Att arbeta med konflikthantering : implementering och undersökning av en form av fokusgruppsamtal i skolan
I have chosen an action research approach for this essay. I want to incorporate a method of conflict management in the work of the personnel at a school and also discuss their thoughts and experience in conflict management. I wanted to incorporate modern knowledge about constructive conflict management for everyday use and I stress that if we can evolve these skills among the personnel in schools then we have a better chance of helping children with deviant behavior which often end up in conflict because of it. This will also help all the other children and personnel to manage conflict situations in a better way. I want to introduce a new way of thinking about conflict management which in many ways is different from how it is today. Briefly the method which I advocate revolves around paying attention to every ones basic needs and says that everyone can win and no one has to loose. he main purpose of this essay has been to find out if focus group conversations is a viable method for improving conflict management in the school system. Several of the participants has in their evaluations written that it was a rewarding and interesting way to work.
Paradoxens styrka och kraft : En studie av paradoxala inslag i Samuel Backetts verk i väntan på Godot
AbstractThe purpose of this investigation is to find out how the pupils can discover and to feel joy in their creative art activity and also to believe in their own ability. The aim is to figure out if creative art activity is able to raise the pupil?s self-image. By literature, pedagogue interviews, and interviews with pupils at the age of ten years old and by action research is the way that I have searched for an answer for my question. The main result is that fantasy, creativity, courage and lust are important parts to develop in the job of raising the self-image.
Ledarskap och delaktighet : en fallstudie om ledarskapets betydelse för medarbetarnas delaktighet
Uppsatsens övergripande syfte är att studera fenomenen ledarskap och delaktighet i en kommunal verksamhet, mer specifik avses att undersöka ledarskapets betydelse för medarbetarnas delaktighet. Avsikten med föreliggande studie är således att studera vad i ledarskapet som ledarna och medarbetarna uppfattar påverkar delaktigheten, och hur dessa faktorer påverkar delaktigheten, stödjande eller hindrande. Den teoretiska referensramen presenterar en forskningsöversikt över ledarskapsforskning, delaktighetsbegreppets komplexitet samt faktorer i ledarskapet som påverkar medarbetarnas delaktighet.Empirin har inhämtats genom tio kvalitativa intervjuer på två enheter inom en kommun belägen i Östergötland. Resultaten visar fler olika faktorer i ledarskapet som påverkar medarbetarnas delaktighet. Faktorerna som framkommit i studien som verkar stödjande är; visa intresse, förtroende, tillgänglighet, tillåtande, belöning och engagemang.
Inflytande och gränssättning i förskolan : En undersökning kring hur fem pedagoger förhåller sig till inflytande och gränssättning i förskolan
This qualitative study is aimed to find out how teachers at one preschool relate to influence and boundaries. This has been carried out through qualitative interviews whose contents have been analyzed and processed. The theoretical framework of the study is the philosophy of John Dewey derived from Pragmatism, where thought and action is seen as one where the child needs to try and experiment to learn. We are two authors who stand for this study in which we both were present at all times for the interviews.The interviews revealed that teachers believe that influence is important for children's self-esteem, to become a good citizen of the community and to learn that certain things are expected. It also emerged that influence combined with boundaries is seen as very important.It appeared that the teachers look at influence in preschool in three different ways - influence here and now, influence in the future and influence for the children self-esteem.

The study is a qualitative survey with the purpose to through interviews with Employment Office social workers examine their perception of possibilities and obstacles in the employment market for immigrants. This purpose is specified through two specific problems; how are cultural and ethnic affiliations portrayed in relation to what is perceived as Swedish in the communication with Employment Office social workers and whether they reckon that the specifications in the employment market are pragmatically or normatively motivated. The materials are presented using a social constructivist perspective and in relation to previously conducted research and our chosen theory. The results are presented and analyzed in themes. The main conclusions drawn from the interviews are that it primarily is the individual prerequisites that are central, but that structural factors also affect the entry into the employment market.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the role of librarian in order to illustrate how the librarians work, how their competence and education have changed and developed during the last decade, and ultimately to see what the role of librarian looks like in the 21^st century. After describing the librarians work, competence and education in the 21^st century, we discuss whether or not the changes that have arisen during the last decennium have affected the possibilities for librarianship to develop into an accepted profession. The method of investigation is a qualitative analysis of printed sources. As a basis of the discussion and analysis Andrew Abbotts theory of professions is used. We also use Per Tengblads analysis model, which includes six important steps in analysing the professionalism of an occupation.
Effektivisering av urvalsprocesser vid analysering av björnspillning : Ett förslag till den svenska förvaltningen av brunbjörn Ursus arctos
The aim with this report is to formulate a strategic method to optimize selection processes of DNA-samples from a faeces inventory to identify as many individuals in as few analyzes as possible, and by that keep down the costs of brown bear management. Brown bear management in Sweden founds today on results from faeces inventory and is substantially led by the county administration boards. Data from the years of 2004 and 2009´s inventories in Västerbotten was used to test and evaluate different methods in selection processes of which faeces that should be sampled. Comparison were made between making selection by chance, by spatial distribution and by calculating variations in logistic regressions coefficient b, in other words bear density and probability in finding same individual in several faeces. We can show making selection by chance is the most uncertain method.

The main purpose of this essay is to investigate the legal position for employers concerning protection against what employees can express about one?s employer in social media.It may regard dissatisfaction concerning employment, tort or so-called whistleblowing. The spread through social media may be comprehensive and thus cause more damage to the employer.Employees within the public sector as well as in the private are protected by the liberty of speech, which is constitutional, even the protection of sources or the right to criticize can offer some protection. This gives the employees the possibility to widely express themselves in private social media as long as it can?t be classified as a violation, which per se is very rare.However, certain differences between the both sectors will be pointed out.There are still no constitutional rights regarding social media, but a grey area has emerged concerning the legal position.

Choir singing is one of the most popular national movements in Sweden but the knowledge of the meaning of this activity for health and well being from the choir singers? own experiences is limited. The purpose of this study was therefore to develop useful knowledge about the meaning of choir singing for participating persons from a health perspective. The data was collected through qualitative interviews with six different choir singers and went after that through a comprehensive analysis which resulted in four main categories: an oasis in the existence; possibilities of meetings and solidarity; goals and musical development; and physical and emotional well-being. The results showed that the choir activity represents a place where the singers can escape the demands and the stress factors of everyday life and where they get the opportunity of meaningful relations with other people.

Strävan efter jämställdhet : En studie om medvetenhet kring jämställdhet inom Eskilstuna kommun
Syftet med denna studie var att se hur pass medvetna medarbetarna på vuxenförvaltningen inom Eskilstuna kommun var om de jämställdhetsmål som finns i kommunens egna styrdokument om jämställdhet. En webbaserad enkätundersökning har genomförts där 130 enkäter skickades ut. Respondenterna har fått svara på olika frågor runt styrdokumentet och fått ge förslag på förbättringar. En kvantitativ metod har använts och materialet har analyserats utifrån det teoretiska perspektivet social konstruktivism samt tidigare forskning. Tidigare forskning har visat att det kan vara svårt att implementera en handlingsplan eller styrdokument i stora organisationer på ett tillfredsställande sätt. Resultatet av den genomförda undersökningen visar att få av respondenterna är medvetna om att styrdokumentet finns och bara ett fåtal har läst dokumentet och är medvetna om målen som finns uppsatta..
Bakgrundskontroller i svenskt näringsliv - En studie av kontrollförfarandet vid rekrytering till ledningsgrupper
Changes in the labour market combined with an increased media coverage of managers, have resulted in the rise of a new human due diligence industry. The use of background checks has lately become increasingly popular on the Swedish market and many companies use it as an evaluation tool when recruiting. This study investigates differences in the background screening procedure for recruitment to executive management positions and lower level positions. It also aims to answer why background checks are conducted, using a cultural and a functional perspective. The report takes an abductive approach and data has primarily been gathered through a survey directed to large Swedish companies.
Att skapa kunskap i informationshavet : Om hur text kan struktureras för att skapa lärande i intranät
Creating instructions is not just about words, but also about text structure. A company creates many instructions to document their management systems, which often are presented through an intranet. This study examines how the text can be presented to make content understandable and give employees the knowledge to take action. An interview survey was made at Skanska Sweden and their management system "Vårt sätt att arbeta". The results show that it is mainly about creating an overview of the system and creating separations between different text sections.

Nytta eller bara pappersprodukt?Engelsk titel: Action Program ?Useful or just a paper product?Alla elever i grundskolan, som riskerar att inte få betyg, har rätt till ett åtgärdsprogram. Det är lagstadgat och inte något som skolan kan välja bort. Däremot är det svårt att veta om åtgärdsprogrammen alltid används på ett bra sätt och om det har någon effekt på de elever som får ett upprättat.Syftet med mitt examensarbete är att, genom intervjuer med lärare och specialpedagoger undersöka hur lärare formulerar, genomför och utvärderar elevers åtgärdsprogram. Ett annat syfte är att undersöka hur ett åtgärdsprogram i skolan kan vara till hjälp för en enskild elevs utveckling.Resultatet av min undersökning visar att pedagoger uppfattar tanken med åtgärdsprogram som bra, men att de skriver dem för att de är skyldiga att göra det.

This essay aim to clear the regulations that adjusts the use of non-compete clauses in contracts of employement. The historical developement shows tendencies that more employees have contracts that includes non-compete clauses. This developement does not always correspond with what is allowed concerning these clauses. Non-compete clauses is adjusted by the regulations in the collective agreement known as the agreement of 1969. The agreement has also been accepted outside its regular field of application.
