This is a study of democracy on the local level. It?s a comparison between the municipalities of Mo?rbyla?nga and Mo?nstera?s in the region of Kalmar in Sweden based on most similar design. The question is if the structure of the political organisation affects the quality of democracy, with focus on the reorganisaton in Mo?rbyla?nga and the quality of the political process. The study is based on statistical data and interviews with politicians and officials in Mo?rbyla?nga. It is analysing if the reorganisation takes the municipality further away or closer to democratic ideals and find that at least it has not increased the democracy, yet.
