This study aims to highlight the presence of individualistic and collectivistic approaches to the labour market in relation to union density. The different approaches are investigated in the labour market by means of a quantitative survey. The study's survey items are workers in the timber industry.

Information inom den kommunala socialtjänsten. En studie av socionomers upplevelse av information i det dagliga arbetet med barnavårdsutredningar.
The aim of this Masters thesis is to investigate how trained social workers experience information in their daily work. The thesis focussed on three major questions: - What type of information and information sources are mostly used by the trained social workers? - What kind of information barriers are described by the participants? - How can the patterns of information seeking and information use be understood on the basis of the trained social workers professional and social context? Semi-structured interviews were carried out with trained social workers working with child welfare enquiries. My theoretical framework consists of user and context oriented theories about classifications of information, information barriers and models of information sources. My conclusions are that trained social workers working with risk assessment in child protection services, need to use different kinds of information in their daily work, such as problem information, domain information and problem-solving information.
Förebygg och åtgärda mobbning på arbetsplatser :
Bullying in workplaces has been a growing problem the last ten years. Anyone can be a
victim or a bully. Either you are a leader or a worker a bullying situation can be activated.
There is no difference between ages, line of business, education or the size of the firm.
A person is defined as bullied if he or she is repeatedly subjected to negative acts in the
workplace. However, to be a victim of such bullying one must also feel inferiority in
defending oneself in the actual situation.
Bullying often occurs when situations or conditions at the workplace are unsatisfactory.
Employers are always responsible for the working environment at the workplace.
Victims of bullying very often develop psychological stress.
To prevent bullying you have to accept the fact that bullying exists. If the company has a clear
policy against bullying and a plan for action if the problem occurs, it will be easier to handle
the situation.

Känslomässiga utmaningar i socialt arbete ? vad betyder strategier och yrkeserfarenhet?
The aim of this study was to gain a greater understanding of what social workers perceive to be mentally demanding and emotionally challenging work, and which strategies they use to handle it. I chose to interview six social workers, three of them had long experience of social work, and three of them had worked for less than a year. The justification for this choice wasthat I wanted to interview people with different experience of social work over time, to be able to see possible differences in what was perceived as mentally demanding and emotionally challenging work, and how it was handled. The social workers were interviewed with a semi structured interview manual. The results showed that the organization of the social service is not fitted to the work that social workers execute. This means that what is perceived as mentally demanding and emotionally challenging work largely depends on this.
