The usage of internet is growing significantly every year in today?s society and whether you like or not, the internet has an influence in your life. It is therefore important to find out how people are affected by its use. We have through our study interviewed a number of people that uses internet on a day to day basis, who have agreed to live without internet access for a period of time. We started out by interviewing these people about their internet usage and what it means to them, then proceeded with their non-internet access period.

Background: Internet is a new phenomenon; small companies have only used Internet a couple of years. Internet created a lot of new possibilities for the companies. Internet is a new marketing and communication channel for the company. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine how small companies can use Internet as a strategic tool. Another purpose of this thesis is to generate a better understanding of the application of Internet in small companies.

People with disabilities constitute a big group of Internet users. Due to great advances in adaptive technology for people with disabilities more and more disabled will have access to Internet. En jämförelse mellan HTML5-canvas 2D-grafiska utritningar och WebGL med assistans av Three.js utritningar. Detta görs med hjälp av en illustration av en golfsving. Tidtagning sker med benchmarking via JavaScript. Testerna är utförda på Firefox, Google Chrome och Internet Explorer. Experimentets hypotes är att 2D utritningar är snabbare än 3D utritningar.

Företaget kontaktade Linköpings Universitet då de var i behov av en ny grafisk profil, främst då för Internet. En ny användarvänlig och dynamisk webbsajt med syftet att samla den allmänna kundgruppen, säljare samt personal på ett och samma ställe var vad som efterfrågades. Förutom att webbsajten skulle vara dynamisk och användarvänlig skulle den även vara lätt att uppdatera, erbjuda interaktivitet samt ge specifika användare en möjlighet till att kunna föra en diskussion och få tillgång till viktig information i en personlig community.Resultatet är en databasdriven webbsajt med kombinationen av HTML, CSS, PHP samt MySQL. Designen har skapats utifrån generella grundregler för användbarhet på Internet och för layout och design i allmänhet.

The purpose of this project was to investigate whether it was possible to develop a type of application, where users would solve chess problems. The main goal of the project was that there would exist an functional application after the study has ended with which users could solve chess problems on a computer. One subgoal of the project was to create corresponding application for mobile phones. The study was limited to require users to have at least Internet Explorer 9 +. For other browsers, there were no corresponding limitations.

The aim of this master thesis was to find out about librarians opinions of childrens libraries on the Internet, if it is a resource to reach children. Qualitative interviews were conducted with three librarians who had participated in the construction and development of childrens libraries on the Internet. IT and the Internet play an important role in childrens lives and children are using it to a greater extent. Libraries have begun to integrate IT and Internet into their services and are offering service on the Internet. The public library websites are usually for grown-ups and very few are directed to children.

De intervjuade lärarna består av två kategorier lärare, dels är det lärare som använder Internet i sin SO-undervisning dels är detlärare som valt att inte använda Internet i sin SO-undervisning. En ny typ av mobbning har börjat tillämpas på grund av uppkomsten av, och den allmänna tillgången till, Internet: nämligen elektroniks mobbning (Wendland refererad i Raskauskas & Stoltz, 2007). För att kunna bekämpa elektronisk mobbning är det viktigt att förstå varför Internet används vid mobbning. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att undersöka bakgrunden till varför ungdomar idag använder sig av Internet vid mobbning. De frågeställningar som ingick var: Vad finns det för orsaker till att Internet används för mobbning? Hur används Internet vid mobbning? Vilka former av mobbning förekommer via Internet? För att kunna besvara frågeställningarna genomfördes en enkätundersökning med 58 tredjeårselever vid Luleå Gymnasieby.

Syftet är att undersöka hur en urvald grupp ungdommar ser på sitt eget sociala liv på internet.Materialet till arbetet består av 20 semistrukturerade intervjuer med ungdomar i åldrar 17 till 19.Teorin innefattar indentiet och globalisering.Resulatetet tyder på att internet fungerar som en förstärkning av respondenternas befintliga sociala nätverk. Respondenterna är starkt förankrade i deras lokala miljö. Den främst textbaserade interaktion respondenterna bedriver via internet är inget substitut för deras sociala interaktion i den fysiska verkligheten. Internet har erbjudit respondenterna ett träningsfält för deras identitetsutveckling. .

A study based on the consumer buying decision process to discover the typical use of the Internet in the consumer buying decision process when buying clothes. The matter is researched through an Internet survey which discovers how the consumer use the Internet in each step of the buying decision process by using predetermined options. As a result, the conclusion is that people most commonly use the traditional alternatives in the buying decision process of clothes. However, information about a product is often collected on the Internet, mostly on different webshops. The main reason, for people to buy clothes on the Internet, is that the consumers consider it is more convenient and time saving.
