Bakgrund och problem: Denna studie handlar om varuhantering och lagerstyrning av kolonialvaror på Coop Extra Norremark i Växjö. Studien var ett uppdrag från Coop Extras butikschef, som ansåg att matbutiken var i behov av att effektivisera butikens varuhantering och lagerstyrning av kolonialvaror. Situationen på Coop Extra innebar ett överfyllt och ostrukturerat varulager, vilket gjorde att det gick åt mer tid än nödvändigt att hantera varor samt att mer kapital bands i butikens lager än vad som var behovet.Lean har förekommit inom tillverkningsindustrin sedan 1980-talet. I början av 2000-talet spred sig Lean till tjänsteföretag och offentlig verksamhet. Lean innebar då produktutveckling och effektivisering av organisationens olika processer, för att generera en högre kundnytta.

This work of examination describes an environmentally oriented product development aimed to develop new packaging with improved environmental and sale aspects of the products from Primus Sweden AB. The report covers the design process from the first collection of facts to the final results with a description of all methods involved in the work. The focus has been on a clear environmental awareness and the report contains a deepening of the concept life cycle assessment (LCA) for product development. In the process, the consumers? opinions of the brand Primus and environmental profiling formed the basis for the packaging to communicate the right values such as quality, technology, environmental awareness and adventurer?s first choice.The deepening of the life cycle analysis shows that composting and other alternative treatment of the biological cycle is not possible to implement in a satisfactory way in the design process.The work results in two final concepts.

AbstractThis is a thesis done in cooperation with the firm Somas and University of Karlstad. The project is an independent final examination part of the program in Innovation and DesignEngineering comprising 22.5 points, and performed by Mia Myrén Zreloff during spring term 2012. In parallel and collaboration, Fredrik Kjellin performs a similar job for the same company and with the same extent, but for the Program in Mechanical Engineering.The client and supervisor at the company have been Magnus Jansson and Anders Josefsson. At Karlstad University has technical supervisor been Hans Johansson, and in the design- and development process it was Monica Jakobsson. Examiner has been Fredrik Thuvander, professor in the Faculty of Technology and Science at Karlstad University.The mission has been to make a basis work for the company's own development and make a computational model to calculate, visualize and implement materials and other solutions in the manufacture of the company's ball valves.The project has undergone three major phases that included thorough study of the company, production, the problem and product.

During the year 2014, Artex AB has worked to launch a new product whose function is to locally purify the air. The product is a headboard and its purpose is to give the user clean air while sleeping. The air purifier has different speeds and it`s up to the user to choose which effect that will be on. To get the best experience of the product as possible, the air purifier shall be controlled by a mobile application. In that way the user can increase and decrease the fan speed, even when the user not is home.

The product "urinal funnel" for women has fascinated me for a long time. Not only because it solves a practical problem in a simple way, but also because it challenges our definitions of gender and behaviour. This report describes the process of making a new design for a funnel, taking material, ergonomics and construction in consideration. It also includes structuring a launching of the product in Sweden. It starts up with a large amount of information gathering, both by interviewing testgroup-perticipants, but also by researching and evaluating the range of existing funnels.

The objective of this thesis is to map the resources and methods used at the department OPPC, at AstraZeneca, and derived from that give suggestions on possible solutions that will increase their productivity.Mapping of the product flow, as well as gathering of process data, has mainly been done using observations, but consultation with the process technicians has also played a great role. Further have theoretical methods been used, based on literature studies, within the areas of Lean production and statistics.The work has incrementally gone forward since the steps taken has been restricted by the irregularity of production which led to the need of creating a fictive production flow. This has affected the lead-time calculations in the way that they are meant to give an indication, rather than an absolute truth, on how different methods described shall be used.The current state analysis showed multiple areas of improvement when defining capacity as value adding time in relation to total throughput time. Using the "standard scenario" as a basis showed that the actual production flow only constituted 50% of the total project time. Further it showed that the workflow contained more non-value adding activities than value adding activities, which is a result of how the work is distributed within the department as well as in the different projects.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva och skapa förståelse för hur tjänsteföretag tillämpar några av Leans principer som egentligen har sitt ursprung i tillverkningssektorn, främst med avseende på principerna eliminering av slöseri samt ständiga förbättringar.Metod: Studien antar ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv, där en kvalitativ ansats och abduktion är grundläggande för studien. För att skapa djupare förståelse används flerfallstudie där två tjänsteorganisationer studeras med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Slutligen genomförs en analys utifrån teoretiskt framarbetade teman och kategorier.Teori: Inledningsvis redogörs för vad Lean production innebär, för att därefter mer detaljerat gå in på Lean productions huvudsakliga principer som är eliminering av slöseri och ständiga förbättringar. Därtill även kundvärde och de åtta slöserierna som hör till principen eliminering av slöseri.Resultat & Slutsats: Studiens resultat tyder på att de grundläggande principerna från Lean production är tillämpbara inom tjänstesektorn, men att de måste anpassas till det egna tjänsteföretaget för att kundnöjdhet och effektivitet skall uppnås.Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Det finns möjlighet till att vidare utveckla studien och undersöka skillnader och likheter mellan fler företag samt undersöka om det går att utforma en övergripande modell för Lean productions principer inom tjänstesektorn.Uppsatsens bidrag: Denna studie har genomförts med syftet att bidra till kunskapsområdet för Lean inom tjänstesektorn på grund av den brist på forskning som råder inom området. Studien bidrar även till att undersöka tillämpbarheten av Lean productions principer inom tjänsteföretag som kan vara till nytta för andra tjänsteföretag. .

A reorganization that is popular among companies today is Lean. Lean is aconcept that was developed within the Japanese automotive industry, but has evolvedfrom the Japanese shop floor and is now a concept that can be found in, for example,several Swedish municipalities.Purpose: The purpose of this study was to create an understanding of why the conceptLean may have difficulty getting a hold in the in the long term.Methodology: The study was done with a qualitative research approach and through anabductive approach. As we intended to create an understanding, of what potentialbarriers that may affect that a Lean work, in some cases, does not become a long-termcondition, it seemed natural to choose a hermeneutic approach to knowledge. Theempirical data collected via individual unstructured interviews, through a groupinterview, and by non-participant observations.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att se hur effektiva metoder och resurshantering påverkaroffentliga förvaltningar i Borås. Vi för även en diskussion om hur implementeringen avstyrmodeller såsom Lean har för inverkan på förvaltningarna. Uppsatsen har genomförts medutgångspunkt från valda teorier samt intervjuer med administratörer anställda på offentligaförvaltningar i Borås. Detta för att få ett medarbetarperspektiv på hur effektivitets- ochresurshanteringstänket har yttrat sig för de och deras arbetsplatser.De offentliga förvaltningarna som valt att införa styrmodeller såsom Lean i sina verksamheterhar blivit mer kostnadseffektiva och resurssnåla. En märkbar förändring är införandet av nyteknik i förvaltningarna.

Sjukvårdsrådgivningen via telefon är väl förankrat hos Sveriges befolkning då det varje år rings många samtal dit. Avsaknaden av visuell kontakt och den begränsade tillgången till problemet gör att triage och rådgivning försvåras. Telefonsjuksköterskan kan inte ta del av den icke verbala kommunikationen såsom exempelvis ansiktsuttryck, kroppshållning eller sjukdomstecken på kroppen. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att belysa faktorer som har betydelse för telefonsjuksköterskans triage och rådgivning i kontakt med den vårdsökande. I litteraturstudien som grund för resultatet har metoden varit att granska fjorton artiklar med kvalitativ ansats ur ett sjuksköterskeperspektiv.

En omfattande datorisering inom företagsvärlden har skapat ett beroende av informationssystem (IS) som kan hantera och lagra information efter verksamhetens behov. Genom att investera i nya och mer effektiva IS kan verksamheter skaffa sig verktyg där de effektivt kan prioritera och allokera de resurser som finns tillgängliga. Detta gör det möjligt att omdefiniera arbetsprocesser och sysselsättningsrutiner och därmed spara arbetskraft genom att automatisera och eliminera en del uppgifter. Dock finns det en del faktorer som påverkar implementeringen av IS, exempelvis brist på resurser, teknik och kompetens. Dessa faktorer gör det många gånger mer problematiskt att utveckla IS i utvecklingsländer.Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur en organisation med begränsade resurser, kan effektiviseras genom att använda sig utav Lean IT.

I will write about product placement in film from a Swedish point of view. This entails writing about Swedish films with different types of product placements, not only how they are done but also discuss how they succeed from a sales perspective. In my earlier work I have written about the product placement of watches. In this thesis I focus on the film series about the Swedish agent Carl Hamilton, since here you can see how Swedish film has developed during the past 30 years with regard to product placements. Both world politics and the concrete placements are illustrated in a clear way.

This thesis was developed as an assignment from Ludosity Interactive where the goal was to develop a copy of the Xbox Live Indie Games-marketplace from the Xbox 360. Ludosity Interactive had a necessity to easily test a game's attractiveness to potential customers using testing people from outside the company in a simulated Xbox Live Indie Games test environment; excluding this developed system there is no other way to do such an analysis without actually releasing the game on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace and then analyze the resulting sales from the product.The finished system had to be similar to the original system to the degree that a user could see past the interface itself and use the system just as he/she would have used the real marketplace. It also had to be easy to change and add games to the system so that Ludosity Interactive easily could show the games and the data that they deemed interesting for their tests.
