The aim was to further develop the filler cap found onmore or less the whole of the company?s range of chain saws, in order to make it moreuser friendly.The present filler cap is not easy to open and close, especially when wearing gloves, andunder difficult conditions, which creates problems and prolongs filling time.On the basis of market surveys, different prototypes and tests, we have created anergonomically improved cap of a new shape, which can be moved in the axial direction,thus making filling easier..

The Vaxholm conflict was initiated when the Swedish Trade Union for Construction Workers shut down a construction site in order to prevent a Latvian construction company to build a school after the two parties had failed to agree upon a collective agreement in compliance with Swedish regulations. An emotional public debate followed that resulted in a discussion of the proposal for the Services Directive of the EU, based upon the country-of-origin principle. In this thesis we will analyze whether the country-of-origin principle or the country-of-destination principle is best suited to capture the gains-of-trade that the common market hoards and improve welfare within the EU. We conclude that the country-of-origin principle is the more apt of the two, though it leads to some short-run costs such as structural unemployment. But these will be more than outweighed by the gains in aggregate welfare for the EU in the long run..

This report is founded in lack of knowledge concerning the design and layout procedureduring a new engine room construction.The prime question is how the engine room takes its form from idea to construction and whathappens in between. We want to give the reader a better understanding in how the work isdone and why it is designed the way it is concerning layout, ergonomics and safety. Duringthis report we will enhance the knowledge concerning regulations and rules that are of greatsubstance such as SOLAS, Swedish Sjöfartsverket and IMO.By contacting the parties involved in the process in newly designing a vessel and its engineroom, we will assume their approaches and experiences. We will study the work progressfrom planning to construction of a vessels machinery spaces. We will with the help ofinterviews with interested parties get an idea of the approach and also compare the finishedproduct a bit depending on company size and resources.The investigation resulted in a good basis for how a ship engine room design takes shape andwhich aspects are taken into account, however, we found that the existing rules concerningengine room layout was very vague and was seen as the most recommendations.

This paper describes a case study of the largest film production ever conducted in Scandinavia. The study aims at explaining the complex relationships in the network structure in which the project took place. Coordination of creative projects carried out in a network context, includes handling conflicting interest and contradictions. Creativity needs space and freedom while projects need structure and coordination, whereby controlling these projects becomes complex. Adding to the complexity, does the loose form of organization that the network structure represents, without any long term structure.

In this paper, a navigation support approach for speech-only interaction based on auditory icons for room-based designs is presented, i.e. naturally occurring sounds that have a natural mapping to the system's underlying design metaphor. In contrast to many recent investigations that have focused on multi-modal or augmented reality systems, this paper concerns a unimodal speech and sound-only system. An auditory icon based prototype system for buildings maintenance support using a room-based metaphor was developed. The design was evaluated in a comparison with earcons and no-sound designs.

Den antimikrobiella peptiden LL-37 finns uttryckt i alla kroppens slemhinnor och lagras i stora mängder i sekundära granula hos neutrofiler och monocyter. Förutom dess antimikrobiella effekt uppvisar LL-37 pro- alternativt anti-apoptotisk effekt på eukaryota celler beroende på celltyp. I denna studie visar vi för första gången den pro-apoptotiska effekten av LL-37 på den humana osteoblastcellinjen MG63. Vid stimulering med 4?M iakttogs en reduktion av cellantalet med 40% och en utbredd celldöd kunde fastställas genom Trypan Blue-infärgning.

I denna uppsats undersöks huruvida HPM (High Power Microwaves) kan användas som enverkansform i framtida luftvärnssystem för att bekämpa kryssningsmissiler. Studien undersökervilket hot kryssningsmissiler kan utgöra, hur de är konstruerade och hur HPM kan påverka dem.Uppsatsen redogör för hur det nya luftvärnskonceptet är uppbyggt och vilka krav på förmågor somställs på framtida luftvärnssystem. Den undersöker även hur ett HPM-system är uppbyggt ochvilken verkan det kan ha på elektriska system i en kryssningsmissil. Vidare diskuteras vilkeneffekt tre olika HPM-system kan ha mot kryssningsmissiler kopplat till de krav som ställs iluftvärnskonceptet.Huvudslutsatsen indikerar att HPM-system kan ha verkan mot kryssningsmissiler. HPM-systemkan nyttjas främst i scenarier där det ställs höga krav på eldhastigheten mot kryssningsmissiler påkorta avstånd.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine how the gender system is described in chick lit. The analysis is based upon seven chick lit novels. The primary theoretical point of departure is Yvonne Hirdman?s theory about the gender system, the hierarchical order and the separation of the sexes.

Lantmäteriet använder idag ett verktyg för fastighetsvärdering, detta verktyg består av ett system med spridd arkitektur för att lagra fastighetsdata och geografisk information. Studien syftar till att undersöka vad det finns för alternativa tekniker och lösningar för att integrera spatialdata och fastighetsdata i samma databas. För att finna svar på detta analyseras litteratur, svar från enkäter som besvarats av slutanvändare samt resultat från djupintervjuer av systemexpter. Resultatet visar att tekniker som t.ex. ArcSDE och Oracle Spatial kan lösa det angivna problemet.

Denna uppsats beskriver hur utvecklingen avett webbaserat system för registrering av datorer kan ske med hjälp av vattenfallsmetoden. Fokus på detta arbete ligger förutom själva utvecklandet av registret också på dokumenteringen av de olika stegen som följts enligt vattenfallsmodellen. Detta arbeteförsöker också svara på om denna modell är lämplig att använda vid utvecklingen av liknande system. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease can limit patients physical abilities and contribute to social isolation. The purpose of this literature study is to investigate men's and women's experiences of living with chronic obstructive pulmonary dis-ease, and the supporting and guiding role of the nurse to an increased quality of life. 13 critical reviewed articles were used to find the answers to our questions. Quality rating forms were used in order to guarantee a good scientific quality. The results show that, it is of great importance for the COPD-patients well-being to experience social support from those around them, and to have a close relation-ship with their families and friends, in order to experience quality of life.

This thesis was developed as an assignment from Ludosity Interactive where the goal was to develop a copy of the Xbox Live Indie Games-marketplace from the Xbox 360. Ludosity Interactive had a necessity to easily test a game's attractiveness to potential customers using testing people from outside the company in a simulated Xbox Live Indie Games test environment; excluding this developed system there is no other way to do such an analysis without actually releasing the game on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace and then analyze the resulting sales from the product.The finished system had to be similar to the original system to the degree that a user could see past the interface itself and use the system just as he/she would have used the real marketplace. It also had to be easy to change and add games to the system so that Ludosity Interactive easily could show the games and the data that they deemed interesting for their tests. This thesis describes how large Swedish companies finance their debt and identifies some factors that affect their decisions. The study is based on 10 well-known companies of which 9 are listed on Nasdaq OMX Nordic. The results show that the companies display several similarities concerning their debt structure and the factors which their choices are based upon. All companies in this study primarily use corporate bonds for their long-term borrowing, commercial papers for the short-term borrowing, and bank-facilities as back-up. There is a tendency that smaller companies in larger extent use bank-loans for long-term borrowing due to larger emissions costs when using market financing.
