Recent turmoil surrounding nuclear power as an energy source, especially since the accidentat Fukushima, has largely contributed to the debate of whether or not nuclear power should beused as an energy source. This study has examined the economic feasibility of replacingForsmark?s 3rd nuclear reactor with a bio fueled power plant, and find out how this could bedone.The power generation that has to be replaced is equal to 1170 MWe. To replace this, 6 largescaleCFB-boilers, each providing over 200 MWe, were necessary. In addition to this, eachboiler required their respective turbine sets, comprising one high-pressure-, and one lowpressureturbine with intermediate reheating capacities.Based on this, a rankine-cycle was modeled using the software EES, to be able to calculatethe total heat required in the power plant.

Clustered Columnstore Indexes (CCI) and In-Memory Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) are two new techniques that were introduced with Microsoft?s new database management system SQL Server 2014.The thesis analyzes these two techniques, describes the theory behind them and also the background information that needs to be known to understand more of the new techniques. Performance tests of the new techniques have been performed to see how much faster response time we can get and less storage we need to use where the result is represented by performance diagrams and a compression diagram. This thesis is a cooperative work with a company called Trimma and the result is used as support to decide if these new techniques could be of advantage for the company.The test consists of five test queries with different purposes. The result is illustrated by diagrams that show the result and another diagram that shows how much the data gets compressed with the different techniques.

Bakgrund: Långvarig smärta är ett vanligt förekommande problem och bidrar till lidande för den det drabbar, samt för med sig stora kostnader för samhället. Multimodal rehabilitering (MMR) sker i team utifrån ett biopsykosocialt synsätt och är en lämplig rehabiliteringsform för personer med långvarig smärta. Detta betyder att förutom fysiologiska aspekter omfattar behandlingen kognitiva, psykologiska, beteendemässiga och arbetsrelaterade komponenter.Syfte: Att utvärdera effekten av MMR för patienter med långvarig smärta inom primärvård avseende upplevd aktivitetsbegränsning, self-efficacy, samt sömnkvalitet.Metod: Studien hade en jämförande kvasiexperimentell design. Redan insamlad data via självskattningsformulär från 50 patienter analyserades efter MMR jämfört med före. De mätinstrument som användes var Pain Disability Index, Self-efficacy Scale samt två frågor om sömn.Resultat: Patienternas upplevda aktivitetsbegränsning minskade signifikant efter rehabiliteringen och self-efficacy ökade signifikant.

Hälften av personalen inom äldrevården uppger att de dagligen lyfter tungt vilket kan geskador i rygg, skuldra och nacke som kan leda till arbetsskada alternativt sjukskrivning.Durewall-systemet och Stockholmstekniken är de vanligaste lyfttekniksmetoderna iSverige. På undersökningsplatsen användes Stockholmstekniken. Rapportens syfte är attidentifiera faktorer som associeras med sjukskrivning på grund av smärtupplevelse vidlyftmoment i arbetet inom äldrevården, beskriva eventuella smärtupplevelser vid lyft avboende samt undersöka om eventuell information om lyftteknik är effektivt förebyggandemot upplevd smärta vid lyft av boende. Då undersköterskor återfinns längst ner i svensksjukvårds hierarkiskala har yrkesgruppen svårt att påverka. Studien genomfördes på ettboende i Västsverige med enkäter och omfattade 18 undersköterskor.

Work has a great influence on most of individuals in society. It influences both identity as well as the structure of the day. Unemployed people are often affected in a negative way through economic and psychological problems. In order to help people with reduced work capacity back to the labour market and decrease unemployment, the Labour Market Board works with vocational rehabilitation. The aim of this study is to investigate experiences of vocational rehabilitation within the Labour Market Board among unemployed people.

Introduktion: HPV-vaccination infördes i vaccinationsprogrammet 2012 för flickor 11?13 år. Vaccinationen ges vid tre upprepade tillfällen under cirka ett år. Smärta och oro i samband med vaccination påverkar varandra och kan leda till en ond cirkel där smärtupplevelsen ökar. Upplevelsen kan påverkas av tidigare erfarenheter av vaccination.

In this report I have compiled my thesis which was about investigating what sellers of real estates find important when they shall appoint a real estate agent. I have also looked into other parameters in my study, like whether the sellers at all use real estate agents and how they have proceeded in case they do not use an agent. In addition to that, I have tried to find out why sellers didn´t chose LRF Konsult and what they know about the company. This analyses was made through questionnaires sent to those estate owners who didn´t use LRF Konsult when they sold their estate. The questionnaires contained 8 questions.

Syfte: Att beskriva och analysera sjuksköterskors kunskap, användning av och inställning till avledning som en smärtlindrande omvårdnadsmetod vid procedursmärta hos barn. Metod: Fyrtioen sjuksköterskor, varav sexton specialistutbildade, från tre olika pediatriska slutenvårdsavdelningar besvarade en enkät som sedan analyserades med hjälp av innehållsanalys samt i statistikprogrammet SPSS där t-tester och Spearman?s rangkorrelationskoefficient beräknats. Resultat: En stor andel utav sjuksköterskorna hade hört talas om avledning och använde sig regelbundet av metoden. Två tredjedelar, främst specialistutbildade, hade hög kunskap kring avledning och ansåg sig använda metoden i hög utsträckning. Flertalet, främst specialistutbildade, var positivt inställda till metoden. Specialistutbildade sjuksköterskor hade högre kännedom och kunskap än grundutbildade sjuksköterskor.

Swedish school system is today victim of facing competition. Today sees the school leadership the students like customers whom they depend to operate their school. But I have asked myself, what will be the new students see and how much this spectacle in both money and time that project will cost for the municipality and school teachers. The question is if whether the school will be better when the competition becomes school or just better marketed? I'm interested in how clearly ideologies emerge in schools brochures if we study them at critically and analytically way.

Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) includes Crohn´s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UK). The diseases are chronic and have a pattern of relapses interspersed with relatively symptom-free periods. Common symptoms during relapse are diarrhea, abdominal pain and weight loss. Since you have IBD for life it is important to find ways to relate to and cope with the disease. In that process a nurse can be of great help.Aim: The purpose of this literature review was to increase the understanding of how adult patients with inflammatory bowel disease experience their daily lives.  Method: The method used was a literature review.

BackgroundThe lifeworld describes the experience of being a humanbeing, how we experience life and how we live our lifes. When a disease, such as depression occurs, the whole lifeworld can be filled with suffering. Depression is an affective disease, which means it involves the emotions. The patient gets dejected and the emotional devotion abates. Broken sleep, anxiety, pain, concentrations difficulties, fatigue and reduced appetite is some of the symptoms.

The purpose of this thesis is to try to find out what effect subject oriented projects like Energiutmaningen has on the teachers, with a focus on teachers? physics education. What was the experience for the teachers who participated and what effects did the project have on them. Four teachers were interviewed through qualitative interviews. From the result it showed that the most experienced teachers, who have been teaching physics for many years, gained a new perspective of their teaching, through their participation a development showed in their education.

Bakgrund: I Sverige besöker mer än 200 000 barn akutmottagningen varje år. Där måste de ofta genomgå smärtsamma diagnostiska och behandlande procedurer. Den främmande miljön leder till att barnen upplever stress, oro och rädsla. Barn och föräldrar är överens om att nålstick och venpunktion är några av de mest stressande och smärtsamma procedurerna i samband med ett sjukhusbesök. För många barn som hamnar på sjukhus är den största rädslan att behöva få en spruta eller uppleva smärta.Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa metoder som lindrar oro och smärta hos barn vid nålstick i samband med sjukhusbesök.

Bakgrund: Kunskaperna om smärta och fysiologin runt smärtan har ökat väsentligt under åren. Trots det ökade intresset och nya kunskaper om smärta och smärtbehandling får flera patienter ännu samma oförändrad och otillräcklig smärtbehandling postoperativt. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att beskriva patienters upplevelse av postoperativ smärta. Metod: Litteraturstudien baseras på sex vetenskapliga artiklar, alla med kvalitativ forskningsansats. Studien granskades och analyserades efter Graneheim & Lundmans analysprocess.

This master thesis deals with reading and library habits among young male students at the vehicle engineering programme in an upper secondary school. Also their overall opinion of libraries has been looked into. For the completion of this study all of the 43 students in question took part in a questionnaire while 5 of them were interviewed. The result of this statistical survey complemented with more focused interviews show that at some time or another all the students read, but their preference lies within the news and engineering pages of daily newspapers and periodicals. Those who read books choose action and fantasy for content.
