AimThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of MotViktÂŽs obesity-treatment program on eight severely obese subjects, concerning Body Mass Index, Waist-Circumference and Weight after three and a half months and Sense of Coherence, Body Image and Self-experienced Health after three months. The question in focus was: Did MotViktÂŽs obesity-treatment program have any effects concerning the factors mentioned above?MetodInformation was collected with questionnaires that were filled out by the eight subjects, three men and five women, who participated in MotViktÂŽs last round of treatment. Data concerning waist-circumference, weight and BMI were provided by MotVikt. The questionnaires that were used to get information about Sense of Coherence, Body Image and Self-Experienced health were SOC-29, BSQ and IQOLA SF-36.ResultatThe average BMI in the group has decreased with 2,9 kg/m2, from 39,7 till 36,8.

Several reports and scientific research have shown that unemployment affectshealth negatively and that it is the young unemployed who suffer the most. Despitethis, there were not many evaluated labour market programs for young peoplefocusing both on how the labour market programs affect the job status and health,most of them were only focused on job status. A literature-based studyhas been conducted and 15 articles have been reviewed and compiled into variouscategories using a content analysis. AbstractPurpose: The purpose of this study was to see if there was any correlation between BMI and chronic pain among participants who underwent a behavioural medicine rehabilitation program at a pain clinic in the central part of Sweden. Method: The study was conducted as a quantitative descriptive study context and has used medical records with documented data from the participants who were part of a pain clinic rehabilitation programs in the years 2004-2005. Altogether there were 76 participants in these years and excluded was nine participants with BMI measurements were not included in the documentation. Main Results: Regarding the relationship between BMI and chronic pain there was no significant relationships. Participants who completed the behavioural medicine rehabilitation program, however, showed a lower value of BMI and the estimated pain in VAS from the first to the third which is the last time of measuring.

Detta examensarbete utfördes pÄ ABB Power Technologies i Ludvika med syfte att förenkla tillverkningen av mÀrkskyltar till mÀttransformatorer.Tidigare utformades alla skyltar för hand i Excel utifrÄn data frÄn ett berÀkningsprogram. Det gjorde att det behövdes en mall för varje variant i varje sprÄk vilket ledde till vÀldigt mÄnga mallar. PÄ ABB ville man bÄde komma ifrÄn mÀngden olika mallar och det tidskrÀvande handarbetet som dessutom kunde resultera i att skyltarna inte fick enhetligt utseende. Genom att göra ett program som automatiskt genererar skyltarna utifrÄn en standardmall med hjÀlp av en fil frÄn berÀkningsprogrammet sparas mycket tid och arbete. The amount of television entertainment of the character ?reality program series? has increased on Swedish television, because of this it could be generally considered that television entertainment is in a ?reality series era?. In recent years so called ?work soaps? have become very popular. This is a television series, where through the TV screen; we have the possibility to view ordinary people in their daily lives and often dramatic work.

The purpose of this study was to examine participants' experiences and descriptions of a municipal activation program, and how participants perceive their opportunities for influence on their own needs and requirements. The results are based on statements from six semi-structured, individual interviews conducted by the qualitative method. Empowerment, paternalism and social capital are among the study's theoretical frame of reference. The main results show that more participants are critical of aspects of coercion and involuntary willingness in participation. Motivation for participation seems to mainly be linked to whether the activity is experienced as meaningful, as well as to the attitude of the staff.

PÄ initiativ av HÄkan Gerdin pÄbörjades utvecklingen av ett personaluthyrningsprogram, eftersom han en lÄng tid saknat ett program med denna specifika inriktning. Detta startade sommaren 2002 genom ett examensarbete med vÀl genomfört förarbete och utformning av programmets design. Programmet fick Àven namnet GOE!. Under hösten samma Är gjordes Ànnu ett examensarbete som bestod av att realisera större delen av GOE!. This paper set out to investigate how teachers of Swedish in Sweden implement the grammar objectives of the curriculum in their teaching, through interviewing six teachers. It has been important to compare their methods to modern research of grammar teaching and teaching in general. They have been asked a series of questions to answer whether or not they use grammar terminology as mediating tools, if they intergrate dialogue among students in grammar teaching and to what extent the teachers? knowledge of and attitude towards grammar influence their teaching methods. The results show that grammar is used as mediating tools primarily when it comes to feedback on pupils? texts, though not to a great extent; dialogue between pupils is rare when it comes to grammar teaching; and the teachers? grammar knowledge and attitude affect the teaching methods, primarily in the sense that seeing value in grammar knowledge increases the teacher?s desire to develop new methods for grammar teaching..
