This report is a case study of ?citizen forums? in the municipality of Uppsala. These forums are arranged to make people participate more in local politics. The aim of this study is to find out if the opinions and the wishes coming from the citizens are later involved in the planning process etc made by the authorities. The aim is also to explain why or why not the opinions from the citizens are of any importance.My empirical data come from interviews that I have made with seven different respondents, both politicians and civil servants.

Mitt primära syfte är att få veta vad som hänt med studenterna som studerat sociologi i Kristianstad. Mina teoretiska utgångspunkter är att förklara vad kunskap i sociologi innebär. Målet med studien är att ta reda på om studenterna fått arbete inom området, efter avslutade studier i sociologi. Empiriska utgångspunkten är att försöka belysa problemet utifrån dagens arbetsmarknad och Högskola. Först gjordes en litteraturgenomgång, där söktes information angående sociologernas åsikter beträffande sociologin i samhället.

Skellefteå kommun införde 2005 källsortering av matavfall, de har vid två tillfällen sedan dess genomfört plockanalyser för att se hur noggrant invånarna sorterar sitt avfall. Man såg då att det utsorterade matavfallet hade hög renhet men i det brännbara fanns det fortfarande kvar en del matavfall. Detta bör förbättras.I denna uppsats undersöks hur källsorteringen har utvecklats, vilken information invånarna har fått och hur andra kommuner arbetar. Vilka slutsatser kan dras utifrån detta och vad kan man göra för att förbättra källsorteringen av matavfall?Information har samlats in från Skellefteå kommun och tre andra kommuner har tillfrågats hur de arbetar med källortering av matavfall.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att studera hur LVM-utredningar är skrivna utifrån ett klientperspektiv. Vi har studerat hur utredarna framställer klienterna och om klienterna får komma till tals i utredningarna. Vi har med kvalitativ diskursanalys som metod studerat fyra skriftliga LVM-utredningar skrivna i en kommun i Västsverige. Med stöd av diskursteorin har vi besvarat våra frågeställningar och vårt syfte genom att granska utredningarna. Vi har också utfört tre intervjuer med tre socialsekreterare i den kommun vi inhämtat material från.

Avyttringen och ombildningen av kommunala och privata bostadshyresfastigheter till bostadsrättsföreningar har blivit ett allt vanligare fenomen under de senaste decennierna. Främst sker avyttringen i Stockholms kommun. Syftet med denna uppsats är att mäta om prissättningen vid utförsäljning av bostadshyresfastigheter inom Stockholms kommun skiljer sig beroende på om säljaren varit privat eller ett allmännyttigt kommunalt bolag. För att undersöka detta har olika regressionsmodeller applicerats på data över fastighetsprisregistret under två mandatperioder. Resultatet visar en tydlig prisskillnad mellan kommunala avyttringar och privata inom samma områdesindelning.
