Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera och analysera lärare och studenter med olika kulturella bakgrunder på Högskolan i Gävle för att undersöka om kulturkrockar uppstår studenter emellan samt mellan studenter och lärare. En ytterligare aspekt var även att utröna lärarnas ledarstilar.Metod: Vi har valt att genomföra en kvalitativ fallstudie, där det empiriska materialet baseras på nio intervjuer med lärare och studenter på Högskolan i Gävle, samt två egna observationer. Sekundärdata har insamlats genom relevant litteratur och artiklar inom ämnesområdet som ligger till grund för den teoretiska referensramen.Resultat och slutsats: Vi har kommit fram till att högskolans lärare är medvetna om att kulturella skillnader råder, men att de trots detta inte gör något för att lösa eventuella problem som uppstår. Då det råder en saknad av mer auktoritär ledarstil ges vissa studenter möjlighet att utnyttja högskolans system. Vidare har vi kunnat dra den slutsats att färre studenter i framtiden kan komma att välja Högskolan i Gävle som sitt lärosäte om högskoleledningen inte åtgärdar de problem som finns.Förslag till fortsatt forskning: Vi tycker att det vore intressant om denna studie utfördes på en annan högskola i Sverige för att se vilket resultat som skulle utrönas där.

The purpose of this study is to use a qualitative approach to get an understanding of what is expected of social workers targeted towards women managers in social services. Nine social workers were interviewed. The empirical data was then analyzed on the basis of gender theory. Respondents did not see their supervisor as a manager but more as a social worker with special tasks. Our empirical data indicates that there is a strong belief that men and women possess different properties.

Introduction: Workplace health promotion is important for both the health of the employee and the profability of the company. Among other things the psychosocial work environment tends to be related with motivation and well-being at work. Employees who experience work motivation and job satisfaction are at less risk of illness, which may also result in reduced absenteeism. Aim: The purpose was that of a smaller pilot study examining a qualitative methodology to obtain detailed and concrete information about the blue-collar employees' views on what helps or impair the psychosocial work on the logistics company. Method: A qualitative approach where semi-structured interviews were held with four focus groups was used.

We have chosen to focus our study on conflicts and handling of conflicts in a classroom environment. We are addressing problems such as the teachers? roll in a conflict, the importance of solid leadership in the classroom, students? agency, defense mechanisms in coping with conflicts and so on. In this paper there is a review of different perspectives on conflict and of understanding why conflicts occur the different reasons for the conflicts. Our observation study took place in a grade three classroom, in a mid-sized town, during a regular school day.

AbstractParental participation is something that is included in school either we like it or not. Several studies have been done about this phenomena but not many of them have examined the pupils estimation about parental participation. Therefore did we get interested about the pupils situation because why haven?t almost anyone asked the pupils about this phenomena when it?s constructed fore them? Denna studie handlar om kvinnliga ledare och deras förutsättningar på företaget Sandvik AB i Sandviken. Vilken typ av kvinnor väljer att bli chefer, vilken bakgrund och vilka egenskaper har de? Jag undersöker om det finns något som hindrar kvinnor från att bli chefer, samt tar reda på hur kvinnorna på Sandvik anser att en bra ledare ska vara. Betydelsen av ett gott chefskap inom äldreomsorgen är av stor vikt för medarbetarna, de boende och verksamheten. Omvårdnadsarbetet påverkas av chefens sätt att arbeta och det krävs därför att chefen är medveten om vad som utgör ett bra chefskap. Intervjuerna i denna studie är utförda med sju enhetschefer inom äldreomsorgen i Sverige. Syftet var att undersöka hur enhetschefer inom svensk äldreomsorg uppfattar sitt chefsarbete inom detta verksamhetsområde. Resultatet visade att arbetssätt, relationer, förhållningssätt och utvecklingsarbete är faktorer som enligt dessa chefer utmärker ett bra chefskap.

The objective of this study was to describe and analyze some of the conflicts in the class room using solution strategies from a human needs perspective. This was done by a qualitative in-vestigation based on the observations of the participants.The query of how every day conflicts arise in the class room and their reasons.The result was analyzed using reference frame in human needs theory. The results showed that there were several reasons for a conflict and its solution. It was also shown that creating a nice atmosphere in the class room was a continuous effort and the strategies of the teachers in a conflict situation were different depending on the situation. Dropout among youth players is a problem in Swedish icehockey. Leaders in youth hockey teams work closely with players on an almost everyday basis during season and have a big influence on players and their activities. This study aims to identify possible reasons for dropouts by interviewing coaches and leaders in icehockey clubs. A total of eight coaches and leaders in different ice hockey clubs were interviewed.
