The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to identify the relationship between color and semiotics and how a person?s opinon, regarding a game character?s different characteristics, can be affected by the use of various colors. Prior to this study people were asked, through an online survey, to write down words that they associated with different colors. The colors were then divided into four different groups depending on whether they had been associated with positive-strong words, positive-weak words, negative-strong words or negative-weak words. In order to further shed light on the effect of colors, the four palettes, consisting of the colors associated with the different words, were then used separately to give color to two characters: a man and a woman.

As the volumes are entering the world of computer graphics the pure volume visualisation becomes a more important tool in for example research and medical applications. But the advance in haptics --- force feedback from the computer --- is behind. In volume haptics no equal to the proxy method so popular in surface haptics has yet emerged. Some implementations of volume haptics even use surfaces as intermediate representations so that surface haptics can be used.The intention of this work was to create natural feeling haptic feedback from volumetric density data using pure volume haptics. The haptic algorithm would be implemented in Reachin API for the Reachin Desktop Display, together with other parts to build up a usable volume visualisation environment.To achieve the feeling of stiffness and friction dependent on tissue type, a proxy based method was developed.

This thesis is an addition to pictures and animation that has been developed using CATIA V5. The animation and the images are a market basis to test whether the product is of interest in the Nordic market. The thesis is structured with elements of the Fredy Olsson method. In this thesis there is also a short presentation of the company Tylö AB, which been chosen to market test the product. A product definition with the sub-headings; ?Description and use of product?, ?Environmentand users?, ?Economy? and ?Product inquiry?, are the basis for the product.

This thesis describes how the development of a mechanical enclosure to an alarmsystem proceeded. The project was made on behalf of Inferno Light Indusec AB.The goal set to this housing would offer a home alarm in which Indusec?s uniquesound system would give the customer a new alternative on the market. They wantedto, among other things, create an aesthetically but at the same time affordable alarm.The aesthetic theme is something that is missing in today?s market.

Vissa studier som undersökt kombinerad styrketräning och uthållighetsträningjämfört med styrketräning har funnit hämmad styrkeutveckling vid kombinerad träning. Forskning har därför riktats mot att undersöka hur hämmad effekt kan undvikas. Syftet med litteraturöversikten var att genom att granska vetenskaplig litteratur i området beskriva faktorer av betydelse för styrkeutvecklingen i nedre extremitet vid kombinerade uthållighetoch styrketräningsprogram. En beskrivande litteraturstudie gjordes på ämnet. En litteratursökning genomfördes mellan 6-24/9, 2014 i databaserna Scopus, Proquest, Pubmed, Cinahl, AMED, Web Of Sciense.

Although Social Democratic Memoirs comprise an extensive material, these texts have not attracted any systematic analysis as a distinct and yet varied form of textual genre. The focus in this MA-paper is the Swedish Social Democratic Memoir as a rhetoric genre. The main primary material is memoirs of the pioneer August Palm (1849?1922), the father of the nation Tage Erlander (1901?1985) and the political leader Göran Persson (1949?), published 1905, 1972?82 and 2007, respectively.The general aim is to find out what is the driving power of the memoirs and, more specifically, to shed light on the images of the party history and the history of the welfare state. The method is a comparative analysis of these texts.

Denna kandidatuppsats fokuserar på den unika information som finns gömd i optionspriser. Med hjälp av marknads- och teoretiska priser på dessa kan den implicita riskneutrala sannolikhetsfördelningen geräknas, vilken antas vara den sannolikhetsfördelning som aktiepriser följer. Kännedom om denna fördelning torde alltså vara av stort intresse för marknadsaktörer. Uppsatsen ämnar utvärder hur pass användbar nämnda fördelning är i perioder som anses politiskt och ekonomiskt turbulenta, och främst syftas till att bedöma hur pass väl osäkerheten föregående vissa utvalda regeringval och folkomröstningar avspeglas io fördelningen. Den implicita riskneutrala sannolikhetsfördelningen karakteriseras förutom av varians även av de högre momenten skevhet och kurtosis.

The purpose of this essay has been to compare different constitutions, and their outlook on citizenship, rights, obligations and natural duty. This has been done in the light of the political philosophy, in order to give the answer to four questions. These questions are: Which rights and obligations can be seen in the constitutions, and how can it be interpreted. Can there be signs of any political philosophy in the constitutions?  Are there any differences between the constitutions regarding citizenship, rights, obligations and natural duty? If so, what are the differences? Can the rights be seen in a further extent than the obligations in the constitutions?I have conducted a qualitative comparision study and analyzed the political philosophers and made a classification scheme of their views.

With examples from a single classroom situation, several educational moments show what goes on between the teacher and the student. The teacher?s responsibility in the learning process is, with a gesture frozen in the air of the moment, to lead and follow the student in her tentative efforts at seeking knowledge. Initially, it is an attempt to shed light upon the "not yet seen" with a certainty that the student herself possesses the capacity and the aptitude to reach greater insight and clarity in her understanding. The Validation/Feil Method presented in this instructional situation illustrates how best to communicate with elderly people suffering from Alzheimer?s dementia.

SammanfattningSyfte och frågeställningar: Syftet var att undersöka energiutgifterna vid användandet av en dansmatta respektive ett traditionellt danspass.Våra frågeställningar var: Hur skiljer sig energiutgiften för ett traditionellt danspass mot ett pass med dansmatta? Samt: hur förhåller sig energiutgiften i de olika aktiviteterna till de dagliga rekommendationer för fysisk aktivitet?Metod: Försöksgruppen som genomförde studien bestod av fyra män och fyra kvinnor i åldrarna 23-26 år. Försökspersonerna har sedan tidigare blandad vana av fysisk aktivitet. Metoden utarbetades utifrån sambandet mellan hjärtfrekvens (HF) och arbetsbelastning (w). Försökspersonerna fick genomgå tre olika typer av tester.

Denna rapport är ett resultat av att System Andersson vill utreda uppbyggnaden av deras materialplaneringssystem. System Andersson har valt att dela upp systemet i ämnesområden till flera olika projektgrupper, där författarna till denna rapport ska ge förslag på parametrar för att genomföra materialanskaffning. Målet med de framtagna parametrarna är att materialplaneringssystemet ska generera inköpsförslag, där det tydligt ska framgå vad som ska köpas och vad som ska tillverkas.  Författarna ska ta fram två olika lösningsförslag, Light och Advanced. Syftet med denna uppdelning är att systemet ska anpassas till olika kundsegment. För att ta fram parametrarna har en litteraturstudie och en kundundersökning genomförts. Litteraturen som har använts är tidigare kurslitteratur samt annan litteratur inom ämnesområdet för att validera kurslitteraturen.

Adjustment to a neutral colour balance when printing was the starting point in this degree project. Onthis base ICC-profiles were evaluated and assessed. The survey was concentrated on the similarity betweenreproductions on different papers with various ICC-profiles. The colour balancing introduced aconsistent variable between four graphic papers. With raised uniformity the probability increased toreceive similarities between the various combinations of ICC-profiles and papers.Numerous of measurements and calculations have been carried out, mainly to confirm whether or notadjustment to a neutral colour balance is possible and repeatable.

Denna studie genomfördes genom ettspråksociologiskt perspektiv som bland annat studerar språk i ett socialtperspektiv. Tankar till studien grundades sig i att det verkar råda en hel delengelska lånord i svenskan och det finns delade meningar om hur pass mycket detpåverkar det svenska språket och hotar det. I ?Mål i mun-handlingsplan för det svenska språket? menar man att detska räcka med svenska men trots det verkar de engelska lånorden få en alltstörre plats i det svenska språket. Denna studie syftade därför att undersökavilka allmänna attityder 10 stycken informanter har till engelska lånord.Strävan var även att undersöka hur pass medveten vi är i användandet av lånordsamt om där fanns vissa lånord som föredras.

Today, youth crime is a topic that recurs daily in the news and politics; the subject arouses motions both within the professional community and among private individuals. The purpose of this study was to shed light on how social workers reason and work with young people aged 15 and above who are in criminal environments. We also shed light on how motivation can contribute to young people accepting the voluntary interventions that social workers have available. The study helps draw attention to the potential challenges that social services face when motivational work is insufficient, and the concern is not sufficiently high to warrant the use of coercive interventions. Our empirical material was collected using semi-structured interviews with social workers who have a degree of Bachelor's degree in Social Work, whose work is to carry out investigations of young people who, due to their own behavior, may be in need of support or protection from social services.

In Uppsala, Sweden, Vattenfall has a combined heat and power plant. On the premises there is an engineering workshop with old fluorescent and mercury lamps that need to be replaced. This provides a great opportunity to save energy and money by installing more efficient lighting. The main purpose of this study was to present two functional and energy efficient lighting systems including control system. The lighting systems were designed by investigating the working environment, measuring illuminance and by simulations in the software DIALux.
