What is the relation between literature and philosophy and what can we learn from it? Is there something about the novel and its language, fiction and narrative that separates it from philosophical litterature? In what way is knowledge about this useful to us, and is it possible to use fiction for the understanding of philosophy?This study makes an attempt to shed some light on the by no means obviuos distinction between philosophy and literature. The aim is to understand what, if in fact there is something that separates philosophy from literature, there is about the distinction that makes it possible for us to separate the ideas in literature from philosophical ideas, and in what way we can use the novel, or fiction in its widest meaning, to understand philosophy. When teaching philosophy you´re often required to make the abstract tangible. But if there´s a misconception about the distinction in what makes philosophical literature philosophical, then maybe there is something to learn from literature, or, at least, something about the fiction and its aesthetics, that makes it easier for us to relate to and understand, for example, the theories that are debated in moral philosophy.There are some philosophers who have used the form of fiction to make their thoughts on philosophical questions understandable.

Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva hur barn, i samband med sjukhusvistelse, förbereds inför undersökningar och behandlingar samt hur förberedelserna påverkar barnen. Vetenskapliga artiklar söktes i databaserna Medline via Pubmed och Academic Search EliteResultatet, baserat på 15 kvantitativa vetenskapliga artiklar, visade att barn som förutom verbal information fick ett utökat förberedelseprogram i form av terapeutisk lek, audiovisuell information eller kognitiv beteendemetod, uppvisade lägre oro och stressnivåer i samband med undersökningar och behandlingar..

The notion of door policy has received little academic investigation. In the media this phenomenon has however received much attention and has been connected to allegations of discrimination. The authors of this thesis take another view in trying to identify the mechanisms behind door policy from an economic perspective.Based on case studies in nightclubs in Stockholm the authors conclude that there are two types of door policy: including and excluding. While including door policy aims to comply with regulations and commonly is part of a cost-leadership or focus strategy, excluding door policy is primarily a tool for attracting and selecting a certain audience in line with a product differentiation strategy. It thrives on the principles of exclusivity and reciprocity.Forming the identity of a club, audience is of great importance and excluding door policy is found to be an important tool in creating the correct composition of audience, which ultimately aims to increase profitability..

Hur påverkas deras self-efficacy?VT 2007 Antal sidor: 27___________________________________________________________________________Studiens syfte är att bidra med kunskap till och förståelse för vilka faktorer och fenomen som kan vara avgörande för utvecklingen av självbemästring för undersköterskor inom äldreomsorgen. Uppsatsens forskningsfråga formuleras på följande sätt: Hur kan självbemästring påverkas av de arbetsvillkor och arbetsuppgifter undersköterskor ställs inför inom äldreomsorgen? Studiens frågeställning besvaras med hjälp av intervjustudie. De intervjuade var sex undersköterskor med varierande ålder och de har arbetat olika lång tid inom äldreomsorgen Resultaten visade att förmågan att förmedla och att ta emot kunskap inför olika arbetsuppgifter och arbetsvillkor, har en påverkan för utveckling av självbemästring.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar elevernas motivation i ämnet matematik ur ett elevperspektiv. I undersökningen deltog 16 elever i skolår 5 och det genomfördes kvalitativa enskilda intervjuer. Utifrån intervjuernas resultat presenteras elevernas syn på vilka faktorer som påverkar deras motivation i ämnet matematik. Undersökningen lyfter fram en rad olika aspekter som kan påverkas elevernas motivation och några av faktorerna som presenteras är läromedel, kommunikation, delaktighet och påverkan. I uppsatsen redogörs resultaten av intervjuerna i förhållande till aktuell forskning och teoretisk bakgrund med avseende på motiverande faktorer.

Dyslexia is a disability faced by an extensive amount of students in the current educational system. No medical alternatives have been found to improve the cognitive processing challenges presented with dyslexia. Therefore today?s educators are required to make instructional adjustments in their schooling, to ensure dyslexic students an academic future. The purpose of this qualitative study was, firstly, to discover how teachers work with dyslexic students, and secondly, to find out which practices are being used in this field.

This essay seeks to gain understanding on the thoughts of Konrad Adenauer regarding the future of Europe in the post-WWII era, and European integration in particular. The material used is his memoirs, which gives an insight into the part of his thought that he chose to share with the rest of the world. The essay uses an analytical framework of three theories, popular within the academic discipline of international relations: realism, liberalism and constructivism. The conclusion it draws is that none of the theories can in a satisfying way describe Adenauer?s thoughts, but rather that they all in some way describe certain elements of his thoughts.

De frågeställningar som besvaras är ?Vilka faktorer påverkar en individs förmåga att förändra sig själv med hänsyn till utveckling och personlighet? ? och ?Hur går en individ tillväga för att, på egen hand, förändra jaget??. Att utvecklas innebär att klara av nya situationer, även om det inte är självklart vilka situationer individen ställs inför. Utveckling sker genom aktivitet, en individ gör något och genom att se resultatet av handlingen skaffar sig han eller hon nya kunskaper som individen sedan kan använda i nya situationer.

Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka vilka hinder och motsättningar som rådgivare och forskare upplever i forskningskommersialiseringsprocessen inom högskolenära inkubatorer. This study is about how students 'performance in school is influenced by parents' educational background. The study has been performed by cooperation with two schools in Stockholm. One class in each school has participated and the students have amongst other questions answered regarding their grades in natural science subjects. To examine whether parents 'educational background affect students' performance, a quantitative survey in the form of poll has been conducted. Even a literature review was conducted in this area to get a clearer picture of how parents' educational background affects the performance of students.This study shows that students who have academic parents perform better than students who have not got academically educated parents.
