I denna studie har två förskollärares syn på musik i förskolan undersökts. Kvalitativa intervjuer har ägt rum på två olika förskolor ? en utan specifik inriktning och en avdelning med musikinriktning belägen i en annan förskola. Intervjufrågorna formulerades så att förskollärarnas syn på musikens roll och användningsområden i förskolan framkom. Svaren som gavs var i stora delar liknande, bland annat när det kommer till hur förskollärarna uppfattar musikens påverkan på barns språkliga utveckling.

Den här uppsatsen skrevs för att belysa de hinder som kan uppstå när man som musiker tar sig an nutida musik, i detta fall japansk sådan. Den inriktning som arbetet tagit är hur man genom att förändra notbilden kan komma närmare musikens kärna, samt göra instuderingen så effektiv som möjligt under en relativt kort tid. För att nå de resultat jag gjort har jag använt mig av två informanter som arbetat med två stycken för solo flöjt av Kazuo Fukushima (1930), Mei (1962) och Shun?San (1969). Fallstudiens genomförande har tagit tre veckor där informanterna som är studenter har fått studera in båda verken och därefter notera om det ena av dem (Mei) för att se om de med denna metod kom närmare kärnan i musiken och kompositörens intention.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka hur förskollärare ser på arbetet med musik i förskolan, vilket syfte de har med musikstunderna och på vilket sätt barnen ges inflytande över hur musikstunderna utformas och får möjlighet att använda sin kreativitet. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra förskollärare och den teoretiska bakgrunden utgår från ett sociokulturellt perspektiv.Musikstunderna på förskolor är vanligtvis spontana och initieras av både vuxna och barn. Förskollärarna är positivt inställda till musik men det förekommer en osäkerhet om den egna kompetensen inom ämnet. Musiken fungerar ofta som ett medel för att lära sig något annat, och inte som ett mål i sig. Förskollärarna upplever att barnen ges möjlighet till inflytande i musikstunderna och att barnen har tillgång till material av olika slag, som exempelvis instrument.

Title: Creating meetings - a study in interactionism and creating music. In this study I had my focus on teenagers in a school class. My aim was to explore how pupils experience the processes of creating music together and how they choose to organize their interactions during these creative processes. As analytical tools I used sociological and sociopedagogical concepts and theories. Interactionism provided models toward individualization as well as socialization, related to learning, knowledge and creativity.

Genom observationer och intervjuer på barn undersöks hur och påvilket sätt barn lär av varandra på musiklektioner.                                   The study aimed to explore how patients with ICDs experience their quality of life with a focus on everyday life, electric shocks, and how support from the health service is perceived. The studydesign is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven patients. Data collection lasted for three weeks and interviews were conducted in the participant´s homes, at the participants? workplaces or over the phone.The study shows that most participants have learned to live with the ICD.

Background: Approximately one in three Swedish people will receive a cancer diagnosis. Cancer primarily affects the elderly but also young people suffer. Young people are in a period of life that could put a strain of the ordinary when they are faced with choices and new challenges. The basic sense of security in everyday life is not so obvious and many suffer from, for example, stress and the feeling of being inadequate in relation to the requirements. It is relevant that the nurses can put themselves into what it is like to be young and afflicted with cancer, with the pressures of life itself and what the disease represents.

The aim of this paper is to investigate how teachers in Swedish schools abroad reason about their work developing the Swedish language as the students live in a non-Swedish speaking country although going to a Swedish school. Furthermore the study intends to examine the teachers' attitudes towards the impact the Swedish language has upon the school. Research questions:What thoughts do the teachers signify in reference to the language development of the students?How do the teachers reason about the role of the Swedish language in the school?In order to answer these questions, qualitative measures has been used in terms of observations and interviews. The study is based upon a social constructivist perspective with the idea that reality is socially constructed.

This essay aims to examine and compare the attitudes of decision makers in the local government and representatives of pensioners in two different geographic areas. The main questions were:- their attitudes towards the "stay home principle" (kvarboendeprincipen, a principle that aims to make it possible for people with a handicap, disease or age to stay in their homes instead of moving to nursing homes).- their attitudes towards nursing homes for old people- their attitudes towards the possibility of staying at home when you are old and handicapped and in need of care.The essay is built on qualitative research methods, based on interviews and on a review of research in the field.The author found a complex picture of attitudes. Everybody thinks that the best is to live in your own home as long as possible, except from those who live with Alzheimer´s disease. They showed different opinions on the issue of the need for moving to nursing homes. This might result in forcing people to stay at home.

This study examines how to translate digitally composed symphonic music to note script and how it gets readable and playable. With the help of professional musicians from the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, teachers from Kulturskolan in Norrköping as well as other musicians, I have learned how I can improve each individual stem in my composition. I also learned how to write for a real musician. My score have been analyzed by composers and a conductor which have given me a more in depth insight into composing symphonic music.The theory section describes important MIDI aspects, score preparation and note editing techniques.
