Webbsidans funktion i marknadskommunikationen: Rapport 1: Passiva och reaktiva företag
Marketing communications have earlier been conducted via traditional channels. Today companies have discovered the possibility of doing much of their marketing communication in cooperation with the web at relatively low cost. This development has led to the ability for small businesses to compete with large companies independent of geographic location. The purpose with this thesis was to examine how small businesses use their website in marketing communications with their customers in the consumer market. In order to reach this purpose we have conducted interviews with five small businesses in different business trade with varying degrees of website usage, located in Piteå and Luleå.
Ja eller nej till filter? En kvalitativ undersökning i frågan om svenska folkbibliotek bör filtrera Internet eller ej.
The focus of this work is to study whether public libraries should offer their patrons unlimited access to the Internet, or restrict which sites they can visit. The most common tool used to limit Internet access is filtering software. The author has administered four interviews with public librarians working in libraries in Southern Sweden. All four librarians had different opinions about restricting Internet access. The most important question asked was if they had chosen to use filtering, and the reasons for their decision.

Internet har skapat ett nytt sätt att göra affärer genom att frambringa en helt ny marknad och omgivning för företagen. Många företag i olika branscher har idag kompletterat sin ordinarie försäljning med försäljning via Internet. En av dessa branscher är dagligvarubranschen som vi har valt att undersöka. Vårt syfte med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur butiker som säljer livsmedel via Internet har löst det nya försäljningssättet gällande de nya arbetsuppgifter som tillkommer. Vidare har vi undersökt butikernas syfte med att börja sälja livsmedel via Internet, samt vad de ser för fördelar.
Den gränslösa samlingen: de fria webbresursernas plats i beståndsutvecklingen på några svenska forskningsbibliotek
The aim of this master's thesis is to describe the management of free Internet resources in three Swedish research libraries. With the starting point in the increased quantity and importance of these resources, together with reflections on the change of the concept of collection, the thesis shows how and to what extent these freely accessible Internet resources are being integrated in the day-to-day work with collection development. It also elucidates the problems with the free Internet resources from the research libraries points of view. The study is based upon analyses of collection management literature and qualitative interviews with librarians at the chosen libraries. The thesis shows that the research libraries still have not come very far in their work of integrating the free Internet resources in their collections.
#Förskolan #webben och #utvecklingen: En studie om pedagogers uppfattningar kring dokumentation som publiceras på Internet
Syftet med vår studie är att förstå i vilken omfattning pedagoger använder Internet för att publicera dokumentation av barn i verksamheten, och hur delaktiga barnen är i dokumentationsprocessen. Vi vill åskådliggöra pedagogers uppfattningar om dokumentation som synliggörs på Internet och vi hoppas att tillföra en synvinkel av hur delaktiga barn är i dokumentationsprocesser, dels det som synliggörs i förskolan men även det som publiceras på Internet.För att fånga omfattningen av pedagogers användande av Internet i verksamheten samt deras uppfattningar ingick 63 förskollärare och barnskötare i en enkätstudie.Resultatet visar att det sker ett publicerande av dokumentation på Internet som är både öppet och slutet för allmänheten. En viktig slutsats är att barn inte alltid är helt delaktiga i dokumentationsprocessen och urval av material som ska publiceras samt att pedagoger inte alltid tänker på de socioekonomiska förutsättningarna som råder i Sverige. Detta kan leda till att barn eller vårdnadshavare inte får ta del av dokumentation då det ibland förutsätts att alla har tillgång till Internet i hemmet..
Ungdomars informationssökning på Internet : Vad ungdomar tycker om sina egna kompetenser och erfarenheter
The study aims to investigate student?s attitudes and experiences of information retrieval on the Internet, as tools for learning. I have been interested of their own views about their own knowledge and experience in the subject, information seeking on the Internet. The focus is on what they perceive as problematic, what skills they consider they have and what needs they have in terms of teaching. Data were collected via questionnaires.

The purpose of this media scientific study is to contribute to a better understanding about how blind people?s empowerment and participation may affect their role in the digital society.Earlier international studies in this area have shown that blind people not only need more knowledge then the seeing population about the computer, but also about the technology behind their tools for using Internet. The results from these studies have also shown that Internet increases the blind people?s independents and that those who use Internet feel more involved in the society.A qualitative method was chosen to study the three most common categories from the earlier studies: knowledge of technology, empowerment and participation. Are there differences in the results compared to our study in Sweden 2014?Interviews with eight blind, experienced computer users have shown that knowledge of technology is essential for their use of Internet and that the Internet increases their empowerment and their participation.
Storbranden på nätet : En studie i hur kommentarsfält och forum på nätet använder sig av nyhetsartiklar för att skapa diskussion kring en mordbrand.
The main purpose of this study has been to explore and determine how the journalistic work was used by internet users to start and keep a discussion on the internet going.We started in the aftermath of a local arson in a town of Sweden, where a discussion on the internet forum Flashback and the local newspapers commentary fields was raised.We have used these discussions to study what part the journalistic work play in these events. To do that we used a critical discourse analysis and a rhetoric analysis to investigate how these discussions use news articles to make their point. We divided the comments into four different categories, which are comments about understandings of the event, comments that talked about the matters of fact, criticism pointed at the newspaper and comments that identify the offenders.The result of the analysis shows that both forums use journalistic work as facts in their discussions. Both also use earlier articles that were written before the arson, to make their point in the discussion..
Aktioner och reaktioner - Kristna kvinnors motreaktioner till Femens aktioner i en proteströrelse på internet
Religion is not only manifested in the more traditional forms such as church attendance, but also in various expressions on social media. Facebook is seen by many as creating a social platform where different opinions and more unconventional discussions may flourish unlike how the traditional media convey information. Internet is therefore an interesting platform for investigating how information about religion is spread by researching religious behavior and expression. The focus of this essay is to examine visible, which includes text as a social practice, forms of religious expression shown by the discursive struggle between the Facebook-group Christian Women Against Femen and its counterpart feminist movement Femen. The essay seeks to answer how notions of femininity on the Internet are formulated and reproduced based on the discourse between these two women's movements.The essay highlights how the women?s movements, with their bodily manifestation and by their usage of words, construct and reproduce different images of gender and womanhood.
Aktiehandel och Internet : Internets påverkan på aktiehandeln och konsumentbeteende vid aktiehandel på Internet
Bakgrund: Uppkomsten av Internet och introduktionen av Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandel har gjort det möjligt att handla med aktier på ett helt nytt sätt. Denna uppsats fokuserar på att utreda huruvida Internet och Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandel via Internet har påverkat aktiehandeln vid Stockholmsbörsen. Frågorna uppsatsen har besvarats med hjälp av litteratur samt med hjälp av intervjuer med ansvariga för aktiehandeln vid två av Sveriges största banker.Problem: Hur har aktiehandeln på Stockholmsbörsen påverkats i och med att svenska folket fick tillgång till Internet och Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandeln?Vilka likheter och skillnader finns det mellan aktiehandel över Internet och annan Internetbaserad handel?Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att utreda hur aktiehandeln vid Stockholmsbörsen har påverkats i och med att aktiehandeln har blivit förenklad och tillgänglig för alla i en större utsträckning genom tillgången till Internettjänster som möjliggör aktiehandel. Ett delsyfte är att testa förklaringsvärdet på modellen för Internethandel som appliceras på empirin i denna uppsats.Resultat: Studien som har genomförts visar att Internettjänsterna inte direkt har lockat nya investerare att investera i aktier.

This paper is based on a quantitative survey. The study aims to answer the questionwhich media young people rather use to take part of the news. The results showthat young people today in Kalmar preferably and often read newspapers on theInternet and mobile phone.The questions asked was about which media they usually use, the level ofconfidence they had in various media, how interest was in different newscategories, willingness to pay for online news and background issues relatedsubjects. The survey was aimed at high school students in Kalmar and weredistributed and collected on-site at the schools. What was remarkable among theresponses was that young people largely had access to a morning newspaper athome and said that they would consider subscribing to one in the future.

Operators and Internet service providers invest in broadband to be able to deliver new services that require higher data transmission rate. A way to make this possible is to use ADSL, Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line, as the access technology. To be able to handle this technology, the service providers should do a pre-qualification. Methods and tools are needed to analyze the local copper lines and decide if these qualify for ADSL with respect to service availability and possible bandwidth through the lines. This report brings up some methods for pre-qualification of ADSL, the important quality parameters and how to gather them from the available services today.
Nyhetsmedia på Internet ? journalisters förhållningssätt till Internet som nyhetsmedium
The main purpose of this Master thesis is to investigate the journalists' attitude towards Internet as a news medium. The thesis also gives a general synopsis of the changing role of news media as enter the scene of Internet. The major part of this study consists of empirical studies though there is not much research-work made in this area. This case study is based on qualitative interviews of journalists. This method was the most suitable as the aim was to see tendencies and attitudes in a more individual light.
Favorit på Internet: en fallstudie om tonåringars ingående i relationer med företag på Internet
The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how teenagers are attracted and motivated to maintain a relationship with companies on the Internet. Companies that have teenagers as a target market have to understand their needs and wants, in order to establish relevant relations. The study has been carried out through a review of theory within the field of study. A case study was carried out through interviews with teenagers in the ages of 15 to 19. The results from the study showed that what mainly attract teenagers to visit a website are personal recommendations, the name on the website and high rankings on the search engines.
