Majoriteten av förändringsarbeten misslyckas på sikt. Trots det utgör bevarandet av dessa en liten del av forskningen inom förändringsarbete och baseras på organisatoriskt perspektiv. Ur ett sociologiskt perspektiv ses individen som central i bevarandet av förändringar. Av den anledningen syftar uppsatsen till att undersöka drivkrafter bakom bevarandet ur ett individuellt perspektiv. I besvarandet har vi utgått från teorier som beaktar långsiktighet, vilka har resulterat i nio potentiella drivkrafter som prövats genom en fallstudie på en svensk akutmottagning och deras arbete med ständiga förbättringar (modifiering av Lean).

The purpose of this study is from a case study develop a model that aims to cost effectively improve productivity in a manufacturing production process. The study highlights the importance of having knowledge about customer needs and using a holistic process perspective when improving productivity to identify the relations between the process stations and by this find problems that cause waste and losses in productivity. The Main problem: How small-sized manufacturing companies can create and sustain a stable position in the industry, which leads to profitability.Purpose: The purpose with this essay is to compare two small-sized manufacturing companies, Datek Industrielektronik AB and AB Micatrone to study which strategical resources each company possesses. At the same time analyse if the strategical resources are to be consider as sustainable competitive advantage.Method: A case study has been implemented in two small-sized manufacturing companies. The collected primary data derives from semi-structured interviews.Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework is based on The Resource-based view where the independent variables are the VRIO-model, resource tree and external resources. The dependable variable is sustainable competitive advantage.Empirical foundation: The empirical foundation is based on the compilation of the few conducted interviews with Datek and Micatrone.Results & Conclusion: Datek and Micatrone show both similarities and differences in what creates their sustainable competitive advantage. The management of both companies creates according to the VRIO-model sustainable competitive advantage.

När organisationer implementerar ett nytt ERP-systemligger deras intresse påkonkurrensfördelar och ekonomiska vinster. Det fokuseras på vilka fördelar systemet kan georganisationeni form av snabbare ledtider, reducerade kostnader, bättre beslutsstöd och resursöversikt. Dessa konkreta fördelar ärävenlättare att hålla koll på och att mäta. Svårigheter finns i att hantera fördelar som systemet kan ge användarna. Implementation av ett nytt, verksamhetsövergripande, ERP-system kan påverka kärnprocesser, arbetsmönster och uppgifter.

Effektivitet är för många organisationer ett begrepp som förknippas med att utnyttja sina resurser maximalt. Detta är något som även är märkbart inom svenskt skogsbruk, där man idag är mycket mån om att vara resurseffektiv i sin verksamhet. Det finns dock fler innebörder av effektivitet som begrepp. Toyota, med sitt Toyota Production System, och lean production har bevisat att en flödeseffektiv process med kundfokusering kan vara ett framgångsrikt arbetssätt. Denna studie tar upp lean production som teori i svenskt skogsbruk och knyter an denna mot virkesanskaffningsprocessen.

Detektion av gasläckor används i en mängd olika applikationer som till exempel kvalitetskontroll av kylskåp, lokalisering av skador på kablar och lokalisering av bränsleläckor i bränsletankar.Denna rapport undersöker förbättring av detektionsalgoritmen i en existerande vätgasdetektor.CUSUM algoritmen är en enkel men kraftfull metod för att snabbt detektera små ändringar i nivån av en signal. Denna metod är anpassad till det dynamiska beteendet i sensorn som används för att spåra vätgasläckorna och även utvärderad på omfattande mätningar utförda på läckor med kända storlekar. Resultaten visar att användning av den föreslagna detektionsalgoritmen innebär en betydande ökning av detektorns prestanda. Särskilt bra blir resultatet på små läckor..

Synen på processtänkande och dess möjligheter har under senare årtionden ökat markant i intresse, däremot har ekonomisystemen inte förändrats i samma takt. Granlund (2001) menar att trots det starka trycket att förändra kalkyleringen använder många företag sig fortfarande av traditionella påläggskalkyler med direkt lön som fördelningsbas. Kaplan & Johnsson belyste redan 1987 problemet och argumenterade för hur traditionella kalkylsystem ger en allt för aggregerad och snedvrängd bild av verkligheten.
