To build a sustainable future should we first understand that; every aspect of our daily lives can affect the environment. This corresponds to about 220 million MWh / day.Energy consumption is one of the main reasons for increased greenhouse gases when the reduction of this consumption has a great demand worldwide.In order to prevent the energy that consumed the buildings must be energy efficient but there is a conflict between radon ventilation and energy conservation in a building, given that ventilation can consume as much energy (currently 29-59% of energy-efficient houses use), especially in a cold climate as in Norway.

This study's main objective was to identify adolescents participation in alternative sport activities and which kind of physical activity that was preferred by adolescents who didn't had any earlier experience of sport clubs. The study combined interviews and surveys with the purpose to get both adolescents and sport leaders perspective. A total of five interviews were performed and fifty-four surveys was collected. The results showed that adolescents already physical active were those who participated in alternative sport activities. The purpose of this study was to implement an energy analysis and environmental evaluation of the property Hemsta 12:16 in GÀvle. Based on two different methods, Energy Balance calculation and Environmental Building, the result of the property's energy use, energy performance and environmental impacts are presented. Except that, measures to reduce final energy consumption are presented.      The proposed measures can reduce energy usage by 100 400 kWh / year, which represents a decrease of 18% of the present energy usage. Syftet med denna studie var att testa och beskriva aspekter av reliabilitet och validitet av tvÄ versioner av Fatigue Severity Scale (FSS) pÄ svenska, FSS 1 och FSS 2, vid mÀtning av trötthet hos patienter med systemisk lupus erythematosus (SLE). Metod: TvÄ grupper av patienter med stabil SLE, lÄg sjukdomsaktivitet och liten organskada inkluderades. Diskriminant validitet för FSS 1 testades pÄ 32 kvinnor med SLE och 35 friska kvinnor. Följande test av FSS 1 och FSS 2 gjordes pÄ 23 patienter med SLE: Tak- och golveffekter, intern konsistens, stabilitet över tid (test-retest) samt innehÄllsvaliditet uttryckt som faktoranalys och innehÄllsvaliditet sett ur patienternas perspektiv vad gÀller FSS 2. Today Holmen Skog finds and selects suitable thinning stands using data on upper height and basal area. These figures are often based on basic forest data that has been updated with the help of growth prediction models. The problem is that these figures are not always correct. The aim of this study was to investigate if a combination of data from a profiling laser and a digital camera for low elevation photography, can be used for collecting data on number of stems per ha, tree species mixture as well as basal area weighted mean height and upper height for stands. The possibility to use these data to assess the need for thinning cutting was also investigated.Laser data and aerial photographs were collected from a helicopter operating at an approximate height of 100 meters.

In this essay I have looked more closely at different means of grinding wood prior to the mass production and total dominance of the sandpaper in recent times as there is virtually no information to be found about this. I have also done a few replicas of how early sandpapers might have looked and as a part of creating these replicas I have also tested diffrent types of early glues. The conclusion of it all is that all the alternative grinding materials tested workd virtually as well as modern sandpaper, with some reservations. And the replicas, although rough, worked mostly well despite being constructed with simplicity in mind. This indicates that an artisan could easily construct sandpapers if he so wished..

The guest harbor on Utö, Utö GÀsthamn, is currently using electricity for heating all of the water used in the showers and taps. Because of the large amount of visitors, especially during the summer months, the hot water usage gets very high and that is also the case for the electrical bills. During the year of 2011 the cost of electricity for Utö GÀsthamn reached a total of 257 500 kr. Out of these 257 500 kr approximately 142 000 kr, 55 % of the total cost, were because of the water heating.The report is the result of a cooperation with SkÀrgÄrdsstiftelsen, the Green Islands-project and Utö GÀsthamn where the mutual goal is to dimension a solar energy system, to promote the sustainable development.Initially the different techniques for the solar energy system are researched.
