews with six library café visitors at threedifferent library cafés.Our findings are that the library café is used in many differentways and by many different peoples.
