The report is about efficiency of a current production group where there is no clear production flow and there are some buffers between the operations. The efficiency is done with the help of a tool that is calledWork process of flow production which is used by Atlas Copco CTO. The most obviously results are that the lead time drops from 25 hours to 425 minutes and that the balancing loss decreases from 85 % to 8 %. The report focus on decreasing transports, decreasing buffers, more reliability in lead time and quality. And a more stimulating labour content for the workers is another result..

Detta examensarbete är utfört vid Institutionen för produktionsekonomi på Linköpings tekniska högskola, för Scania Motortillverkning i Södertälje. Syftet med arbetet är att kartlägga ledtider i motortillverkningens produktion och att ta fram förbättringsförlag och arbetsmetoder för ledtidsreducering. Av Scania Motortillverknings totalt 13 flöden valdes fyra att studeras. De fyra flödena har olika karakteristik och representerar i viss mån samtliga produktionsflöden. Slutsatserna i detta arbete bygger på en omfattande kartläggning, vilken innefattar ledtider och operationstider men även hur förflyttning av material sker och hur buffertar byggs upp.

This thesis aspires to construct a routing optimization method customized for Volvo Powerstrain?s manufacturing plant in Skövde, Sweden. In order to enforce Volvo?s own understanding and control of there own organization, as well as optimize the utilization of the in-house tow trains, the BRO methodology where created. The methodology where created from observations of the currents working environment, analysis of order data as well as a comparison with two similar producing factories.

Pallco is a subcontractor that is specialized on steel and aluminium components.The aim of the report is to show an improvement proposal that leads to a reduction of the storage and improve the flow through the production of one item that is a part of a product that Pallco manufactures.With the increasing competition from other countries who can manufacture with lower costs must Swedish companies try to make theirs manufacturing as efficient as possible and remove all waste. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att analysera och utvärdera olika material styrningsmetoder inom tillverkningsindustrin för att få konkurrensfördelar. Scania som var uppdragsgivare ville att vi konkret skulle titta på vad som kan främja deras produktion. Scanias motorproduktion står inför en stor omläggning av materialstyrningsmetoder i och med att man ska bygga om och förbereder en ny produktionsanläggning i befintliga lokaler. Denna undersökning görs innan omställning av verkstaden, delvis för att kunna vara en jämförelsestudie efter att förändringen är slutfördArbetet har fortskridit i följande steg; först har vi sökt finna en problemformulering och en vetenskaplig grund att arbeta utifrån. Därefter har vi gjort en omfattande litteraturstudie som följts av en noggrann kartläggning av nuläget på Scania motorverkstad.

The aim of this report is to increase the knowledge and understanding of the problems within the production at AQ Enclosure systems, and thereby achieve a more stable flow throughout the whole process, a better working environment and better competition advantages. The internal flow along with the external cooperation is very important for the company, because it views flexibility and short leadtime as it is the most important competitive means. The part of AQ production that?s been investigated is the manufacturing of ATM-machines, where the costumer is Banqit. This company is a rater small company with about 4 % of the world market of ATM-machines.In order to achieve the aim of the report extensive interviews have been carried out with employees at AQ.

Detta arbete har syftat till att undersöka möjligheterna till förbättring av material- och produktionsstyrning vid Sandvik Mining and Construction i Sandviken. Målet har varit att skapa ett underlag för förbättrad styrning av ingående material. Nulägesanalysen visade att förbättringspotential fanns inom klassificeringen av hårdmetallämnen och komponenter. Dessutom var det önskvärt att ett Kanbansystem uppfördes på de förslipade hårdmetallstiften som går till den helautomatiska STAMA-cellen. Examensarbetet har gett underlag för en omstrukturering av denna klassificering men även för en framtida uppdatering av den.

Rapporten beskriver ett projekt utfört på Electrolux Laundry Systems AB i Ljungby. Projektets syfte är att identifiera de grundorsaker till varför den från början planerade monteringsplanen inte kan följas på företaget. Utifrån det resultat som inhämtats genom olika metoder är sedan målet att ta fram rekommendationer som företaget ska kunna använda, för att bättre kunna följa monteringsplanen.I arbetets inledande fas genomfördes intervjuer för att få en holistisk syn på varför monteringsplanen inte kan följas. Som komplettering till första fasen genomfördes ytterligare datainsamlingar i form av enkätundersökning, observationer och dokumentgenomgång. Med detta upplägg har objektiviteten kunnat höjas avsevärt eftersom problemet kunde studeras på avstånd i andra fasen.

Mobiltelefoner är idag en het teknologi och det blir fler och fler företag som väljer att presentera sig själva även mobilt för att på så sätt nå fler kunder. På marknaden finns en mängd av olika typer av mobiler vilket kan orsaka svårigheter för ett företag att komma ut med sin mobilapplikation då olika typer av mobiler ställer olika tekniska och kunskapskrav på företaget som utvecklar applikationen. En alternativ lösning kan vara en hybridmobilapplikation som gör det möjligt att ta fram applikationer för olika typer av mobilenheter baserad på samma kod-bas.I denna rapport har jag tagit fram en prototyp av en hybridmobilapplikation för ett BI konsultbolag. Applikationen skapades i enlighet med Kanban metodologi och använde sig av ramverket Ionic. Den skapade mobilapplikationen presenterar ekonomisk data i form av tabeller och diagram och har även interaktiva delar.

This report contains results of our study at CTC in Ljungby. CTC produces heating products such as boilers, heat pumps and additional products to their heating systems.The purpose of the report is to make a proposal how CTC will supply their new production line for heat pumps with materials. The proposal includes a production layout and a scheme for how to place the material in the production storage.The new production line will produce two different products and both of them have several variants. The line will also have a mixed flow, so the products can be produced in a random order. These conditions demand that the production line has great flexibility and that the material to all the variants can be stored in the production storage.With these conditions as input we made a layout proposal to the company.

The work with this report has been focused on developing a methodology model for control at purchase. The methodology model covers parts classification, dispatching systems, batch shaping and more. The aim with the methodology model is that it will be used as an aid for a cost effective material planning to increase the value for customer.The work covers also a description of the present situation and the purchase process at Company X. Six parts have been applied, two from each class (A, B and C), in the methodology/model. The parts that have been applied are included in the flow between Company X and their supplier Company Y.Data have been collected trough literature studies, interviews and the company?s business system.

I takt med att många vårdinrättningar har insett värdet av att använda sina resurser mer effektivt har lean blivit ett allt mer uppmärksammat område inom sjukvården. Den här rapporten beskriver hur man med lean-metoder kan öka kundvärdet i akutsjukvården. För att öka kundvärdet måste man eliminera de icke värdeskapande aktiviteterna som finns i värdeflödet. Vi har med hjälp av information från litteraturen och genomförda intervjuer valt ut två metoder för att identifiera icke värdeskapande aktiviteter; värdeflödesanalys och visuell identifiering. De icke värdeskapande aktiviteterna vi identifierat kategoriseras in i sju kategorier av svinn.

This thesis was made possible by the company Verendus system AB, which is the leading developer of dealership management systems in the caravan and camper market. The goal of the thesis was to create a statistics module for a new producer system envisioned by Verendus. The new system is aimed at manufacturers and importers of caravans and campers, with the goal of enabling its users to create more effective production lines. By providing statistical data to mentioned users they will be able to predict market trends and customize their production lines accordingly. Today such software does not exist which leads Verendus to think that its arrival would lead to a success on the market.Before the development and design of the producer system began, a new agile method had to be developed, MAM (Minimum Agile Method).

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of activities, flows and waste in a company's production process. By performing a value stream analysis, non-value adding activities are identified in a production process and then the suggested improvements that can reduce lead times will be stated. The value-stream mapping identifies the flow of information and the flow of material in a production process and this provides the basis for the identification of non-value adding activities.We conducted the study at Lammhults Möbel AB in Lammhult Sweden, where the production flow of Spira-21 has been investigated. This to identify any non-value adding activities that affect the flow negative and consumes time and money in a non-value adding way.A reasonable approach for the project was taken by studying the methodologies and theories. We conducted interviews and site surveys at Lammhults Möbel AB where the flow of information and material in the production process were investigated.

ASSA AB har först infört verktygen 5S och standardiserat arbetssätt, vilket möjliggjort införandet av andra verktyg såsom Kanban. Inget av detta hade dock varit möjligt med ett lyckat resultat om inte personalen först blivit utbildade och en leankultur skapats.
