The internet may provide increased participation through access to information, stay connected with family/friends and facilitates communication for adolescents with hearing loss. Conclusion: Identity development seems to be based on adolescents? surroundings. The internet appears to serve as an instrument for increased participation; although the internet may pose a risk.
