Denna uppsats behandlar första fasen i produktutvecklingsprocessen, det vill säga Fuzzy Front End (FFE). FFE är perioden från att det finns en möjlig idé och företaget anser att den är värd att utforska ytterligare, till dess att idén är godkänd och företaget är redo för att börja utveckla samt investera i projektet. I litteraturen anses denna fas som kritisk därför att den är problematisk samt avgörande för företagets fortsatta aktiviteter inom FFE. Forskningen har visat att det finns ett samband, att om företaget effektiviserar FFE bidrar det till framgång för den nya produkten. Det finns liten förståelse vad som verkligen försiggår i FFE fasen och i denna Litteratur Review har 12 stycken teman identifieras för att redogöra för FFE.

Our examination project has been to develop today?s existing walking frames and make them more exiting and user friendly for tomorrow?s users.The use of a walking frame today makes it easier for a person with a movement difficulty in different extent. It makes it easier with their living condition and the user get a more movement easier life where they can take care of the daily chores without any help from the society or the family members.With our product we get a product that not only makes it easier for the user to get out and get forward. We help the user to get forward where they often would have difficulties to get forward. An example is where its more steeper parts where it could be more difficult to get up or down and even with more difficult foundation due to bad weather.

The project was performed in collaboration with Husqvarna, one of the world?s leading manufacturer in the market of electric outdoor products. The report is a thesis work of a bachelor mechanical engineer program, in the field product development and design.The project is a study of the development opportunities within drive belt for a gear driven gearbox to one of Husqvarnas petrol powered hedge trimmers. A big part of the project was also to find combinations of materials for all components in the gearbox, to reduce weight and maintain or improve the performance of the system. Belt drive was of interest to investigate as an alternative solution to the current design that can reduce wear on the system at a performance test performed in the company before the product is released to market.

The environmental debate is more intensive than ever before and the demands on companies increase. There are a number of methods to make it easier for the companies to fulfil the demands. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) end ecodesign are some of the methods that can be used. Syntronic AB has the possibility to reduce the products´ environmental impact in the design phase. Therefore it is important for the company to make it possible to visualize the negative environmental impacts a product can cause in an easy way. It is also important to visualize for there clients if any improvement is possible. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a simplified model.

Bakgrund Storstockholms brandförsvar (SSBF) har sedan bildandet 2009 arbetat mot en mer kostnadseffektiv organisation. Detta är ett relativt nytt sätt att tänka inom räddningstjänsten. Denna typ av organisationer har traditionellt sett opererat utan kostnadsfokus. För att beskriva räddningstjänsten organisatoriskt har vi använt oss av teoribildningen kring high reliability organizations (HROs), organisationer som alltid sätter säkerheten först. Arbetet mot en kostnadseffektivare organisation beskriver vi i termer av new public management (NPM) och lean production (Lean).

This study is based on the development of a new software, which is used as a recommendationtool for selecting the best product. As part of the software development has an external partnerbeen asked to assist. The report will process the expectations that different people have on anew project but also how information is communicated to an external partner.The results from this study show that a software's function is closely linked to its usability.Therefore shall usability been taken into account when a new resource is created. The study alsoshows the importance of being able to share information, on how the program will beconstituted, to someone outside the organization..

Bakgrund: Inom ett byggprojekt är det många aktörer inblandade vilket gör kedjan mycketkomplex. Det finns flertalet logistiska strategier som har till syfte att förbättra logistiken. Enav dessa strategier är Lean vars huvudsyfte är att skapa värdeökande aktiviteter för sinakunder. Under de senaste åren har Building Information Modelling (BIM) blivit allt mer känt.Det är ett informationssystem och en arbetsprocess som har till syfte att bryta ned ettbyggprojekts processer för att skapa ett högre värde för kunden. BIM är ett verktyg som ritar3D-modeller och innehåller information om varje objekt.

The shooting sport is one of the most widespread sports in the world and it isbeing practice in most countries. Based on their own experiences, in competition -and hobby shooting, the client M4Solutions found a demand and need for ashooting target that is manufactured in Sweden.The purpose of the project has been to develop, with the help of Marcus Walldén,two shooting targets from idea to finished product. These two shooting targets,Plate Rack Target and Dueling Tree, would each be equipped with a mechanicalresetting system but will in the future have the ability to be provided with anelectronic resetting system.The project from the client was divided into two theses. One of these two, writtenby Marcus Walldén, focused on the tripod parts and the overall design work forboth Plate Rack Target and Dueling Tree. The thesis that is presented in thisreport have focused on resetting systems, the design of protective plates and otherperipherals for both shooting targets.This work has primarily been in CAD environment where design, constructionand development has been given free rein.

Sammanfattning Detta arbete beskriver de studier som utförts vid implementering av Last Planner planeringsmetod, i projektet att bygga LKAB:s flotationsanläggning i Svappavaara. Studien har bedrivits vid institutionen för Samhällsbyggnad i Luleå och LKAB:s malmförädlingsverk i Svappavaara. Arbetet inleder med en granskning av litteratur om teorier och grundtankar om Lean Construction. Filosofin bakom Lean Construction bygger på att avlägsna alla processer som inte skapar mervärde för kunden. Tankegångarna kommer från den Japanska bilindustrin och då främst från Toyotas framgångsrika produktionssystem TPS.

Despite this, the number of reported occupational sicknesses caused by vibrations is as low as 1, 4 percent.JM Ltd. is one of the largest constructional companies in Sweden. Their main business is new housing and development of residential areas. God quality and low impact on the environment is a part of great importance in the company?s long-term goals.

SammanfattningLean Production är ett tankesätt för att effektivisera en verksamhet med fokus på att eliminera slöseri, skapa engagemang hos medarbetare samt ständiga och systematiska förbättringar. För att genomföra detta finns ett antal Lean-verktyg som initialt tagits fram för bilindustrin vilken är en typisk verkstadsindustri och karakteriseras av diskreta produkter. Processindustrin skiljer sig från verkstadsindustrin genom sitt kontinuerliga materialflöde. Det är därför inte helt naturligt att tillämpa Lean-verktygen på processindustrin.Rapportens syfte är att undersöka vilka av dessa verktyg som anses vara lämpliga att använda i processindustrin och då specifikt inom den svenska pappersindustrin. Det görs genom att studera redan befintlig vetenskaplig litteratur inom området Lean i processindustrin, för att sedan kategorisera de vanligaste verktygen efter lämplighet för användning inom pappersindustrin.

This master thesis has been a product realization process. Having BRIO:s walking cart as thestaring point the purpose was to further develop the principle of such products and at the sametime broaden their sector of use. The final result is to be regarded as a complete solutionmeant as a foundation for further development at the BRIO Company. The product aims tosatisfy the demands and needs of the target group called theon the go parent. Trends, qualityand purchase power are features that characterize this particular target group.The project resulted in a walking stool namedBRIO Circus after its source of inspiration.

VSEM project and the need for a more efficient way of handling requirements andinformation are highly apparent.The overall objective of this thesis is divided into two parts:1. To identify criteria/factors leading to a successful introduction of an informationmanagement system.2. To develop an implementation process for a requirement management system ?the first step towards a PLM system in EE development at VCC.This will be done through interviews with employees, a literature review and an analysisof studies of three earlier projects within VCC.The conclusion of this study shows the great need for change in work methods fordesigners handling information and requirements. An implementation process has beenidentified with guidelines on how to handle different phases of the process.
