Uppsatsen "En utredning av filosofins möjligheter" inleds med ett konstaterande av den bitande kritik som tidvis framförts mot filosofins olika dogmer och traditioner bland andra av Ludwig Wittgenstein, G. E. Moore och Richard Rorty. Det sägs vidare att all denna kritik hotar att förinta den positiva upptäckarlusten. En föresats görs därför att i funderingar och kritik se möjligheter för filosofin för att på så sätt bidraga till att föra denna framåt i något som förhoppningsvis blir ett konstruktivt inslag i debatten.

Sweden is going through big changes within the bank sector. Increasing card usage, decrease of cash acceptance in the society, an attempt to reduce money laundering, and a possible increase in profitability has lead to the rescindment of cash management among three of the four major banks. This has lead to a big debate in the society, a lot of frustration from customers, and a drop in customer satisfaction for every bank that started the process of removing cash management. The purpose of this study is to find out how the banks could keep their customer satisfaction when removing cash management. When doing the study, the rescindment of cash was a deduction of a part of the service, compared to the normal adding or starting of a service. The study was done through a focus group that was the base of a questionnaire that got answered by 125 respondents.

We have in this essay studied the Swedish Hedge Fund Market available for the average Swedish private investor. We have closely looked at the risk measurements that are applicable on the evaluation of Hedge Funds today, and furthermore studied how they are communicated and what they actually contribute with in terms of risk and yield. Our survey attempts to clarify the shortcomings in the communication between the Hedge Fund Managers and their smaller investors. Do they really know where they put their money? The market is rapidly expanding and our goal was to find improved ways to inform about the Hedge Funds risks and opportunities.

The main purpose of this Master´s thesis, is to describe and discuss what constitutes the library collaboration between The Swedish Royal Library and the National Library of Guatemala, but also to analyse which effects the support has for public library work in Guatemala. The data consists of interviews and direct-observations during 2 months of fieldwork in Guatemala, Central America. The analysis is based on literature studies combined with the answers from the respondents and other results from the field work. We have found above all three factors to be of importance in the constitution of the collaboration between the National Library in Guatemala and the Swedish Royal Library: the Swedish library discourse, the Swedish aid discourse and the relationship between the people involved with the project. The library discourse in Sweden and in Guatemala emphasizes different aspects of the work.

Malm Problem: In order to be a successful football club, the management team has to consider a variety of business issues. Since money is having such an impact on the football industry of today, the financial status of the clubs sets the condition for how clubs are able to achieve their main objective, i.e. to be successful on the football field.

A property is owned with ownership which in turn may be granted limited rights to acquire the use of land or space in another's property. Tenancies and easements are the most common limited rights. Trafikverket has a range of different rights that are linked to its properties. There are rights that work in favour of Trafikverket?s property as well as against them.

Piled friction soil show a set-up which is increasing with the time after installation. The cost could be reduced if the set-up had been taken into account when designing but in Sweden it is very unusual to do that. Previous studies showed that set-up can vary between 25 % and 75 % during the first 90 days after pile installation. This showed that the effect of the phenomenon is difficult to predict. A study involving five projects have been carried out by specifying certain parameters like pile type, method for pile installation and test method for measure the bearing capacity in friction soils located in Sweden.

In order to drive innovation and growth in a nation is it important to have innovative companies. Many of those innovative companies are smaller companies, which are in need of capital injections for expansion of its operations or to be able to produce a commercial product. In many cases the banks will not lend because they believe there is too great a risk that they will not get their money back. It is in this situation venture capital becomes interesting. Venture capitalists? see the potential the product and/or entrepreneur possesses and are therefore more willing to take the risk in investing in these companies.

Sömnstörningar hos ungdomar anses vara ett växande problem. Det finns misstankar om att ungdomarnas ökade användning av Informations- och Kommunikationsteknik (IKT) är boven i dramat. Ungdomar upplevs spendera en allt större del av sin tid framför datorn, samtidigt som mobilen går varm av samtal och SMS. Det saknas dock utförlig forskning kring sambanden mellan IKT-användande och sömn. Syfte: Att undersöka huruvida ungdomar lider av sömnstörningar och om det i så fall kan kopplas till deras IKT-användande.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur förskollärare ser på uterummet som lärmiljö. Vad sker under utevistelsen på förskolan och hur tänker förskollärare kring miljön och dess betydelse för barns utveckling, lek och lärande? I denna studie har kvalitativ intervju som metod använts och sex olika förskollärare har intervjuats. Vi har valt att använda oss av John Deweys teori om lärande i denna studie. Ute får barn möjlighet att uppleva med alla sina sinnen och lära med hela kroppen vilket är en av grunderna i Deweys teori.

The aim of this thesis is to improve the control of urea injection at the combined power and heating plant Framtidens Gärstad (FTG). Tekniska Verken i Linköping AB is the owner of the plant.The FTG plant consists of a boiler where garbage combustion is done. From the combustion nitrogen oxides are emitted. These nitrogen oxides are hazardous to the environment. To reduce the nitrogen oxides, injection of urea into the boiler is used.

Abstract Background: In 1997 the Kyoto Protocol was signed, it?s an international agreement which is aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Sweden's goal is to reduce energy using in buildings with 20 percent by 2020 and 50 percent by 2050. This is a comparison with levels from 1995 (Glad, 2006). For Sweden to be able to reach its goals, they need to construct more low-energy buildings (Åhman, Wahlström & Lundblad, 2010).

Internetpoker har rönt stor uppmärksamhet i media och har vuxit mycket snabbt, kunderna har strömmat till och utbudet har också ökat mycket snabbt. Idag finns flera olika företag som försöker hitta in på denna marknad.Denna uppsats kommer att undersöka konkurrenssituationen inom ett av de stora internetpokernätverken, nätverket vi valt är 24Hs nätverk B2B. Vi undersöker hur situationen ser ut idag, försöker skapa en bild av hur framtiden ser ut för internetpokern och de företag som konkurrerar inom detta nätverk. Vår uppsats syftar även till att stödja vår klient i att finna segment av marknaden som är mindre exploaterade, genom strategier som kan leda till en ökad framgång.Vi drar våra slutsatser utifrån dels en enkät bland pokerspelare och en genomgång av de skins som idag är aktiva inom nätverket. Vi har även intervjuat representanter för tre aktörer som är verksamma inom nätverket.Slutsatsen att det fortfarande kan vara lukrativt att starta skins inom nätverket 24H, i vart fall så länge marknaden växer.

Scandinavian Airlines System är ett flygbolag baserat i de Skandinaviska länderna. Företaget har som visionen att de ska vara det naturliga första valet. Affärsidén är att lönsamt betjäna den Skandinaviska marknaden med ett brett utbud av flygbaserade tjänster med skärskilt fokus på affärsresandet. SAS har därför arbetat fram ett nytt incheckningskoncept där resenärer ska erbjudas valmöjligheten att checka in utanför flygplatsen i en större utsträckning med hjälp av Internet och mobiltelefon. Det nya incheckningskonceptet medför att behovet av dagens fullstora incheckningsautomater kommer att minska och istället ökar behovet av självbetjäningsautomater som endast skriver ut ?bagagetaggar?.

I denna uppsats presenteras en undersökning av gymnasiala styrdokument för religionsämnet i Sverige och Norge. Styrdokument som varit föremål för analys är Religionskunskap 1 och Religion og etikk, vilka betraktas i denna uppsats som en betydande dimension av framtida medborgares meningsskapande process på livsåskådningsområdet. Syftet med undersökningen har varit att förklara denna dimension av meningsskapande genom att undersöka vad som konstituerar innehållet i styrdokumenten och hur pluralism konstitueras i dessa. Undersökningen tar sin utgångspunkt i John Deweys begrepp transaktion samt Michael Foucaults maktperspektiv. Begreppet transaktion innebär att gymnasielevernas meningsskapande process på livsåskådningsområdet är oavhängigt styrdokumentens innehåll i form av ett meningserbjudande.
