AimThe Swedish government has allocated a milliard Swedish Crowns on the project ?Ett handslag med idrotten?, (A handshake with sports), to make it possible for more children to participate in sports. The project goes on for four years and my work is an evaluation of the projects that have received fundings from Gästriklans Idrottsförbund for the second year. One aim is to see how many pupils that have been involved with the projects and especially the numbers of pupils earlier not active in a sport club and the number of girls. It is interesting to see what?s in common in the sport clubs that have had a large number from those two groups.

In this essay there will be four text books from grade 1 studied, the first one are from the year 1976 and it will be going forward to the year 2012. The aim of this study is to see how the genders are depicted and represented, as well as what roles the genders are given. I do also want to see if there is a notable change in this over time. I will be doing a study based on the quantity of the contents, and I will also be doing a critical discourse analysis.The result of the study showed that there were more gender-based constructions that referred to women in all of the four books, which indicates that women are represented more often in these reading books. It is most common to portray the genders in their stereotypical roles, which again are present in society, but sometimes these roles are depart from what?s present in society.

In connection with the property crises in many countries, caused by the financial crises, people are now more aware of the risks involved in poor property-investments. The unusually cold winters along with extreme prices of electricity in Sweden in recent years has also contributed to increased interest in energy-efficient buildings.The process of developing a modern family home in Kiruna, Sweden is presented the first part of this paper. The house has been designed to withstand very high stresses from snow, low energy consumption as well as a high standard of living comfort. Aspects of the house covered here involves everything from construction, heating and ventilation to sanitation. Each of these areas is presented based on their underlying, scientific methods or theories.

Italy is the third largest market in Europe with a population of almost 58 million. The country is the tenth most important market for Swedish sales. Italy has a fairly good economy at the moment and the forecast tells of an increasing strength during coming years. Despite all of this, Sweden is exporting a fairly small amount of wood to Italy. Only around 2,3 % of all Sweden?s wood export goes to Italy.

I dagens samhälle är bolagsstyrningen ett aktuellt ämne. Begreppet bolagsstyrning avser tankegångar och bestämmelser om hur bolag skall ägas och styras. När obalans råder mellan dessa bestämmelser skapas icke-fungerande näringsliv samt marknadens förtroende för bolagen och deras förvaltning drastiskt minimeras.I Sverige implementerades år 2005 Svensk kod för bolagsstyrning ? ett ramverk med målet att bidra till en bättre och effektivare bolagsstyrning samt för att stärka förtroendet för bolag på kapitalmarknaden samt den svenska och internationella allmänheten.Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka i vilken utsträckning användes Svensk kod för bolagsstyrning i svenska börsnoterade bolag år 2011, samt se om det fanns samband mellan undersökta bolagens ägarstruktur och deras tillämpning av Koden.  För att fullgöra uppsatsens syfte har en kombination av kvantitativa och kvalitativa ansatser används. Den deduktiva metoden bidrog till att studien utgick från de relevanta till bolagsstyrningen teorier för att sedan besvara de aktuella frågorna.

The Smart Grid technology has during the last decade been established as a way to create a greater flexibility on the electricity grid that will be needed as the development moves towards an increased share of renewable primary energy sources in the electricity production. One part of the Smart Grid technology is the ability to shift loads in time, to adapt to either price or emissions, known as Demand Response. This project, which was conducted at KTH in collaboration with the consulting corporation Capgemini, examines the economic, environmental and social aspects of the Demand Response technology. In the project, three household products are used in a model that derives the potential savings in costs and emissions of CO2e. The results show that the actual savings measured in SEK are small, but that the savings measured in percent can be as high as 20 percent. Reduction of CO2e emissions is slightly lower.

The trend in the transport sector is moving towards eco-friendly, fast and convenient transportation,this results in higher demands on railway transports. To meet the demand and quality requirements,the Swedish railway network will have to expand. The cheapest way is to expand little by little butwhat impact do these small steps actually have on the capacity?This thesis examines the interactions of different improvement for the capacity on a single-trackrailway. Through simulations in the software tool RailSys this report studies what effect block signals,extra meeting stations and rebuilding existing two track passing loops to three track loops have onthe capacity.

This thesis investigates if a system for small scale electricity production located in anurban environment can be profitable. The work has been divided up into two parts,one extensive literature study and one case study. The purpose of the literature studywas to investigate the area, resulting in a choice of which technology to be studied indepth in a case study.In the case study a system containing small scale wind turbines and photovoltaicsmounted on Gränby Centrums roof was examined. From data containing wind power,wind direction and total irradiation, possible production from a system weresimulated. Three products of each technology were examined in the simulations.From the simulated production an economic analysis was carried out, this toinvestigate if a system is profitable.

ProblemEfter det senaste decenniets framträdande av ett alltmer CSR- uppmärksamt samhälle har företag i en större utsträckning aktivt börjat arbeta och integrera CSR i sina verksamheter. Ny forskning visar på att CSR kan ha en påverkan på ett företags börsvärde. (www.newsdesk.se) Det finns dock inga klara bevis på hur CSR åtaganden påverkar mindre bolag såsom de listade på OMX small cap. Att detta inte är påvisat vetenskapligt kan vara en av flera orsaker till att det fortfarande finns en skepticism mot att implementera CSR i mindre bolag. SyfteSyftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om det finns ett ekonomiskt mervärde för bolag på OMX small cap att implementera CSR i sin verksamhet.

The purpose of this essay was to examine whether small businesses can avoid ac-counting crimes with a well-conducted internal control system. The questions we asked ourselves was, whether and if so, companies can prevent this from happening by using a internal control.In this essay we used a qualitative approach. Essential information was given to us from four different interviewees. We also worked from an inductive approach which means that we interviewed people without any earlier research to build on. The method also had a hermeneutical approach, which means that we made different interpretations based on the reference framework and the empirics.After the study had been carried out, we concluded that all evidence from this essay suggested that even small businesses need an internal control to protect their business.

I den här rapporten undersöks med utgångspunkt från empiriska data om momentumstrategier har genererat en överavkastning på Stockholmbörsens Large Cap-lista mellan februari 2000 och februari 2010. Vi undersöker även för vilka tidshorisonter som effekten är starkast, samt vilken påverkan transaktionskostnader och riskjustering har på överavkastningen. Resultatet visar på en statistiskt säkerställd överavkastning för sex (6) av de totalt sexton (16) momentumstrategier som ingått i studien. Dessutom visade alla övriga momentumstrategier en icke statistiskt säkerställd överavkastning. Effekten ter sig starkast för urvalsperioder samt investeringsperioder på 3-6 månader, vilket är inom det intervall på 3-12 månader som Jagadeesh och Titman (1993) fann i sin studie.

Introduction: The number of hearing impairments in Sweden is increasing. The largest increase is seen in ages 25-44. There are reasons to believe that these impairments are noise induced. Leisure time noise is not controlled in the same manner that industrial noise is. An ongoing conflict between city council officials and rock club owners, musicians and music event organizers about sound levels at smaller live music clubs exceeding the national sound level restrictions created the need for an acoustic intervention project.

AbstractThe purpose of my study is to examine how preschool children experience nature and how the educationalists at the preschool can make nature more exciting and support the children?s personal growth. I have also studied what the educationalists of the preschool do and what they can do to make nature more interesting and playful for the children. Observations and interviews have been conducted at a preschool in a small town. The preschool is situated close to nature, that is, close to a small forested area.

The current curriculum requires a well functioning school library and an active use of it. In junior school grades 1-3 the children primarily learn basic skills. Knowledge about libraries and how to use them and different media is part of these skills. Therefore my intention was to investigate how school libraries in junior schools look, how they are used in the training and how they could be used in junior school education. I focus on the pedagogic role of the school library and the library as information center.I begin by going through what the school law and the curriculum say - or do not say - about the use of the school library.

Analysts at Venture Capital firms of today experience troubles when they try to explicate the intrinsic value, which they see in their investments. The traditional valuation models do not account the value of flexibility and analysts have to Through studies at a Venture Capital firm in Sweden, I have analyzed if Real Option analysis could help them to explicate the intrinsic value that they see.With the help from a decision tree, analysts can identify the hidden option values embedded in the investment. I find that real options can be a helpful tool for Venture Capital companiesto clarify the intrinsic values that they see in their investments. Real option analysis is however not a competitor to traditional value methods, it is rather a compliment..
