Bakgrund: Bakgrunden till denna litteraturstudie är den låga följsamhet som återfinns hos diabetespatienter både i Sverige och på andra ställen i världen, knappt en tredjedel av svenska diabetespatienter mäter sin blodglukos regelbundet. Flera studier på ännet har kommit fram till att det krävs framförallt bättre anpassning till individuella behov när det gäller utbildningen av diabetespatienter. Syfte: Syftet med studien är att identifiera koncept som publicerats i vetenskapliga tidskrifter och som har en bevisat positiv effekt på metabolismen hos typ 2 diabetiker. Metod: En litteraturgenomgång av ämnet gjordes för att hitta studier som uppvisade interventioner med positivt resultat på A IC värden. Resultat: Ett flertal studier hittades som visade upp kreativa försök att förbättra utbildningen av diabetespatienter eller anpassa den till förhållanden som inte tagits i beaktning vid dess utformning. Ingen av dessa interventioner gav sämre resultat än för platsen ordinarie diabetesvård och de flesta gav ett bättre resultat. Alla rapporter som hittades gällde interventioner utanför Skandinavien. Diskussion: Ingen av interventionerna kan implementeras direkt i Sverige utan modifikationer av varierande grad.

This thesis describes the work process and the results for the development of a newkind of ergonomic cleaning mop, ranging from basic concept to a virtually productionready digital prototype. The project was made in cooperation with, Ömer Altun, whowas also the project supervisor, and whose plan it is to launch this new product onthe market in a foreseeable future. The mop is meant to be used by both professionalcleaning staff and ordinary home users. What makes this product unique is that it hasa movable center piece that simplifies the cleaning under low furniture.The work began with the establishment of a product requirements specification andlater a study of similar products and existing functional models was conducted. Afterthese surveys the work began with refining the existing concepts in order to makethem more complete.

Wood for commercial use is harvested from forests using forest machines like harvesters which folds, branches and cuts trees and forwarders which transports logs to a landing area for further transport to a processing facility. Future forest machines have to be much gentler to the machine operators and forest soil than today's machines. Hence new machine solutions must be developed and tested. A practical way is to develop a physical scale model which can be used as a test-bed to incorporate different types of solutions for suspensions, cabin damping, tires and tracks, crane and overall architecture. The aim of this project was to develop such a 1:5 scale model of a forest machine, named as ?Skogbil.A scaling strategy was employed to arrive at important scale dimensions and specifications ofSkogbil which would be comparable to the full scale model.

The primary focus of this Master thesis is to study how industrial house building can be implemented during production of rental flats under the terms of public procurement. In order to determine a suitable working process as well as presenting a possible architectonic result of the process, a case study is carried through.A housing projekt is designed on a site i Malmö, where the commisioner is MKB Fastighets AB and the contractor is NCC Komponent with the industrial building system NCC Komplett. The focus of the design is to accomplish high quality apartments to a resonable price, as well as solving the overall scheme for the site.The housing projekt, Kv. Flaggskepparen, built on the consept of a single house model, used to handle the entire site, shows that the building system is well suited to accomodate the commisioners demands.In order to reach the best possible architectonic result with the building system, cooperation initiatded in an early stage of the process is neccesary.A model is proposed to handle the situation under the terms of public procurement. The model suggest that the geometrical design is mainly carried out after inquiry and that architectonic qualities should mainly be defined in a non geometrial way for inquiry..

Svenska Installationsproffsen AB är nordens största uthyrare av installationslösningar och underhåll inom AV-teknik, el, fiberoptik och styrsystem. De finns i Stockholm, Malmö, Linköping och Göteborg.Idag använder sig företaget vid montering av skärmar och projektorer av fästen från flera olika företag. För att kunna leverera en installationslösning som är mer skräddarsydd till kundernas önskemål och med ett bättre pris vill de ta fram en egen serie fästen. Detta är huvudincitament till examensarbetet. Målet är att ta fram en komplett lösning för ett projektorfäste i denna nya serie.Systematisk produktutvecklingsmetodik används för att få fram den bästa slutlösningen.

Detta arbete har bedrivits som ett produktutvecklingsprojekt där ett koncept på en testrigg för kolvpartiet i Hägglunds Drives hydraulmotor Compact CA har tagits fram. Kolvpartiet är en viktig del av hydraulmotorn vars prestanda påverkar hela motorns prestanda. Ett kolvparti består av en kolv och en kamrulle och i en motor finns det ett flertal kolvpartier, vilket gör det svårt att utföra mätningar på kolvpartiet på plats i motorn. Kolven trycker kamrullen mot en kamring som i sin tur gör så att kolven trycks mot väggen av den cylinder som kolven är placerad i. Detta leder till att ett vridmoment skapas mellan kamring och det cylinderblock som cylindrarna är placerade i.

The aim of this thesis is to find a statistical model that sort logs according to a predicted modulus of elasticity on the sawn boards. The input parameters for the model are X-ray variables from an X-ray scanner. For some of the log classes sawn at the sawmill it is desirable to have a narrow distribution of modulus of elasticity on the sawn boards. 250 pine logs from five different diameter classes were numbered and followed through the sawmill process. Log data were collected from X-ray and 3-D scanners in the log intake.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine how the introducing of municipal library plans has influenced some compulsory schools in Malmö. I wanted to know if the library plan is a possible way to improve the quality of the school library. Through qualitative interviews with four school librarians and four headmasters, I investigate their knowledge of the library plan and their opinion of the possibilities to realize the directions of the plan. The theoretical framework is based on a model of organizational culture by Bakka, Fivelsdal and Lindkvist.

Denna rapport innefattar ett examensarbete av Jimmy Kämäräinen Bergstrand, studerande på Mälardalens Högskola inom Ingenjörsprogrammet, Innovation och produktdesign.Uppdraget har utförts för företaget Nordic Gym i Bollnäs och utfördes mellan den 2/2-2012 till 9/6-2012.Det uppdrag Nordic Gym tilldelade författaren bestod av att konstruera ett prototypunderlag för en CrossFitstation samt ta fram information om vilka träningsövningar denna typ av konstruktion bör erhålla. Då Nordic Gym inte producerar liknande konstruktioner tidigare, vill de ha underlag för att kunna föra in detta i sin verksamhet.För att angripa problemet rätt utfördes noggranna förstudier i projektets uppstart. Genom fältstudier som bestod utav funktionstester och intervjuer skapades ett bra grundmaterial för att definiera problemet. I förstudierna utfördes även fördjupning inom träningen CrossFit och mycket ny kunskap togs in, allt ifrån träningsövningar till anatomi för att skapa en bred förståelse om träningsutförandet. För att skapa en förståelse om den nuvarande marknaden upprättades en konkurrentanalys där författaren kunde urskilja hur konkurrenter har löst det uppställda problemet.

I dagsläget existerar det mer än 500 filmfestivaler runtom i världen, flera av dessa festivaler erbjuder sina besökare ett annorlunda koncept och inriktning av filmgenre(Turan, 2002). Enligt den research som jag har gjort finns det dock ingen filmfestival som bygger sitt koncept kring blandningen av livemusik och film. Syftet med denna studie har varit att planera och genomföra en filmfestival som skapar förutsättningar för en annorlunda filmupplevelse där film och livemusik blandas samman. Jag har studerat befintlig litteratur kring film och filmfestivaler för att sedan kunna använda mig av den kunskapen i planering och genomförandet av produktionen. Jag har också genomfört en intervju med Johan Karlsson som är festivalchef för Flimmer Filmfestival, där de har experimenterat med film och livemusik.

Svenska Lantchips is a Swedish SME sized snack manufacturer. Being a small, medium sized, family-owned business with branches throughout the world, they make an interesting company for a case study. The case study I have conducted focuses on the internationalisation process of this family owned company ? how they, despite their size, find ways to keep up an unique business structure, designed for internationalisation.The aim of this essay is to compare Svenska Lantchips? internationalisation process with traditional internationalisation theories and see if these are compatible with this company. The theories used are The Uppsala Model, The Network Model, and The Born Global Theory, with The Born Global Theory representing the younger generation of models.After undertaking an in-depth interview with Michael Hansen, business developer at Svenska Lantchips, I collated a substantial amount of material, which I have used as the basis of this essay.

The aim of this thesis in Archival Science was to explore the concept of electronic archives and the challenges that might be encountered when attempting to move archives into a new digital age, as well as having a closer look at the term e-archive itself. Another aim was to explore how the OAIS reference model works in practice.To explore these questions I decided to do a case study on E-Arkiv Stockholm, a functioning e-archive. I decided to do a study on several documents that were created throughout the project, these included documents related to the planning of the archive, as well as the final report. My reason for this method was that these docu-ments came straight from reality and would give a clear and unbiased view of the project and it?s many aspects.Examination of the documents showed that the OAIS reference model and its concepts had been the foun-dation of much of the planning.

The interest in tiny wireless applications raises the demand for an integrated reference oscillator with the same performance as the macroscopic quartz crystal reference oscillators. The main challenge of the thesis is to prove that it is possible to build a MEMS based oscillator that approaches the accuracy level of existing quartz crystal oscillators. The MEMS resonator samples which Philips provides are measured and an equivalent electrical model is designed for them. This model is used in the simulations of the Pierce oscillator and the transresistance amplifier oscillator that are evaluated in this thesis. Finally the Pierce oscillator is implemented in the A BCD2 process and manufactured at Philips Semiconductors in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

Under vårterminen 2011 utfördes detta projekt som ett examensarbete i utbildningen Innovation och produktutdesign, högskoleingenjörsprogrammet. Projektet fokuserade på formgivning och omfattade10 veckors heltidsstudier. Denna rapport är en sammanställning av projektets genomförande. Med denna visas arbetsgången och de verktyg och metoder som använts vid genomförandet.Arbetet baserades på ett uppdrag av Lars Asplund som är professor i datateknik vid Mälardalenshögskola. Asplund hade utvecklat plattformen för produkten Swim Tau, som är tänkt som ett hjälpmedel för motionssimmare.
