Hälso- och sjukvården är idag under stor förändring. Dagens sjuksköterska ställs inför kraven från den allt mer välinformerade patienten. Enligt lag har patienten rätt att vara delaktig i vården bland annat genom att läsa sin Journal. Dagens sjuksköterska måste tillåta patienten att aktivt delta i sin vård. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt har Benners omvårdnads teori använts.

Background: Pain can be a constant problem in many older people's daily life, associated with particular physical and social disability, depression and poor quality of life. Dementia diseases are often associated with old age. Communication difficulties are one of the consequences of the disease, which clarifies the role of nursing staff in detecting and assessing pain. Objective: The aim was to compile knowledge about how nursing staff can identify pain in people with dementia. Method: A systematic literature review, where data were collected through manual and database searches.

The purpose of this study was to analyze recent appropriations of works of art in advertising. Why was art infused into magazine advertisements, how were the works of art tampered with to achieve commercial goals, how well did they function together with the ad copy? What did these advertisements want? What did the artwork contribute to the commercial message? These were some of the questions asked in the study that involved a closer look at four appropriations: one based on a battle painting by the Swedish 1900th century artist Carl Wahlbom, with a commercial message printed on top;  one a collage including an 18th century portrait of Marie Antoinettte by Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun; one advertisement was influenced by Dutch 1700th century still lifes, and, finally, one paraphrased Velázquez?s famous painting Las Meninas from 1655. Companies behind the advertisements featured a Swedish trade Journal, a fashion exhibition in Paris, a shop for kitchen utensils in Stockholm, and an up-scale department store in Madrid.The ads, in different ways based on works of art, were evaluated as reasonably successful commercial messages. These ads, however, hardly qualified as works of art in their own right ? if that was the intention.

Syftet med studien var att granska hur smärta och smärtbehandling hos barn under 12 år med lårbensbrott dokumenterades enligt Socialstyrelsens föreskrifter i omvårdnadsJournalen på akutmottagningen på Mora lasarett. En retrospektiv Journalstudie genomfördes på Journaler tillhörande de barn med lårbensbrott som vårdats på akutmottagningen under en femårsperiod. Studien omfattade totalt 38 Journaler. För att granska dokumentationens kvantitet och kvalitet användes en modifierad granskningsmall och granskningsnyckel CAT-CH-ING. Utifrån dessa kunde dokumentationen poängsättas och frekvensen av dokumentationen rörande smärta och smärtbehandling beräknas.

Det papperslösa samhället har varit ett begrepp i över trettio år, men än läser vi tidskrifter och magasin i pappersform. Vi konsumerar dock dagligen allt mer information och mycket av denna är i digital form. Tidskriften är en produkt som liksom CD-skivan är möjlig att helt och hållet digitalisera. Kanske är det en anledning till att upplagorna minskar för många tidskrifter i Sverige? Denna rapport syftar till att nå en fördjupad förståelse för hur svenska tidskrifter möter den digitala utvecklingen i fyra kanaler; webbplats, Twitter, Facebook och applikation för iPad (digital utgåva).

Objective:This study aimed to investigate the correlation between physical activity level (PAL), measured with activity diary and accelerometer, among overweight and obese children and adolescents. The aim was also to study differences in PAL between girls and boys.Design:55 children and adolescents, whom been subjected to a physical activity registration with a physical activity diary and accelerometer during three or four days, were included in this study. From the data received from the children?s Journal records PAL was calculated and compiled for statistic analysis.Results:The results of the study showed that the children underestimated their physical activity level when measured with activity diary, in comparison with the physical activity level measured with accelerometer. Differences between girl and boys PAL values were not statistically significant, although the girls PAL values from the accelerometer, but not from the activity diary, reached a moderate activity level according to Nordic nutrition recommendation.

The main purpose of the study was to analyse the well being of children placed in foster care for at least two years, in one sample municipality. An assessment was made of how the social service admistrated and took responsibility for these children in terms of schooling, physical and mental health. To further understand the situation of the children three areas of investigation were added concerning; teenage pregnancy, the mental health and mortality of the biological parents. To receive answers to those questions a qualitative interview method was used, with structured questions to social workers working with foster care. The author also studied Journal notes and child investigations to receive a more comprehensive picture.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how the relationship between the socially constructed genders is manifested in American library science. To visualize gender, bibliometric analyses of peer reviewed articles published in three core Journals of library science between 1980 and 2000 inclusive, are performed. The three Journals are: College and Research Libraries, Journal of Academic Librarianship and Library Quarterly. Questions: 1. Does gender affect the publishing process regarding the distribution of female and male authors? 2.

The aim of this essay is to examine different discourses concerning adolescents and library youth services that can be identified in the material. 73 articles from the Swedish library Journal, Biblioteksbladet, were analysed trough a model. The different articles were all published between 1916 and 2005. The analysis revealed a result that consists of four discourses about adolescents and youth services at different libraries between 1916 and 2005: the library as fostering discourse, a new era discourse, the visiting activities discourse and the young adult discourse. The library as fostering discourse is based on the idea that the library itself doesnt need to change the service to adolescents, instead the adolescents are supposed to change into good library users.

The main purpose for this study was to examine how boys with destructive and self-harming behaviour are perceived and comprehended by school counsellors and literature. The study assessed how boys who harm themselves are defined both in practice and in theory by using a social constructivist point of view and a gender perspective. The study was divided in two parts concerning gathering knowledge of the matter. The authors, using a method called qualitative semi-structured interviews, interviewed nine school counsellors. To acquire scientific knowledge, the authors implemented a literature review and researched books and Journal articles regarding boys who self-harm.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine if academic libraries market e-Journals, and if so how this work is carried out. The ambition is to study what channels and methods the Libraries use, to inform their users that they have access to e-Journals. The aim is also to survey if the libraries evaluate the use of the e-Journals, and if so how. The objectives of the work are reached by using two main methods, document analysis and qualitative interviews. The study has been performed on three university libraries.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine librarians opinions about media. Four questions are asked: What kind of different attitudes to new media has librarians had? How is new media discussed in relationship to each other in the debate? What mechanisms and underlying causes control the discourse for new media in public libraries? Does the discourse change over time, in that case, how? The theoretical background is theory about moral- and media panic and popular adult education. The media panic theory includes the idea that the same reaction occurs every time a new media is introduced. The theory about popular adult education is that the public need to be cultivated.

Introduktion: Smärta, smärtskattning samt smärtbehandling är centrala begrepp inom hematologin. Intresset att genomföra en studie huruvida kvalitetsmål för smärtbehandling som finns utarbetade på Akademiska sjukhuset (AS) i Uppsala följs, väcktes med anledning av detta. Syfte: Författarna valde i denna uppsats att undersöka om gällande kvalitetsmål för smärtbehandling uppnås på hematologen på AS för patienter med maligna blodsjukdomar. De mål som undersöks är dokumentation, kunskap hos behandlande personal på avdelningen, smärtskattning samt smärtbehandling.Metod: Studien är en Journal- och enkätstudie med deskriptiv design. 30 Journalers dokumentation på inneliggande patienter från november 2008 har granskats under en period med fokus på smärta.

The effectiveness of communication in the Swedish healthcare system context has long been the subject of debate. Issues stemming from usability, accessability and interpretation affect the lives of patients, and yet the vocal groups in the healthcare communication debate are patients and administrators, not healthcare professionals. With the advent of eHealth services and new demands being put forth on the ability of healthcare professionals' to handle increasingly numerous and innovative systems, it is of more importance than ever to understand the healthcare professionals' work context. This article is based on interviews with five healthcare professionals concerning their views on electronic health records (EHR), eHealth services, trends in healthcare services development in Sweden, as well as their views on the future of eHealth solutions and health information technology (HIT). Analysis of collected information shows an apprehension among healthcare professionals towards electronic communication, as well as a dissatisfaction with the usability of modern healthcare systems.

The study aimed to investigate the acute medical chain consisting of SOS operator, ambulance nurse, emergency nurse and emergency physician with regard to the assessment and prioritization of the victim.The design of this Journal study is retrospective with descriptive approach. Data were collected from all ambulance missions carried out in Uppsala county 2009-01-01 between the hours 00:00 to 12:00. Sample period was chosen because the prerequisite for high frequency on the ambulance mission was supposed to be good. In order to be able to systematize the compilation of data a protocol were prepared and used. Applicable data were collected from three databases SOS Alarms, ambulance operations, and the University Hospital in Uppsala.
