This is an essay about gated communities and their impact on society. The key questions of my essay are: why people choose to live in gated communities; how the city is impacted by gated communities and what the difference concerning the reasons and impact of gated communities in Florida and Sweden is, and what this difference might depend on. I am using postmodern urbanism as a starting point, and I look closer on Edward J. Soja?s theories about the postmodern metropolis.

When farm animals are transported there are several factors that can affect their welfare. If the vehicle has an accident the welfare of the animals transported will probably be compromised. The aim of this study was to make a survey of accidents with animal transportation vehicles in Sweden. The survey included the number of accidents from January 2000 to May 2014, the cause of the accidents and how the animal welfare was affected by the accident. The authorities which were likely to have reports about accidents involving animal transports were contacted. There were no collected records about transportation accidents and the authorities referred to eachother for information.

Bakgrund                Jag har valt att skriva om elevers upplevelser av kunskapsbedömning. Då bedömning ökar i omfattning och sker allt tidigare i skolåren ställs höga krav på likvärdighet och rättvisa i bedömning. Hur bedömning eventuellt inverkar på elevers motivation, självkänsla och vidare lärande, blir då viktigt att skaffa kunskap om. Syfte                        Studiens syfte är att undersöka elevers upplevelser av kunskapsbedömning. Vad har elever för känslor inför att bli bedömda och hur uppfattar de syftet med bedömning? Jag vill även ta reda på hur resultat och respons uppfattas av elever. Metod                      Jag valde en kvalitativ ansats i min studie.

Användningen av strömmande video ökar snabbt just nu. Ett populärt konceptär adaptive bitrate streaming som går ut på att en video kodas i flera olikabithastigheter. Dessa videor tas sedan och delas upp i små filer och görstillgänglig via internet. När du vill spela upp en sådan video laddar du först hemen fil som beskriver vart filerna finns och i vilka bithastigheter de är kodade i.Mediaspelaren kan där efter börja ladda hem filerna och spela upp dom. Om defysiska förutsättningarna, som exempelvis nedladdningshastighet eller CPUbelastning,ändras under uppspelningen kan mediaspelaren enkelt byta kvalitépå videon genom att börja ladda filer av en annan bithastighet och slippa attvideon laggar.

This study is based on interviews with heads of unit, care staff and senior representatives from a total of six people. We have in this study directed our focus on care quality in the elderly as a concept in development. It appears, when the elderly do not have any dependents, it is even more important that staff supports some extra where no relatives are involved.Quality of life is the broader concept of good quality care and where a good quality of care is a necessary condition for a good quality of life. According to the social services care is the target that older people will live a good life and be allowed to live in a safe environment, which we intend to investigate in this study. Opportunity for greater influence should now be given to older people and their families on how interventions should be designed and implemented.

Detta examensarbetes syfte är att analysera språksynerna som framkommer dels i kursplanen för svenskämnet i Lgr11 och dels i några aktiva lärares skriftliga respons på autentiska elevtexter. Detta för att kunna göra en jämförelse dem emellan och således kunna föra en diskussion om i vilken utsträckning dessa kongruerar samt hur dessa förhåller sig till teorier kring språkutveckling. Därtill diskuteras den politiska kontextens påverkan i lärares arbete. För att kunna analysera dessa olika typer av texter har två olika analysteorier använts. Metoden som används är en textanalytisk studie där ena delen utgörs av en brukstextanalys och den andra av en kritisk närläsning.

When professionals meet people from other cultures, there are some problematic issues that may appear, especially when considering human rights. Every individual has the right to live as they choose, and have the right to their own culture and traditions even if they have immigrated to another country. Female genital mutilation is a tradition that violates human rights. In this study we will look at what conflicts of values that professionals can have while meeting clients who have been mutilated. We have made qualitative interviews with four professionals working in a small town in Sweden in an area where many immigrants live.

Denna studie fokuserar på att studera fenomenet ?plus-size? modeblogg, alltså modebloggar som är skapade av överviktiga personer. Denna studie vill finna svar på vad som driver dessa personer att modeblogga, hur det kommer sig att de bloggar och hur de upplever interaktionen med sina läsare.Den överviktiga modebloggaren är en viktig aktör i samhällsdebatten genom att dessa personer vill visa en alternativ kropp gentemot gällande samhällsnormer kring hur en kropp skall se ut för att vara välmående.Resultatet av denna studie visar att dessa personer ser sig själva som en del i grupp av andra överviktiga bloggare och bloggläsare och känner i och med det en tillhörighet, vilket påverkar deras bloggande i en positiv bemärkelse. Det som driver dessa personer är interaktionen med sina läsare ? responsen de får på sina inlägg.

The wild boar was reintroduced to Sweden in the 1970´s from enclosures that they had escaped from and by a government decision in 1988 they were considered a part of the natural fauna again. The purpose with this report is to examine the effects of the wild boars? reintroduction both on their welfare and on other aspects, such as how their population growth affects Sweden. This was done by gathering information from scientific literature and by performing three interviews. Another purpose is to briefly overlook live trapping and other common regulation methods.

The purpose of our study is to provide a deeper understanding of the organization at alive concert. We want to identify and bring together different agents implicit knowledge and make it explicit. We contribute to the theoretical discussion by examining how liveconcerts are organized and why, what goals there are to participate in the organizationof the concerts as well as how the organization manage and control towards these goals.Our study is based on 15 interviews with different agents involved in the creation of liveconcerts. The study has shown that the organization of live concerts is similar to atemporary, imaginary organization because there is a temporary and implicit structure.Relationships are created by the agents? cooperation and customer relations with thesubcontractors.

   To work and live in the same place where ones employer also is the landlord, can create a situation with many special requirements for the individual. Constrains regarding time, space and impact on social life is likely to appear. Based on theory and empirical research about the Boundaryless work and the Psychological contract the purpose of this report is to examine employees who live and work at the same place. This is done by studying the regulation regarding time and space factors and the psychological contracts in expectations and in violation of the psychological contract and the risks associated with this like Locked-in factors. The study includes interviews with managers and employees (n=9).

Under 1980- och 1990-talet examinerades musiklärare med rytmisk sång som huvudinstrument i en svensk reformerad utbildning som ansågs motsvara samhällets krav på en ?modern? musiklärare. Hur formades studenter, lärare och traditioner i denna reform? Denna kvalitativa studie fokuserar sångpedagogisk verksamhet med inriktning mot afroamerikansk tradition med syfte att undersöka rytmiska sångpedagogers upplevelser av sin verksamhet, kompetens och kunskapsutveckling i relation till sin egen utbildning och yrkespraktik. Tre sångpedagogers unika och personliga berättelser ligger till grund för studien vars resultat visar på att den mångfacetterade sångpedagogiska verksamheten bär på utmaningar som går att koppla till bland annat traditioner kring undervisning i högre utbildning, kompetens och självinsikt.

Det är svårt att utveckla en mobiltelefon som är attraktiv för alla olika typer av slutanvändare. En av faktorerna som gör att mobiltelefonen anses som attraktiv är att den skapar mervärde genom att uppfylla slutanvändarens behov och önskemål. Studien undersöker vilket värde som läggs på användarresponsen, som inhämtas via användningstest, i utvecklingen. Detta försöker studien besvara genom kvalitativa intervjuer med två testledare från Sony Ericsson, samt sex användare som deltagit i användningstest. Intervjuerna fokuserade på respondenternas åsikter om värdet av användarrespons.

Denna uppsats studerar liveness i nyhetsintervjuer mellan nyhetsankare och korrespondenter i direktsändning i SVT:s kvällssändningar av Aktuellt och Rapport. I uppsatsen studeras främst hur liveness frammanas i dessa intervjuer och om frammaningen påverkas av vilket kön och/eller intervjuroll intervjudeltagarna har. Uppsatsen använder sig av samtalsanalys som metod och utgår ifrån ett antal centrala begrepp som angriper materialet på tre olika nivåer, strukturell-, handlingssekvens- och detaljnivå. Teorier som finns med som utgångspunkt berör institutionella kontra vardagliga samtal, live two-way affiliated interviews, liveness samt autentiska samtal. Även samtalsanalys som teori samt begrepp som hör dit är centrala.
