Som ett resultat av ekonomiska skandaler, såsom Enron och Worldcom, där man har konstaterat att bristen på den interna kontrollen har varit orsaken, stiftades lagen Sarbanes-Oxley Act som gäller för amerikanska börsnoterade företag. Denna lag är till följd av att ägarna ställer högre krav på Corporate Governance (bolagsstyrning) i de nordamerikanska börsnoterade företagen. Detta leder till ett ökat skydd för finansiärerna eftersom i dagens komplexa bolag är ägandet och styrningen till stor del åtskilda. Lagen har lett till att internrevisionen har fått en allt starkare roll i att stödja ledningens arbete med att dokumentera och följa upp den interna kontrollen. En liknande lag, svensk kod för bolagsstyrning, har stiftats i Sverige och gäller för svenska börsnoterade företag.Författarna har undersökt hur den interna revisionen har utvecklats inom olika företag i Sverige.

Vi vet alltför lite om hur teknikämnet gestaltas i skolan och ännu mindre om hur det gestaltas i förskolan. Jag är utbildad förskollärare men arbetar i nuläget dels på en kommunal verksamhet som ger utbildning inom teknik samt på teknikkurser riktade till lärare på ett universitet. Min kommunala arbetsplats anordnade nyligen en fortbildning i ämnet teknik riktad till förskollärare och barnskötare i kommunen. Under denna kurs, där jag arbetade som lärare, började jag se mönster som intresserade mig. Deltagarna uttryckte muntligt en viss svårighet med teknikämnet medan de inte fysiskt visade detta.

By using steady-state measurements for predicting emissions under a dynamic drive cycle wouldsave a lot of time and money for the exhaust aftertreatment specialists at Volvo cars. The idea forthis thesis has been to investigate if statistical regression models can be used with good accuracy.Questions included are for example if common operating variables such as engine speed, air-fuelratio etc. is sufficient to predict engine-out emissions over the engine operating range with goodaccuracy. Focus was set on the modelling of warm engine, but also the more complex engineheat-up phase was investigated since it is a great contributor to total emissions. While NOxcouldnot be measured because of malfunctioning measurement equipment, only HC, CO andtemperature at inlet of first catalytic converter has been modelled.

Interaction through these devices have become so natural in our daily life that we get confused when a retailer does not offer a website or an app. The habit of searching for information in the most accessible channel and buying in the one that offers the benefit of convenience, and of course, saves you money and time, is a common way of shopping these days. This is referred to as multi-channel shopping.

Today´s roofing of dwelling houses is a very time consuming procedure, which includes a lot of different steps on the construction site. Not only does it cost a lot of money, but often do problems with rot and mold occur in the attics of houses today. The use of prefabricated modules has seen a great breakthrough in the field of construction of dwelling houses; at least when it comes to foundations and walls, where this type of approach makes the construction process way more efficient. What no one previous has succeeded to develop is a corresponding system for roofs that meets the demands of a dwelling house. Accordingly the goal of PlusTak has been to come up with a proper module system for roofing of dwelling houses, where the roofing is completed to meet the demands of the Scandinavian market. During the project a lot of effort has been put into customer contacts and the usability of the product, as well in the manufacturing process as on the construction site. This development has gone hand in hand with several practical tests and tryouts.

During the period 2009-2013, investments in the Swedish national grid increase by a factor of ten compared to previous years. In order to fulfil their mission to manage the national grid in a safe, efficient and environmentally sound way, Svenska Kraftnät (Swedish National Grid) needs to take all these perspectives into account while planning new investments. To compare and relate perspectives of technology, economy and environment the same yard stick must be used. That yard stick is commonly money. A problem arises however as environmental issues are difficult to price.The purpose of this master?s degree project was to develop a tool for evaluation of environmental impact related to investments in the Swedish national grid.

Horses respond individually to challenges, and the possibility to use these reactions to evaluate equine temperament with an objective instrument would have several advantages. Horse welfare could be improved by making it possible to find individuals best suited for a specific use, and understanding of the development of abnormal behaviours, such as stereotypies, could be increased. Management routines and training could be adjusted tosuit each individual horse and it could facilitate the selection of individuals appropriate for breeding. There are also economic implications, as horse buyers consider temperament important and after evaluating temperament, money can be spent solely on specific horses with all the right qualities. During the last decade, many attempts have been made to measure different aspects of temperament in horses, and the first aim of this project was to look at these studies and see which methods were used and which temperamental characteristics they measured.

In Swedish school library research, the role of the school library has seldom been studied in a subject-specific context. When it has been, the subject has usually been a theoretical subject such as Swedish or Social studies. The purpose of this master's thesis is to study what role or roles the school library can play in a different context, in the program-specific subjects at a trade oriented program in the Swedish upper secondary school, and to determine what factors affect the possibility for the school library to play a role in such a context. The Food Programme was selected as the specific program to be studied. In this program, the students learn a trade, in this case bakery, and the teaching in the program-specific subjects can be expected to be practical in nature.

Begreppet kommunikativa upplevelser kommer i denna uppsats att användas i sammanhanget om hur Volvo använder sig av dem i sin varumärkeskommunikation samt vad som kommuniceras. Det kommer även att appliceras på kundperspektivet då det beskriver hur individer uppfattar företags utsända kommunikation.Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera innehållet, budskapet och utformningen av Volvos marknadskommunikation i Nordamerika för att diskutera hur begreppet kommunikativa sinnesupplevelser framställer vad varumärket står för. Samtidigt ska jag undersöka hur individer som exponerats av Volvos markandskommunikation uppfattar den och hur de ser på Volvo som varumärke.I mitt forskningsarbete har jag använt mig av tre kvalitativa metoder för att samla in data: Intervju med John Maloney Vice president för Volvos marknadskommunikation Nordamerika, deltagande observation hos en Volvoåterförsäljare i Minneapolis, fokusgrupp diskuterande reklamfilmer från Volvo.Då det inte finns någon teori genererad för mitt nyfunna begrepp har jag valt att bygga en teoretisk ram på närliggande begrepp. I basen har jag valt att visa teorier gällande marknadskommunikation och traditionell marknadsföring. Jag har sedan valt att utveckla med flera nytänkande perspektiv i marknadsföringen där påverkan genom upplevelser, sinnen och servicelandskapet diskuteras Mitt syfte med uppsatsen är att analysera kommunikativa sinnesupplevelsers roll i Volvos varumärkesbyggande därför anser jag det relevant att diskutera teorier gällande varumärken och hur våra sinnen kan påverka upplevelsen av varumärken.Volvo kodar meddelande i symboler som sedan sänds i exempelvis TV-reklam, kunden avkodar dem och upplever kommunikativa sinnesupplevelser som skapar känslor vilka ger en uppfattning av varumärket och organisationen.

ECG-Screening for young elite athletesAbstractBackgroundSudden cardiac death (SCD) during physical activity is a frightening and emotional tragedy that draws huge media attentions when it occurs. Fortunately it is a relatively uncommon occurrence but happens nonetheless to young athletes who often seems to be in perfect health. SCD is used as a term for sudden unexpected complications on the cardiovascular system that leads to a deadly outcome normally within the first hour of onset of symptoms and the cause is some sort of underlying cardiovascular disease that gets triggered by physical activity.Normally athletes gets divided into two groups dependent on age, over and under 35 years, and this studies focus is on the younger group since it is often during this period athletes are at the elite level. It is also in this category the most unexpected sudden deaths occur that is not due to coronary atherosclerosis, which is the dominant cause of death, and drastically increases, for people over 35 years old.AimThe aim of this study was to scientific and unbiased analyze peer-reviewed clinical articles todescribe the pros, cons and cost to implement an ECG-screening as a standard before physicalactivities for specifically defined elite athletes.MethodA systematic review was performed and after all data collection 21 articles was chosen to beused as a base for both background and analyze. At the end 10 articles was fulfilling the criteria to be used at the analyze and later the results.ResultsThe implementation of ECG-screening has reduced SCD in Italy by 89 % between the years 1979-2004.

Syfte: Genom att jämföra de tre veckotidningarna Julia,Veckorevyn och Tara vill jag ta reda på hur många reklamannonser som finns i de respektive tidningarna och hur många artiklar med dold reklam som finns i tidningarna. Veckotidningar idag är dyra att köpa och deras ekonomi och själva existens bygger på att de har många annonsörer, detta ger upphov till att tidningarna många gånger upplevs som reklamblad. Genom min undersökning vill jag ta reda på om det köparen betalar för vid köpet av veckotidningen verkligen är mestadels reklam och i vilken form denna förekommer ? öppen eller dold. Metod: Med hjälp av John Fiskes kvantitativa innehållsanalys har jag tänkt studera innehållet i tidningarna Tara, Veckorevyn och Julia för att kontrollera hur stor del av tidningen som innehåller reklam i någon form och hur stor del av tidningen som lämnas fri till övriga artiklar.

Studiens utgångspunkt är mina egna frågeställningar kring reflektion i relation till lärande. Studien syftar till att undersöka hur elever inom en gymnasial frisör- och stylistutbildning beskriver reflektion som metod i utbildningen. Inom ramen för det här arbetet belyses fem elevers beskrivningar av reflektion i relation till lärande för yrkesprofessionen. Mina huvudsakliga forskningsfrågor är: Kan ökad reflektion leda till ett mer utvecklat lärande? Vad krävs av läraren för elevers ökade reflektioner?Det finns uppfattningar om att vissa utbildningar är teoretiska och andra är praktiska.

Over a long period of time, there has been a rich debate in the academic and financial world if active management can generate an excess return. Many experts say that the current active management strategies is nothing more than a money grab that produces large gains, for banks and investment firms, through high management fees while producing no excess value for the individuals buying their service. In short, an effective market makes it almost impossible for fund managers to produce value for their clients in the long run.No argument has only one side though, other experts say that active management has a role to play because not all investors are rational. This irrationality can lead to mispricing on financial assets in the marketplace and in turn lead to an ineffective market where active management can fill a much needed role. The purpose of this study is therefore to see if active management strategies can create a higher risk adjusted return, taking management fees into consideration, during times of high volatility when the uncertainty is at its peak.
