Denna uppsats syftar till att belysa den eventuella skillnad i uppfattning om och syn på ett vidgat textbegrepp som kan förväntas råda mellan lärare och elever samt mellan kvinnliga och manliga individer ur respektive grupp. Undersökningen är kvalitativ, då jag som metod har använt mig av kvalitativa intervjuer som analyserats och tolkats utifrån den hermeneutiska tolkningsmetoden. Resultatet visar att det hos de intervjuade, både lärare och elever, råder en hierarki mellan olika texttyper samt att de intervjuade lärarna i huvudsak använder sig av andra texter än de traditionella tryckta för att åskådliggöra, stödja eller komplettera skönlitteraturen. Denna bild av det vidgade textbegreppets plats i undervisningen bekräftas av eleverna. En majoritet av eleverna skulle gärna se ett utökat arbete med ett vidgat textbegrepp i svenskundervisningen, men många utrycker oro över att en sådan undervisning skulle ske på bekostnad av den traditionella undervisningen med skönlitteratur, vilken uppfattas som det egentliga svenskämnet.

The chow-chow breed is considered to have a low fertility and this report is an in depth study of the reproductive functions of this breed in Sweden. Only 53 % of the Chow-chow matings results in litters. Previous studies of other breeds in commercial kennels shows mating results around 85-90 %, but this has not been investigated in hobby kennels and most Chow-chows which are bred from in Sweden, are kept as family pets. Contrary to most other breeds, Chow-chows show a seasonal reproductive pattern and most litters are born in the autumn. The influence of the month of mating on pregnancy rate and litter size was found to be not significant, but can be considered a trend. Thirty-nine females with previous known fertility problems where studied. Some of them had reached puberty extremely early, at an age between 4-5 months, and many of the bitches showed great fluctuations in intervals between oestrus cycles. Some of the females showed abnormalities such as very short oestrus intervals of only 2-3 months, probably without ovulating.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka förekomsten av icke-västerländska författarskap i läroböcker för svenska på gymnasiet. Undersökningens grund är en pedagogisk textanalys, vilket är en form av innehållsanalys. Fyra läroböcker avsedda för svenskämnet på gymnasiet har analyserats genom en pedagogisk textanalys med såväl kvantitativa som kvalitativa inslag. Uppsatsens teoretiska utgångspunkt har främst varit Edward Saids postkoloniala teori och Mekkonen Tesfahuneys tankar om ett eurocentriskt utbildningssystem. Vikten av ett etnografiskt förhållningssätt i skolan är också en del av teorin.

Denna examensuppsats är skriven på Lärarutbildningen på Malmö Högskola inom ämnet för Religionsvetenskap och lärande och visar på elevers attityder till ämnet Religionskunskap. I min undersökning ingår 78 enkäter som delats ut till elever i år 8 och 9 och tre intervjuer med elever i år 8 och 9. Frågeställningarna som besvaras är: Vilka tankar har grundskoleelever kring religionskunskapsämnet idag? Anser grundskolelever att religionskunskapsämnet är relevant idag? Hur har religionskunskapsämnet förändrats i den svenska skolan under de senaste seklen och hur har debatten kring ämnets existens sett ut? Undersökningen visar på att eleverna tycker det är viktigt med kunskaper i Religionskunskap samtidigt som de anser att ämnet inte intresserar dem så mycket. Min slutsats är att bristen på intresse för ämnet har samband med att det eleverna anser är viktigt och som är i linje med kursplanen inte stämmer överens med det eleverna upplever att religionsundervisningen fokuserar på.

The purpose of this essay is to examine what literary heritage teachers communicate in the school subject Swedish at upper secondary school. The overall research question for this work is: Which authors and/or works are mentioned by the teachers in the school subject Swedish at upper secondary school? How well do these authors and/or works answer towards a multicultural perspective? Which factors affect teachers´ selections of texts? Based on this purpose and these research questions, the aim is to answer the didactic question of what.To accomplish the purpose of the study a quantitative method has been used. The survey was conducted in two medium-sized cities in central Sweden, and was answered by 17 teachers. The study shows that the teachers ascribe the Western and Swedish literature great importance.

In this thesis I set out to study how the reading of fictional literature is viewed, legitimatized and operationalized in two educational domains: the recently revised steering documents that all Swedish teachers must relate to, as well as a selection of teaching materials designed for education in the Swedish language for upper secondary school. The teaching material I have studied has been recently updated in order to correspond with the new steering documents. I relate my analysis to previous research about the use of fiction in education, and I also combine my analysis of the two educational domains to see whether the underlying intentions of the steering documents have influenced the revision of the teaching material. The outcome indicates that the steering documents? previous focus on culture has diminished although a certain insecurity as to how to use the concept and deal with the issue of whose culture should be taught can be identified.

There are many theories why animals play but none have jet been proven. During observation on Canids, play seems to be important when they learn to control the intensity of the bite and to facilitate the social structure within a group. When dogs play they perform behaviours that otherwise are used during hunting, reproduction and aggression that in another context would be for example hostile. The dog is one of the species that we humans have domesticated and they have been exposed to an intense and concentrated breeding so they can function in different areas, for example herding and hunting. This breeding has resulted in that the pure bred dogs can be very different between the breeds.

The purpose of this study is to examine, from a gender perspective, Utbildningsradions TV-program Hej Litteraturen! in the light of feminist literature studies conducted during the last twenty years. I want to examine if the feminist literature studies have had any impact on contemporary teaching material regarding the question of how much space in time is given to men versus women and which female authors are included in the literary canon. Hej Litteraturen! is a TV program produced in 2010 intended for high school teaching of literature history.   By conducting a content analysis in which I divide the study in a quantitative and a qualitative component, I have investigated how much space and time is given to female writers and how they are presented. My analysis draws on use Yvonne Hirdman?s theory of the gender system.   The result shows that the female authors get 37 percent of the total reference space and 42 percent of the time-space. The program has sought to describe male and female authors equally and gives them weight and relevance to the sections in a similar manner.    In conclusion, Hej Litteraturen! is a tutorial which embraces parts of the criticisms that have existed in historical literature review papers in general and literary history textbooks in particular. Hej Litteraturen! has worked on gender aspects of the program and by picking up contemporary authors as reference points for literary history in the present, the program contributes not only not only in renewing the literary canon, but also in balancing out the dominance of male writers in the history of literature..

In Sweden, selection for leanness in pigs has been going on for almost a century. This sometimes results in gilts and sows being too lean and consequently in a risk for reduced reproduction and health status. The Swedish recommendation includes that gilts should be mated after seven months of age, after one documented oestrus, at 120-140kg live weight and with a backfat thickness of 16-20mm. Five gilt producing herds were visited and records of age, heart girth (for weight estimation), body condition (visual estimation), backfat thickness and exterior were made. The same records were also taken in four gilt buying herds on newly purchased gilts.

The aim of this study was to investigate if behaviour, ear positions and cortisol in lamb which were given access to play followed the different phases of the reward cycle of anticipation, consumption and relaxation. The study was done on 8 Dorset and 12 Dorset x Fine Wool uncastrated male lambs with an average age of 10 weeks. The lambs were housed pairwise in litter pens (2 x 3 m). Pairs of lambs were taken to a play arena (5.9 x 5.5 m) three times a week during five weeks (first week for learning). They were then first kept in a holding pen where they could look into the play arena for 5 minutes and thereafter released for 20 minutes in the play arena which had a ball, two chains and a tunnel.

Denna uppsats handlar om texturval hos nio svensklärare i gymnasiet, samt deras tolkning av kursplanens formulering ?centrala verk?. Författaren till denna uppsats tar, förutom valet av tryckta skönlitterära texter, även upp multimodala texter och försöker undersöka vilka texttyper de intervjuade lärarna föredrar att använda i sin undervisning. Syftet är att försöka få en inblick i hur texturvalet hos gymnasielärare i svenska, i relation till kursplanens ?centrala verk?, kan gå till.Nio svensklärare som arbetar på gymnasiet har intervjuats via mail.

Migration and giving birth are crucial decisions for animals during their life cycle, which may have lasting consequences on their population demography and fitness. Migration can entail a variety of possible effects for an individual, such as access to high quality food and reduced risk for predation. The moose (Alces alces) in northern Sweden is partially migratory and moose females are known to give birth to one or two calves. The synchrony between time of calving and timing of migration has not been compared before, especially in terms of energy maximizing and time minimizing perspectives, which may provide vital cues for fitness benefits of migration. I investigated effect of timing of birth and individual life history on distance, timing, stopovers and duration of 190 individually marked female moose that have been tracked for multiple years in ten different areas in northern Sweden.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka om det fanns någon skillnad mellan populärlitteratur och den litteratur som anses vara exklusiv. För att få svar på detta genomfördes en språklig analys av fyra böcker. Tre av böckerna anses vara populärlitterära medan den fjärde anses vara exklusiv.Den språkliga analysen innehöll tre huvuddelar: en textuell analys, en ideationell analys samt en stilanalys, detta för att få en så bra översikt samt bred infallsvinkel som möjligt. Efter den språkliga analysen jämförde jag böckerna som anses vara populärlitterära med den som anses vara exklusiv, för att se om det fanns någon skillnad de olika litterära klassificeringarna emellan.Den språkliga analysen visade att det inte fanns någon direkt språklig skillnad mellan de böcker som anses vara populärlitterära och den som anses vara exklusiv. Inte heller mellan de populärlitterära böckerna fanns det någon direkt skillnad.

In this thesis, we have analyzed the Swedish debate about whether to impose a national canon, and make it compulsory in school curricula. Cecilia Wikström, a Liberal MP in Sweden, made the suggestion in July 2006, and the focus of our analysis is the subsequent debate during July and August 2006. Our materials are polemical articles from three Swedish newspapers, which we have examined to find the main ideas and arguments behind the various standpoints. Three issues have been our main focus; first, we have analyzed which concepts of culture the various debaters have used, where we have seen a difference between an anthropological and an aesthetical concept, but, surprisingly, found that there isn?t a very strong correlation between an aesthetical concept of culture and being pro-canon, or between an anthropological concept of culture and being anti-canon.
