Föreliggande undersökning innehåller en intervjustudie med sex lärare som handlar om Internet i SO-undervisningen. De intervjuade lärarna består av två kategorier lärare, dels är det lärare som använder Internet i sin SO-undervisning dels är detlärare som valt att inte använda Internet i sin SO-undervisning. Studien belyser vilka argument som ligger bakom varför eller varför inte lärare väljer att använda Internet i sin undervisning. Den beskriver vilka som är styrkorna respektive svagheterna med att använda Internet i SO-undervisningen. Den belyser även hur lärare använder Internet i SO-undervisningen.

The purpose of this study is to highlight how a ring road and an external retail establishment may affect the city commerce. Umeå is the study object with interesting undergoing changes including a new external retail area south of the city and a new transport route that will lead the through traffic around the city.The study is based on a review of previous studies and a qualitative method. Four interviews were conducted with people who have a connection to commerce and/or municipal planning and where considered able to contribute with rich and relevant information. The result shows that the commerce in Umeå will be significantly strengthened in the context of a new external commercial establishment when the city?s overall attractiveness increases.

En ny typ av mobbning har börjat tillämpas på grund av uppkomsten av, och den allmänna tillgången till, Internet: nämligen elektroniks mobbning (Wendland refererad i Raskauskas & Stoltz, 2007). För att kunna bekämpa elektronisk mobbning är det viktigt att förstå varför Internet används vid mobbning. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka bakgrunden till varför ungdomar idag använder sig av Internet vid mobbning. De frågeställningar som ingick var: Vad finns det för orsaker till att Internet används för mobbning? Hur används Internet vid mobbning? Vilka former av mobbning förekommer via Internet? För att kunna besvara frågeställningarna genomfördes en enkätundersökning med 58 tredjeårselever vid Luleå Gymnasieby.

A hearing loss may affect the identity development and participation among adolescents. To understand adolescents with hearing loss in modern society, it?s of great importance to ascertain how identity- and participation processes occur in new areas, such as the internet.Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate what research shown regarding identity development among adolescents with hearing loss and whether social processes on the internet may influence the participation of this group.Method: A literature review was conducted to obtain a cohesive framework of research about participation processes and identity development among adolescents. Included articles have been published 1995-2015.Results: The results show the importance of the individual?s identification with the surrounding.

Syftet är att undersöka hur en urvald grupp ungdommar ser på sitt eget sociala liv på internet.Materialet till arbetet består av 20 semistrukturerade intervjuer med ungdomar i åldrar 17 till 19.Teorin innefattar indentiet och globalisering.Resulatetet tyder på att internet fungerar som en förstärkning av respondenternas befintliga sociala nätverk. Respondenterna är starkt förankrade i deras lokala miljö. Den främst textbaserade interaktion respondenterna bedriver via internet är inget substitut för deras sociala interaktion i den fysiska verkligheten. Internet har erbjudit respondenterna ett träningsfält för deras identitetsutveckling. .

The main purpose of this Master thesis is to investigate the journalists' attitude towards Internet as a news medium. The thesis also gives a general synopsis of the changing role of news media as enter the scene of Internet. The major part of this study consists of empirical studies though there is not much research-work made in this area. This case study is based on qualitative interviews of journalists. This method was the most suitable as the aim was to see tendencies and attitudes in a more individual light.

Purpose/Aim: In the information and communication technology society (ICT) we live in today it is easy to feel that we are constantly expected to be available. The daily contact with the Internet and the use of cell phones has changed our way to communicate. With this in mind in combination with the increased stress among young adults my aim is to investigate how young adults, aged 23-26 years, experience to be constantly connected and available through the Internet and the cell phone. What are their opinions, attitudes and feelings about what this entails in their lives?Material/Method: The essay is based on four focus group interviews with sixteen students from Uppsala University aged 23-26, two groups consisting of women and two groups consisting of men.

The thesis analyzes two different approaches towards responsive web design, Mobile-first and Desktop-first. Responsive web design is a concept for websites whose design is customised based on the screen size. The analysis is performed by collecting views on the methods and also analyzing the usage of mobile and desktop internet to create a prototype of a responsive website where both methods are beeing used.The main difference between the methods is the foundation, where one is designed for mobile and the other for desktop. The thesis indicates that Mobilef-irst gives a better result for the mobile, which unlike the computer has poor performance, smaller screen and poor internet connection, therefore an advantage for the device that needs more focus to maintain a fast response. Desktop-first does not take this opportunity, but focus instead on the computer where the performance is better, which leads to a unnoticeable difference in response time.
