This is a study of democracy on the local level. It?s a comparison between the municipalities of Mo?rbyla?nga and Mo?nstera?s in the region of Kalmar in Sweden based on most similar design. The question is if the structure of the political organisation affects the quality of democracy, with focus on the reorganisaton in Mo?rbyla?nga and the quality of the political process.

Staphylococcus aureus is the most clinically important Staphylococcus species and is associated with high mortality in patients with positive blood cultures. The purpose with this thesis is to clarify how estate agents working with their marketing and marketing strategies. Our study has occured in Kalmar and we have used five different estate agents for our collection of empiric?s data. We have worked with a qualitative methodology to achieve deeper knowledge about these five company?s which have been chosen for the study.We have selected theories that suit our subject and together with the empiric data these two parts will be compared which concludes in an analysis.

Uppsatsen ämnar undersöka hur gymnasielärare med ämneskombinationen svenska/engelska ser på användandet av dramapedagogik som metod i sina ämnen. Uppsatsen bygger på intervjusvar från åtta kvalitativa intervjuer gjorda med svensk/engelsklärare på två olika gymnasieskolor i Kalmar under våren 2008. Resultatet visar att många lärare är positiva till dramapedagogik men att det är få som använder det i en större utsträckning. Skälen att inte använda drama är enligt de intervjuade framförallt okunskap, tidsbrist samt organisatoriska svårigheter..

Studiens syfte är att utifrån barns perspektiv samt ett genusperspektiv studera barns konstruktioner och tal under konstruktionslek samt att studera eventuella skillnader mellan pojkar och flickor. Studiens teoretiska referensram utgår ifrån barnens egen verklighet med utgångspunkt i könsnormer vilka kopplas till vad som ofta anses vara socialt accepterat hos flickor respektive pojkar. Studien berör även hur barnen förhåller sig till dessa könsnormer. Studien gjordes med kvalitativa forskningsmetoder med en abduktiv ansats. Studien omfattar förskolebarn på två förskolor där insamling av empirin har skett via videoobservationer. Det kan tolkas som att både flickor och pojkars konstruktioner var kopplade till stereotypa könsnormer. Flickorna byggde bl.a. slott medan pojkarna byggde bl.a. robotar.

The purpose of this essay is to analyse and understand how students, as consumers, choose brands from the aspects of the concept of CSR, the economic, social and environmental. The essay is based on a qualitative method with three focus groups, with five respondents in each of them. The respondents are all studying at Kalmar University and they have all studied some kind of economic-course. We have used a lot of different sources for our theory chapter, this because of the fact that we wanted to have different angles, so that we would be able to cover all of the questions we wanted to discuss in the focus groups. In our two final chapters we discuss the issues similar to the theory section and we highlight our own thoughts.

Globalisering är något som de senaste åren blivit ett allt mer igenkänt begrepp bland oss människor, detta är något som berör både oss individer samt företagsvärlden. Den främsta anledningen till att detta är något som ligger i tiden beror på att numer finns möjligheterna, tekniken har tagit oss framåt vilket skapat ett behov bland oss människor av att se världen. Vi blir inte tillfredsställda förrän vi utnyttjat de möjligheter som finns. Det är bland annat företagen, och då främst världsföretagen, som format de möjligheter som uppkommit, genom bland annat sin företagskultur, ett fenomen inom ekonomi- och verksamhetsstyrningen. För att undersöka vilken egentlig påverkan denna företagskultur har på individer, som i allt större utsträckning rör sig på en arbetsmarknad som är av det globala slaget, har vi beslutat oss för att göra fallstudier på den svenska jätten IKEA.

There are about 3 500 churches protected under the Heritage Conservation Act in Sweden today. These churches still belong to living congregations that want to be able to adapt them to the needs of today, just like people have done throughout history. But since the churches are protected, the congregations have to apply for a permit and that is not always given. This can lead to frustration, and you can sometimes hear representatives of the church express the view that antiquarian authorities are enemies that oppose the church. On the other hand we have the antiquarian authorities that, in a way, have to act as advocates for generations to come and make sure that there is a cultural heritage preserved for them when they grow up.

The aim of the study is to evaluate how a law decided 2002 regarding discrimination against students in the higher education system in Sweden, was implemented at the University of Kalmar and Växjö University.The study asks two questions: How did the both universities implement the law? How did the universities manage to implement the law? In order to answer these questions the ?top-down? perspective, often used in field social science within discipline implementation, is used. First the study examines the goals with the legislation, and thereafter the actual implementation at the both examined universities.The conclusion is that the universities has high ambitions with implementation of the law and extensive formalized regulations but that it practically seems to be hard to get legitimacy with the implementation throughout the whole organizations. This makes the implementation work slowly though it?s working well with the people who have direct responsibility for the implementation..

This paper deals with the relations between landscape rooms and monuments in an area north of Mönsterås in Kalmar län. After archaeological excavations had been carried out in the area 1991, an article promote it to the ?Bronze Age district of Mönsterås? (Källström 1993). There are two main problems that I deal with in this paper. First: The relations between the natural places and the monuments or memorials.

Målet med min undersökning är att besvara frågorna ?Hur påverkar stenmuren produktionen i det moderna lantbruksföretaget?? och ?Hur har lagstiftningen som berör kulturelement förändrats??. Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att undersöka hur stenmuren uppfattas i odlingslandskapet.Storskiftet 1857, enskiftet 1807 och laga skifte 1827 förändrade jordbrukets medeltida struktur och sedan dess har utvecklingen gått mot allt färre men större brukningsenheter. Stenmurarna kom till i samband med skiftesreformer då gårdarna flyttades ut från byn för att få hela sin areal samlad kring ett gårdscentrum. Det är oftast dessa stenmurar som idag upplevs som odlingshinder i det moderna jordbruket då gamla ägogränser numera finns inom gården genom förvärv av grannfastigheter.

Denna rapport utgörs av en kvantitativ statistisk studie som är baserad på befolkningsstatistik. Studien är byggd på den nyproduktion som pågått under tidsperioden 2004-2006 samt det planerade bostadsområdet Gävle Strand som har planerad byggstart hösten 2006. Syftet har varit att analysera effekterna av nyproduktionen i Gävle kommun genom att studera hur faktorerna som berör val av upplåtelseform, geografisk belägenhet, boendesammansättning samt åldersfördelning har påverkat utvecklingen. Genom att dela in nyproduktionen i olika distrikt, med undantag för Gävle Strand som utgör ett eget distrikt, har jämförelser gjorts för att se om utvecklingen skiljer sig åt i olika delar i kommunen. Studien är byggd på statistik vilket gör att den inte tar hänsyn till samtliga faktorer som är av betydelse vid en flytt.

The education program System design at the University of Kalmar has since it?s beginning been missing a near by studio for it?s students studying towards audio and music. In the choice of examination project I would take upon this task, which was long wanted for the teachers and students at the university?s Musikhuset.Musikhuset became the buyer of the project, and the studio was to be installed at their premises. Unfortunately, the project got jammed by the university?s financial savings calculations, and was due to this delayed in the end for 11 weeks.

The marketing campaign ?Låna dig rik? [Get rich by lending] involved 25 public libraries in three regions; Kronoberg, Kalmar and Blekinge. This paper examines 28 news-articles concerning this campaign, found in eight publications in the responding regions. The purpose of this is to determine to what extent the description of the campaign found therein responded to the intents of its founders and to what extent the public had a say in these articles. The result found indicates that the overall image of the campaign presented in the news-articles was well in correspondence with the intents of the campaign itself but that the public views where arguably absent..

Studien bygger på en enkätundersökning som är riktad till specialpedagoger/speciallärare i Malmö och Kalmar med omnejd. Syftet har varit att kartlägga hur specialpedagoger/speciallärare uppmärksammar barn med motoriska svårigheter. Vi upplever att betydelsen av den motoriska utvecklingen har kommit lite i skymundan. Debatten om motorik var hetare för tio år sedan. Motoriken har stor betydelse för barnets hela utveckling.
