EU is an organization that has expanded really fast during the last years. When you read about different EU membership processes you notice that some processes have been much faster than others. Spontaneously you think that this depends om that some countries have not been fulfilling the Copenhagen criteria. However, during the last decennium some scientists have written articles about motives that have affected the membership processes. The basic problem in my essay is how we are supposed to understand a membership process? Since I was interested in if I could see the same inconsistent behavior pattern in other membership processes I chose to study Turkey and Croatia.

Vilka är det egentligen som får komma till tals i medierna? Tidigare forskning visar att de som tillhör eliten i vårt samhälle får komma till tals i storstadspressen oftare än andra. Vi har undersökt hur källanvändningen förändrats över tid.För att avgränsa vår undersökning har vi valt att titta på vilka som får komma till tals i rapporteringen om bostadsmarknaden, och hur källanvändningen har förändrats över trettio år. Vi har studerat artiklar i Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Länstidningen Östersund och Östersundsposten.Metoden vi har använt oss av är kvantitativ innehållsanalys, detta för att kunna göra uträkningar och besvara frågor om hur källanvändningen ser ut över tid, vilken typ av källor som används och om tidningens politiska beteckning speglas i valet av källor.För att förklara vilket inflytande medierna har på sin publik använder vi oss av McCombs dagordningsteori som går ut på att medierna till stor del styr över vilka frågor som uppfattas som viktiga av allmänheten. Därför är det relevant att studera vilka som får komma till tals i medierna.Vår analys visar att förekomsten av elitkällor har minskat, men att de fortfarande är den dominerande typen av källa i alla fyra tidningarna.

Introduction: The interaction between different care facilities and professions is important in the care of older patients. Patients do not always get enough time to recover and often have a continued need for care. A discharge process of good structure in which the patient and relatives are participating and the continued need of care is assured is of importance in care of older patients.Objective: The overall purpose of this study is to compare the discharge process for patients over 75 years old admitted to a emergency medicine ward respective a emergency medicine ward with geriatric focus at a medicine clinic, to compare discharge process between these wards and evaluate the patients situation at home after discharge.Methods: A survey of medical records with a protocol and a telephone survey have been performed. Data was analyzed with descriptive and analytic statistic. Patients at the medical wards MAVA and care unit number 21/34, which are 75 years or older and are discharged to their own home, within the municipality of Göteborgs stad, in Sweden, are included in this study.Results: The discharge process differed between medicine wards with emergency medicine and geriatric focus.

Since they are not able to doeverything they want to do they have to choose between ideas to develop new products. This includesthe decision on when to start, stop or kill a project as well as the thought process of prioritizing betweenongoing and potential projects.Project Portfolio Management (PPM) is an organizational process, with the purpose of systematicallyorganizing and running the activities that aim to evaluate, select and prioritize ideas and projects fordeveloping new products. PPM include four major goals to be fulfilled; Maximizing Value of thePortfolio, Achieving a Balanced Portfolio, Achieving a Strategic Alignment and Running the RightNumber of Projects.The purpose of the thesis was to develop a more visual and formal PPM process for the early stages inproduct development in one department at St Jude Medical AB, Sweden.The thesis was conducted by following a methodology known as Process Modules. The methodology isan approach for developing a PPM process that fits a specific company.

För en speldesigner är det viktigt att ha kunskaper om hur människan fungerar. Det är av yttersta vikt vid skapande av spel att kontrollen fungerar som ett hjälpmedel för spelaren då det är verktyget för att kommunicera med spelet.Det här arbetet berör området att med hjälp av två små spel undersöka hur en person utan erfarenhet av Playstation kan lära sig att använda en spelkontroll utan att känna sig osäker på vilken knapp som ska tryckas ned eller vart på kontrollen rätt knapp sitter. Som underlag för den här undersökningen används teorier om automatiserade kognitiva processer vilket innebär att målet med undersökningen var att få försökspersonerna att komma till en punkt där knapptryckningarna sker per automatik. Spelaren skulle på så sätt eliminera de moment där han/hon måste tänka eller lokalisera för att genomföra rätt knapptryckning.Undersökningen visadetydliga tendenser om att träning ger bättre reaktionstider vilket visar påförbättrad kunskap om spelkontrollen, som är en Playstation 3 Dualshock3-kontroll. Dock gick det ej att konkret visa att någon av försökspersonernahade gjort knapptryckningarna till en automatiserad kognitiv process.Undersökningen visarockså att flera andra områden bör tillämpas för att få en mer tydlig bild av hur en person kan lära sig använda en spelkontroll.

Syftet med examensarbetet var att vi ska kunna förstå hur det är möjligt att effektivisera en orderprocess, genom att veta varför och var störningar uppkommer. Vi utförde studien på Rottne Industri AB för att finna eventuella aktiviteter som påverkar deras orderprocess negativt och därmed utnyttjar onödiga resurser. Utifrån att analysera resultatet och komma med förbättringsförslag för att åtgärda dessa aktiviteter. De aktiviteter som påverkar processen negativt har vi valt att definiera som två typer av störningar, vilka är revisioner av order samt onödigt arbete. Problemet när revisioner uppkommer är att det startar flertalet aktiviteter inom organisationen som leder till att onödiga resurser förbrukas ineffektivt. Genom att studera teorier kunde vi komma fram till ett sätt att utföra kartläggningen. Vi gjorde kartläggningen på plats på Rottne Industri AB och hos en återförsäljare för att kunna intervjua personer med insikt i processen.

This study focuses on a specific organization of a Security Operations Center (SOC) as a case studyto first identify specific challenges related to the work process, preceding with identifying whichprinciples from various process models, such as agile and traditional methodologies from softwaredevelopment companies, can be implemented. Initially, the study presents relevant research on agile and traditional process models as well asresearch on SOC. Subsequently, six semi-structured interviews are planned and conducted withemployees within a specific SOC-type organization to identify the current work process and thechallenges affecting the organization?s work process. The results of this study indicate a description of the current work process in the organization aswell as a variety of challenges related to technical and organizational issues.

Skatteprocessen i Sverige har under många år fått utstå kritik angående brister i rättssäkerheten. Skatteverket agerar både den utredande och dömande parten i första instans vilket medför ett stort ansvar för att kunna upprätthålla ett rättssäkert förfarande. Kritiska röster har dock höjts angående Skatteverkets arbetsmetoder och domstolarnas otydliga domslut. I de fall ett beslut från Skatteverket överklagas och en rättslig prövning inleds ställs den enskilde mot Skattemyndigheten. En process som kan komma att bli mycket kostsam för den enskilde.Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att studera hur rättssäker skatteprocessen är.

The creation of Region Skåne, and the transfer of the development responsibility from the national administrative country board (Länsstyrelsen) has given the state new challenges. New structures have grown between Region and State, and also between different municipalities. These can be characterized as Policy-networks, and the goal of this study is to analyze the planning process of the regional infrastructure with these theories.This is a qualitative study of the infrastructure process in Skåne, and the actors that acts within this process. It has been studied with the eyes of the theories of Governance and Policy-networks. The main method to collect material has been through interviews with different actors within the process, and very little written material has been used.

The students participating in my development work will work with a process book for handicraft studies. In the beginning of their studies, the students need practical knowledge about the development of the profession itself, but they also need to be challenged and learn how to solve problems on their own which will help them gain a deeper knowledge of the subject.    I focus on open questions to create a process with the students. This process is created when working with Solution-Focused-Education. Through ?assessment for learning? we can help the students to improve their self-assessment and understanding of the learning process.

To make a company or an organization reach a goal it requires the right way of thinking when recruiting new employees. One mistake and one wrong recruitment can cause a company or an organization huge expense, which are possible to avoid. A right recruitment is about having a good recruitment process which will support the right decision when choosing new employees. The purpose of this thesis is to do an analysis on three recruitment companies recruitment process and show the significance of the recruitment process for hiring the right person for the right position. The information for this paper has been collected through interviews and literature which concerns this subject.

The acquisition process as an object for research and empirical studies have increased in importance during the past decade. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate this process further. This was done by reviewing previous research covering the area of mergers and acquisitions. Seven key factors that should be considered in an acquisition process emerged; acquisition project management, planning, communication between the acquirer and the potential target, goal alignment within management, company-cultures, a trade-off between a certain speed in integrating the companies and consideration of the employees, and finally the follow-up. These factors have been shown to increase the likelihood of value creation in acquisitions.

Arbetet ett företag lägger ner för att komma fram till ett beslut om en större investering i till exempel nya maskiner är oftast omfattande och ett resultat av ett strukturerat arbete med klara strategier för att i största möjliga mån uppfylla behovet som orsakade anskaffningen. Däremot har en investering i informationsteknologi av olika anledningar inte setts som vanliga investeringar utan ofta genomförts utan en ordentlig utvärdering. Med denna uppsats ville vi försöka ta reda på om det verkligen förhåller sig så att företag anskaffar IT-system utan att göra någon ordentlig analys av de problem eller behov som förorsakat anskaffningen eller om de följde de metoder och modeller som finns tillgängliga för att komma fram till ett beslut om anskaffning av ett IT-system. Vi utförde vår undersökning vid tre produktionsföretag som hade anskaffat liknande system. Vid vår analys valde vi att applicera förändringsanalysmetoden, FA/SIM och Simons vedertagna beslutsprocessmodell på det empiriska materialet.

The aim of this thesis is to study a job-searching process and elements that affects it. The elements I have focused on are gender, class and social network. The study is based on interviews and a survey study with students from the educational program of Social work (Socialomsorgsutbildningen), that graduated 3 years ago. Through the survey I have examined their social-background and their job-searching process. The interviews are the main focus in the study.

Nutrient enrichment is the main cause of the increasing eutrophication process in the Baltic Sea during last century. A prerequisite counteract this process the load of nutrients to the Sea must be investigated. The large contribution of nutrients to the Sea is caused by emission from the rivers within the drainage basin. For the total emission of nutrient into the Sea the retention process in the rivers has big influence. This process in the river system has been assumed as a not important part of the nutrient cycle.
