Ultrasound is a well established diagnostic method in small animal veterinary practice but there appears to be limited use of ultrasound for evaluating the musculoskeletal system. The aim of this study was to investigate what publications exist concerning musculoskeletal ultrasound of dogs and to compare the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound at the University Animal Hospital (UDS) in Uppsala, to other animal hospitals in the world. The literature review is divided into three parts, the front leg, the hind leg and miscellaneous. The literature review focuses on the musculoskeletal abnormalities that can be seen with ultrasound. The front and hind leg sections are mainly focused on the joints.

The Bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) causes bronchiolitis and interstitial pneumonia, predominantly in calves, and is a major cause of bovine respiratory disease worldwide. In humans, BRSV is paralleled by the closely related Human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV), an important cause of respiratory disease, most severe in infants.The clinical signs and pathology during RSV infection is caused, not only by the direct effects of viral replication, but also by the response of the host immune system. The immunopathology of RSV has long obfuscated our understanding of the disease, and development of effective treatment and vaccines will be very difficult until greater knowledge is gained.One of the components of the immune system that has come into focus in RSV research the last few years, is the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). The TLR4 receptor is well known as the receptor that binds lipopolysaccaride (LPS), and initiates the host response to bacterial infection. Recently, it has been shown that the fusion protein of RSV also interacts with, and up-regulates the expression of, the TLR4 receptor.

The purpose of this study is to investigate two Handelsbanken offices and how they work in similar ways when dealing with internal communication. The goal is to answer if and in what way the managers` and the employes perceive their internal communication at the two bank officies. By a comparation between the two decentralisized officies the aim is also to study what differences and/or similarities that exists in internal communications?Are managers and employees satisfied with the communication that flows in the organization? I find it interesting to investigate in wheather there exist a similarity in the internal communication between the managers and the employees since it is a decentralized organization.I have made five semi-structured interviews with two managers at two different Handelsbanken offices. Additionally two interviews with two employes at one of the offices and also one interview at the other Handelsbanken office.By the study I have found that all respondents have a positive impression according the internal communication.

The purpose of this study is to discover and explain the influences of media coverage of organizational crises on crisis communication, and vice versa. The study also shows how mediated crises develop, and how media framing and news sources affect this development.Carried out as a case study of three Swedish mediated crises, the methods used are quantitative and qualitative content analysis of media content from four Swedish newspapers and four organizations' press releases from the studied crises.Mediated crises develop through their specific pattern regardless of, but not independent from, the organizations' crisis communication. The crisis communication is used as an elite source in media reporting from the crises, but it can not control the mediated crises. However, it influences framing, and the possibilities to influence media reporting are better in the pre-crisis phase and the culmination..

Med detta som grund har studien utformat rekommendationer för hur förvärvsorganisationer kan arbeta med den interna kommunikationen och på så sätt överkomma och förebygga brister i kommunikationen.Metod: En fallstudie utifrån en deduktiv forskningsprocess användes genom att ställa upp påståenden utifrån teorin som prövades på empirin. Datainsamlingen skedde genom kvalitativa intervjuer och en kvantitativ enkät.Slutsats: Brister som uppstår i kommunikationen har en verkan på hela organisationens finansiella och prestationsmässiga resultat. The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the potential effects on a number of social workers that may arise from listening to stories of domestic violence, and how these social workers deal with the potential effects. The study is based on qualitative interviews with seven social workers that work with domestic violence. The theoretical perspective that we used was the theory of coping. The results of this study have indicated that the respondents have been affected of listening to the stories of domestic violence. Examples of different impacts that the work has had on some of the social workers is that they avoid movies and/or books with elements of violence, they are more aware of the domestic violence in the surroundings and there has also been changes in their cognitive schemas.

The aim of the study was to understand limitations and possibilities to the discretion of managers in order to fulfill wishes of users. The study is based on six interviews, three with managers and three with staff in common homes for mentally disabled people. The study took place in a municipality in Sweden in the spring of 2010. We used an interview guide with specific themes and questions. The theoretical framework was based on organizational theories as well as theories about management and discretion.

Få empiriska studier har genomförts vad gäller affärssystems påverkan på organisationers flexibilitet och forskningen är splittrad vad gäller affärssystems påverkan på flexibiliteten för organisationer. Syftet med denna uppsats är att illustrera och förklara hur ett affärssystem påverkar flexibilitet i en organisation. För att besvara syftet skapas en analysmodell som syntetiserar tidigare forskning om flexibilitet med en organisatorisk förändringsmodell.

Sverige står idag inför en generationsväxling och förändring på arbetsmarknaden. I och med det blir det allt svårare att skilja sig från mängden vid sökande efter ett nytt jobb vil-ket har bidragit till att det blivit viktigare att tänka på sitt personliga varumärke. Genom intervjuer med nio nyckelpersoner inom coachning, rekrytering och bemanning har vi fått en överblick över hur rekryteringsprocessen ser ut idag samt en ökad förståelse för be-greppet personligt varumärke. Vi ville med denna uppsats få fram vad det personliga va-rumärket har för roll i rekryteringsprocessen idag samt begreppets betydelse.Den teoretiska referensram som vi utgick från behandlar teorier om rekryteringsprocessen och det personliga varumärket samt hur man påverkar och utvecklar sitt eget personliga varumärke. Vi använde oss av kvalitativa intervjuer och samlade in material som ligger till grund för vårt resultat.

Denna rapport handlar om kvalitet på tekniska installationer i fastigheter. Det har blivit allt vanligare inom fastighetsbranschen att organisationer/företag handlar upp FM tjänster som stöd till sin kärnverksamhet. Detta för att kunna effektivisera sin kärnverksamhet och göra kostnadsbesparingar. Själv har jag arbetat några år som fastighetsförvaltare och då kommit i kontakt med FM tjänster. Funderingar som har funnits hos beställare av FM tjänster på den tekniska sidan har varit om FM leverantör utfört tillsyn och skötsel enligt avtal. Av egen erfarenhet har de uppenbarligen inte gjort tillsyn och skötsel enligt avtalen.

The purpose of my study is to question the model service marketing triangle and propose an alternative ways of looking at service marketing. The study is based on a deep, qualitative research. In the research of the material an abductive approach has been used. The primary information sources are interviews with project workers, which are being analyzed together with the theoretical background in part argumentations in the course of the thesis.
